LRW796 Tiny Bunny

Hello, peeps! Yay, it's Friday! I have a fun little Easter card for you today. The challenge at Little Red Wagon this week is "Tiny Dancer"; they want to see something tiny on your card!  (Do you now have Elton John stuck in your head?)  So here we go:

I used an embossing folder and die from Simon Says Stamp, and diecut the wee bunny from a circle of Bubble Bath cardstock. I have struggled with this color; it's a little too purple for me to really consider it a pink, and it's tough to photograph! I am still lamenting the loss of Pink Pirouette, right, Beth?  Anyway, I went with it, stamping my circle with some little Bubble Bath polka dots and popping up the bunny with double mini dimensionals:

I struggled to get the sentiment dark enough, so I opted for Smoky Slate for both the outside and inside sentiments, and added some gray gingham to pull it all together!

Both sentiments came from the retired Little Cuties set!  Now, to make a few more Easter cards!  Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP720 Color Challenge from Elizabeth

Happy Sunday, peeps! The Paper Players are back from the holiday break, with Elizabeth as our first hostess of 2025! She's chosen a fun, bright color combo for us today:

My niece is expecting a little girl next week, so I thought I'd use these colors to make a cute congrats card for her:

My colors are a little muted but I thought for a baby card, these ginghams would be a great match!  I diecut each color with a postage stamp die from Waffleflower and topped them with these images from Little Cuties (retired):

I mounted them on a piece of embossed Basic White to look like a quilt, then added the "blessed"from Paper Sweeties.  I did add a couple little sequins for fun!  The inside sentiment is an older from Papertrey:

I am also entering this at Inkspirational, where the challenge this week is Pretty Quilts.  I hope the embossed "quilt top" is sufficient!

I hope you'll get back into the crafting swing of things by playing with our first color challenge of 2025!  Check out what the Design Team crafted over at the Paper Players blog to get some inspiration! Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

KC705 Ears to You

Happy Thursday, peeps!  And Happy Leap Year day! I made a fun card yesterday, trying to get a wee bit ahead of making some Easter cards and I remembered this fun little Impression Obsession set with bunnies and squirrels!  So I stamped a few and here's what I came up with:

I stamped the bunnies in Smoky Slate and die cut them out, then mounted them on a Lemon Lolly mat, cut with a Close to My Heart die.  Each opening was filled with a little scrap of gingham, and the bunnies were popped up on top!  I had the retired Little Cuties set out on my desk for another project and I thought the sentiments would work well with all those wee little ears, LOL!

I added a Lemon Lolly twine bow and it was finished!  And I am going to toss this in the ring over at Krafty Chicks where anything goes!

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

Dutch Birthday

Hi peeps, happy Friday!  I have a card similar to my Inspired By card from yesterday (you can see it here).  I don't know about you, but often my cardmaking process is full of stops, starts, detours and crashes!  Sometimes I am able to take the casualties from the "accidents" and make a new card, which is what I did today!  I had originally stamped the scalloped border of my card in Just Jade, but it seemed too strong of a color for the florals, so I opted for a softer Mint Macaron.  But I saved that Just Jade piece, and when I turned the DSP over, this pretty floral appeared!  I had an older Artistic Outpost set on my desk, which featured a windmill I had never gotten inky, so I inked it up in Just Jade and here's what turned out:

I took advantage of a little scrap of polka dot paper that coordinated, and layered it under the scallop, then added some Bumblebee gingham ribbon:

I still had Little Cuties on my desk, so I used the birthday sentiment from it and diecut it with a Tasteful Labels die:

And I happened to see this Library challenge on my friend Michele's blog, so I am entering it there as well:

It's funny...when I was a little girl, I was obsessed with Holland!  I wanted to visit there; not sure what the appeal was, maybe windmills, wooden sabots or tulips!  Might have been a children's book I read too!  Anyway, this brought back some fond memories!  Thanks for visiting today!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

CAS Easter Cards

I have a couple of really easy cards using some sweet Easter images! The first one uses Little Cuties, which is a fun little (retired) set that has lots of images perfect for spring, babies or children's birthdays!  I chose to use the chick and the EARS for a CAS, one-layer card:

It's a note-sized card, stamped in Stazon on Thick Whisper White cardstock, colored with So Saffron, Mango Melody and Pear Pizzazz inks:

I'm entering this in Little Red Wagon's one-layer challenge, Krafty Chick's CAS challenge, and the CAS Colour & Sketches color challenge:

My second one is very simple as well; my sweet friend Vickie shared this bunny image with me and I trimmed it with some Stitched Rectangle dies and added some gingham:

The sentiment is also from Little Cuties, cut (and trimmed a bit) with a Tasteful Labels die:

That sweet little face...love it!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

IB166 Easter Bunnies

Hello, everyone!  What a sweet Inspired By inspiration photo Danni has for us this week!  I just love the sweet little patchwork blanket with all the little bunnies popping out!  Adorable!

And here is our optional sketch:

The mailman just happened to drop off this cute little Poppystamps bunny die just in time for today's challenge!  I cut three of them out of some retired Naturals Ivory cardstock and backed them with some retired DSP to create a clean and simple card:

I cut out a fourth one and snipped out the bunny, just leaving the frame, and adhered it to another piece of cardstock, trimmed it, then stamped a sentiment from the retired Little Cuties on it:

On the inside, I adhered the snipped-off bunny to a Pear Pizzazz panel and added a sentiment from W+9:

The Inspired By design team did an awesome job with their cards this week...."hop" over to the blog and see what they created!  Then share yours with us as well!  Thanks for visiting today!

Sorry....one of our favorite games!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

So Tiny So Small

Happy Saturday, everyone!  I have a sweet baby card to share with you today!  Young friends of ours just adopted a little boy, and I made this card to welcome him to their family!

The Rainbow Card Challenge this month is "Totally Tiffany", which is a color I just love!

I found some papers in a scrapbook pad I was given, and I thought they would be pretty with this little rocking horse image from Little Cuties.  It's hard to see but the clouds are sparkly!  So here we go:

I was stamped in Smoky Slate and colored with Pool Party and Smoky Slate Blends; I added a little gingham paper-pieced saddle just for fun, as well as some stars in the background to coordinate with the starry, glittery background!  I also added a scallop of Glimmer paper too, just for fun!  The sentiment from Wildly Happy was stamped on a diecut from the new Ornate Layers dies...what an awesome set!

The inside was stamped with some Paper Pumpkin stars and a sentiment from God's Blessings:

This card is larger than the standard A4 size to accommodate the cute papers as well as that cute image! I sure had fun making this and I wish them all the blessings in the world!!  Thanks for popping in today!

Dana and her coworker unknowingly wore the same colors today---and the residents at the nursing home where they work made them matching masks!

Here in PA, our governor has now "recommended" wearing masks anywhere outside...and we are now not allowed to drive to Delaware unless we are prepared to quarantine ourselves there for 14 days!!  Delaware is only a hop, skip and a jump from us and we would regularly go there to shop, as they have no sales tax.  I hope this is all over very soon!  Enjoy your day (or at least try to) and be blessed!

Hello Peeps

Happy Saturday!  I have a couple more cards today; this one is another CAS one, using the CAS(E) This Sketch sketch, way back from its very onset:

As I was laying in bed yesterday morning, this little set, Basket Bunch, popped into my mind and I thought how cute it would be in this layout!  So here we go:

All the peeps and bunny were stamped in Stazon, colored with Blends, and mounted on a small stitched circle die from Stitched Labels:

I pulled out a couple more oldies for the inside:

Jingle Belles has a Fa-La-La challenge, which is to use music on your card, and I have had some of this musical DSP for a long time, and never knew quite how to use it:

I mounted it on a cardstock of Crumb Cake after sponging the edges, then added a wide organdy ribbon, a sentiment from O Holy Night (Papertrey), stamped on Very Vanilla, and I added some glimmer paper greenery:

A good trick for diecutting glimmer paper using intricate dies is to peel the backing off the back of the glimmer paper.  I also use a Precision Base Plate....the combination of those two really make the paper pop out easily!  This uses the sketch from Inspire Create:
Thanks for popping in today!!  Be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Paper Players sketch, too!

A little virtual karate:

CAS359 and CC135 Puppy Birthday

Happy Monday, peeps!  I hope you had a good weekend!  I made a simple birthday card for a young lady at our church, and I used the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch and the photo inspiration from If You Give a Crafter a Cookie:

So here we go:

I took a little liberty with the sketch, switching the sentiment with the two panels at the bottom!  This sweet little pup is from Little Cuties (ret), and he was stamped with Stazon ink and colored with a blender pen and inks:

The Rococo Rose panel was stamped with a polka dot stamp from Papertrey ink in white craft ink, and I added a little scallop of Smoky Slate, and mounted it on a Smoky Slate card!  I hope she likes it!  Thank you for popping in today--enjoy your day and be blessed!

RRCB117 Sweet Baby

Hi everyone!  It's Tuesday, and that means it's time for another Retro Rubber challenge, where we give our older stamps some love!  Today we have an easy theme:

Image may contain: text

We have a newcomer at our church, and she just happened to have a little girl on MY BIRTHDAY!! Woohoo!  We are taking her a meal today, so I wanted to make a card for her and so this challenge was perfect!  I used my much-neglected Little Cuties stamp set (2017), stamping the pieces on some Shimmery White cardstock and used Blends to color them in; I must say that the Blends "blend" very nicely on this cardstock, I'll be using it more!  So here we go:

I used the TGIF sketch for my starting point:

I used some Homespun Gingham from My Favorite Things for the background, adhering it to a Soft Seafoam card base. I cut two scalloped edges using the Be Mine die from some Crisp Cantaloupe (ret) cardstock for a border, and I used an older PTI set called Daily Design Sentiments for the banner, stamped in Mint Macaron.  I don't have any idea how old that set is, but I am guessing it is from around 2010.  I know I've had it for a long time!  I also stamped some random flowers from a 2015 Paper Pumpkin set as a background:

My final embellishment was to add some faceted dots in Mint Macaron and Grapefruit Grove!  I stamped this sentiment on the inside in Smoky Slate (God's Blessings, 2006):

I am looking forward to meeting this little sweetie!  I hope you'll play along with our Retro Rubber challenge...just remember that the stamps must be at least one year old and you must tell us the age!  Have fun!

I babysat yesterday and Cassidy went into hairdresser mode, or perhaps I should say "hair decorator" mode.  She gave Jackie the rainbow hair treatment....thank goodness Jackie's mom is very chill about it!

I have to admit that it was cute!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!
