CMCC65 and CASology 140

DSCF8955

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Just a quick clean and simple card for the Colour Me…! color challenge this week:

and the CASology cue for this week is “spring”:

So, I combined a current set, Adventure Awaits, with an older set, Bootiful Occasions for a tongue-in-cheek card:

I used the Cloudy Day embossing folder; colored the boots with reinkers and my aquapainter; and popped them up….and it was fun and done!

New Goodies!

DSCF2970

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Three cards today, all using some sort of new product from the upcoming catalog!  I went on a card-making blitz Tuesday morning to make some samples for my club girls, and this part of my stack!

The first one is a tall, skinny card using the new In Color Blackberry Bliss, new Moonlight DSP, new stamp set called Something to Say, and Six-Sided Sampler:

This one uses the new In Color Lost Lagoon (LOVE this) with Geometrical and Bootiful Occasions as well as the Cloudy Day embossing folder, still available on the Clearance Rack!  The boot was stamped with Memento ink, which will be available to use with the new Blendabilities, which I used on the boot as well….a learning curve with them, for sure, but fun to use!

Finally, a cute little card made with a portion of a card from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Card Collection.  I cut part of it off to use with my scrapbook page (YES, I am actually scrapbooking!) and thought it would be cute on a card.  It uses the little heart from Something to Say, punched out with the new little heart punch and embellished with the new thicker Baker’s Twine in Strawberry Slush.  Sentiment is from Yippee Skippee!

Bootiful Rainy Day

DSCF2307

Hi everyone! Squeaking in a second card today because this sketch from the Paper Craft Crew is almost up:

Card Sketch

The Kraft Journal this week has a “rain” theme, and The Catered Crop is “think green”…..so I made green Wellies:

I stamped my boots from Bootiful Occasions in Basic Brown and used a blender pen and Wild Wasabi ink to color them in:

A few faux buttons and a little PTI sentiment banner, and this little card will be on its way to someone with a spring birthday!!  Thanks for poppin’ in!  And since it is just sprinkling outside, this is a perfect card for my day!

Cassidy got out some pots and pans (and a bucket!!) and was making “stew” for her doll and Lambie:

DSCF7760

Yay, it’s Friday!  Hope you have had a wonderful week!  Today I am sharing a birthday card for a neighbor who loves horses and all things Western:

DSCF7759

This is also for the Stampin’ Royalty challenge this week, which is to use lots of designer paper!  This one sure does….all the DP is from Cosmo Cricket’s Wanted line, and the charms are diecuts are from MFT.  And even though I used lots of papers, it was really a quick card to make!  And I hope it doesn't look too dumb, but you know horseshoes are supposed to be right side up for good luck, right?  I personally don't believe in luck, but I don't want anyone to call me out on my wrong-way horseshoe, LOL!   Here are a couple closeups:

These photos look a bit washed out….in real life, the colors are deep & rich and match quite nicely!  But you get the idea!  I used the sentiments from Bootiful Occasions as well:

I hope she likes it!

My nephew came to visit for a couple of days to help John with the garage project; Cassidy put him to work as soon as he arrived:

ColourQ 309

DSCF7580

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Ahhh….things are beginning to get a wee bit back to normal around here….not quite, but almost!  Arielle kicked up her inspiration for the ColourQ with these amazing boots:

If I was even remotely able to wear these, I’d snag them in a heartbeat!  Aren’t they cool?  I decided to go a bit literal, using a Unity cowgirl boot stamp I’ve had for a while:

CQC205 LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings MOJO 309 Bootiful Occasions Unity

I heat embossed the boots with Versamark, Basic Gray ink and clear embossing powder, then used an aquapainter and inks to color in the boots.  I added panels of DP in Island Indigo and Raspberry Ripple, mounting the whole shebang on a Regal Rose card.  My sentiment was stamped on a little diecut from the Circle Card thinlits.....what fun those dies are!!!  Stars are from Simply Stars.

I also used the Mojo Monday 309 sketch:

and since I did some watercoloring, it's good for the Just Add Ink challenge this week, which is coloring!!! And here’s the inside:

I was intrigued by the interpretations of the design team….some really fun creations there, so make sure you stop by the ColourQ blog to see what they came up with….and share your creation too!  Enjoy your day!

A recent session playing with homemade “play-dough”…..a bit of a sticky mess, but she had fun!

Paper Players 139 and Happy Easter!

easter printable vintage image--graphicsfairy2

A happy Sunday and a Happy Easter to everyone!  I hope you all have a restful, blessed day!  Jaydee is our hostess today and since it’s the fifth week of the month, we have a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge!  Here you go:

I chose to go diagonally from left top to bottom right, and I have to admit, this was a real quick little project as it has been a busy week here:

PP139-LeAnne

This whole thing started with the gingham ribbon….it had been kicking around on my table for a couple of weeks so I thought I should just USE it!  I had one SU Kraft Gift Box (they are on page 161 of the catalog---at $2.95 for 4, they are a great buy!) left in my stash, so I covered it with some springy pink and green DP, then made a tag from the Two Tags die with some green striped paper and stamped and colored the rain boot from Bootiful Occasions for my embellishment.  The bow is tied on with some retired grosgrain ribbon, and it just slips off to get the goodies inside!!!

DSCF3594

I used a blender pen to color in my boot with Primrose Petals ink….I wish I had a pair of boots like this!  I am sure I could use them splashing around in the spring rain that is sure to come!

I hope you can splash on over to the Paper Players blog to see the other springy creations our wonderfully talented team has stamped for you!  Share your project too!  Can’t wait to see it!

We had a lovely day yesterday with family and friends—a wonderful lunch and a fun Easter egg hunt with Cassidy:

And afterwards:  the lineup!

And finally, one more lovely Easter card I received from my friend Doris:

I love this embossing folder…she got it as a gift; anyone know who makes it?

Enjoy your day, in whatever way you spend it!

Kick Up Yer Heels!

DSCF2972-001

Happy Saturday!  Today is my daughter’s birthday – it’s a big one!!!  I got this stamp set back when the new SU catalog came out, just because I knew I could use this image for her….she loves to country line dance!!!

DSCF2972

I used a tag from Two Tags and mounted my paper-pieced cowboy boots on top….added a glimmer brad and some ribbon and twine, and it’s done!  BTW, when I got this stamp, I cut the sentiment apart from the boot image…..I like being able to stamp it anywhere I want!!!

DSCF2974

This is also for the Catered Crop Polka Dot Recipe Swap challenge!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day, Cassidy and Grampy played in the sandbox!  Grampy helped Cassidy make a “cake”!!!

ColourQ 144 & Sketch Frenzy Friday

 DSCF5180-001

Happy Fourth of July eve, everyone!  Arielle has a patriotic color theme for us today:

cqc144

You can see that patriotic colors can be used for lots of other items as well---isn’t this dress so pretty?!  For my card, I used a new set, Bootiful Occasions, along with the sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday:

and here is my simple little card:

CQC144-LeAnne

I wouldn’t say this was my most original card---I think my mojo  went on vacation and forgot to return!  I will keep plugging along and hope it makes an appearance again!  I used the new Chevron embossing folder; stamped my Calpyso Coral boot in Poppy Parade, and stamped “celebrate” from Fabulous Phrases in Brocade Blue on a little banner from Itty Bitty Banners.  I added another banner in some “denim” DP and a piece of denim ribbon under the sentiment, as well as some star brads and red rhinestones for some kickin’ boots:

DSCF5181

I did cut the sentiment apart from the boot, and I’ll stamp that on the inside:  “Kick up yer heels!”  Cute!  I hope this will give you some inspiration to create your own special card or project, and share it with us on the ColourQ blog!  There are some amazing creations there!!!  Be sure to stop by and give the designers some love!

We had a lovely weather day yesterday and Cassidy expended a LOT of energy pushing her little toy through a puddle on the driveway (made by yours truly---a watering can of water is a wonderful thing!):
