Little Gifty Things

Hi peeps! Just popping in with a quick little post; I wanted to make Cassidy a little candy gift for Valentine's and while I was at it, I made a tea bag gift for a friend of mine as well:

These are super-easy to make; you can google tea bag holder and find some tutorials.  I used the video from Brenda Keenan; you can see it HERE.  It only uses one piece of 6x6 DSP along with whatever scraps you need for embellishments!

I used the Toadstool Gardens DSP along with the Hugs for Love stamp on the candy one, along with some Fresh Freesia ribbon.  The tea bag holder used some Lemon Lime Twist retired DSP along with Hugs For Love, Banner Year and Little Delights stamps.  I did diecut a little Daffodil Delight with the retired Pierced Blooms dies, and I used a retired oval punch too!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

From My Heart to Yours

Happy Friday, everyone! And a love-filled Happy Valentine's Day to all my dear stamping friends out there! I've gotten several beautiful cards already! How fun!  My card today is for my own special Valentine!  I used the Just Add Ink sketch as well as the challenge to use red from Little Red Wagon:

I pulled out some older retired goodies and went to work:

I used the Perennial Postage dies to cut out my little postage stamp elements, backed them with some retired red DSP and stamped some Valentine-ish images and sentiments on each one! I think my favorite might be the chocolate-covered strawberry!  Yum! I added the little numbers (rather crookedly, I admit) with a tiny little peg stamp called Simple Serif:

I backed it on a piece of Basic White, embossed with the Dotted Circles embossing folder and then put it on an Early Espresso card base.  I forgot to take a picture of the inside, and it's already sealed in an envelope, so you'll have to just imagine!

Thanks for popping in today, I hope you have a wonderful day with those whom you love!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

RRCB242 Grateful Heart

Happy Friday, everyone! The weekend is ahead, and it's a busy one for us, so I'll make this quick!  The Retro Rubber challenge is to make a fall card and since October is Pastor Appreciation month, AND it's almost over, I thought I'd better get to creating something for our pastor!

My pastor likes things PLAIN!!  Which is a challenge when you're a card-maker, as we want to add all kinds of doodads on our cards!  So this card is kind of plain but I did add some colors and patterns that kept to a fall theme:

I used the retired Stitched Leaves dies to cut out this pretty leaf; my papers are from Simple Stories and Authentique.  The sentiment is from Banner Year from 2020.  I used oval punches to punch it out, and I added another wee little maple heart from Itty Bitties, which I've had since 2013!  I actually made another card before this one, changing the orientation of the leaf and adding a woven linen knot, but it didn't look quite right, so I made another one!  What do you think?

The inside sentiment is from Little Delights, from 2021.  I love the font in this one!

Thanks for popping in today! Gotta go make a pumpkin roll!  Enjoy the day and be blessed!

RRCB240 Tree For All Seasons

Happy Friday, peeps! Hope you have a good weekend planned! I am going to put up my Halloween decorations! My card today uses the sketch from the girls are Retro Rubber:

How fun is that?!  Gave me a chance to use up some "retro" scraps as well as use a stamp set that debuted in 2006!  That's 18 years ago!  This was one of my favorites from way back when, too!  So here we go:

The stamp set is called A Tree for All Seasons, and of course, I used the fall image.  I stamped it in Stazon black ink, then watercolored those itty-bitty teeny-tiny leaves!  My only regret is that I think I should have used white cardstock instead of Basic Beige.  Anyway, I diecut it with a Stylish Shapes dies and added a sentiment from the retired Banner Year (2020), stamped in Old Olive:

I cut 1" strips of DSP from Orchard Harvest & Come to Gather DSPs, and added a scalloped mat of More Mustard.  It's a wee bit busy with all the prints, but it was fun to put them together like a quilt!

Dana and I both had entries in the Solanco Fair this year;  I didn't take a picture of my cross stitch (it won a 2nd), but here's a picture of her winning kaleidoscope crochet blanket....she won a first in her division!

It's a wee bit hard to see as there is a heavy layer of clear plastic over it to keep the dust off!  But the whole blanket is just full of these "Rich Regal" hues! Thanks so much for popping in today! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

FMS632 With Pets & More

Happy Thursday, peeps! I recently got the Latte Love bundle, and the first thing I make with the DSP is a Halloween card, LOL!  I have also been playing with the two-step stamp, Pets & More, and wondered what I could do with the owl! When I saw one of the patterns in the A Little Latte line, it made me think of a spooky woods, so I went with it! Here we go:

I used the FMS sketch for my 4 1/4" card:

and along with the DSP, I embossed a piece of Early Espresso with a Timber embossing folder.  Throughout the Year has a Halloween sentiment in it, so I stamped that along with the owl on a piece of Very Vanilla:

Some Neutral adhesives added a little bit of interest, and I used a retired stamp from Banner Year to stamp on the inside of my card:

I also needed a thank you card, so I used the puppy stamp along with some Pretty Peacock gingham papers and an Eyelet embossing folder:

Another sentiment from Throughout the year and a few faceted gems finished it off.  Isn't his little bowl cute?

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP662 CAS Happy Fall Y'All

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It's time for another Paper Players challenge, with Joanne as our hostess, and she has a Clean-and-Simple one for us:

Remember, CAS means limited layers and we like to see some open space!  I combined the challenge with the gorgeous color palette over at As You See It:

So here we go:

I do have a few layers on my card, but they're pretty plain, so I am hoping Joanne won't disqualify me!  I diecut a layer of Basic White cardstock and embossed it with the retired Gingham EF, then diecut a pumpkin from a piece of Copper Clay that had piece of Adhesive Sheet adhered to the back.  Once I did the diecut, I peeled off the adhesive sheet from the back and stuck it to another piece of Copper Clay and fussy-cut it out to create the base for my pumpkin.  Although you can't see it here, I coated each portion of the diecut with Wink of Stella...it looks amazing in real life!  A few Crumb Cake leaves and a sentiment from the retired Banner Year finished it off, all on a base of Misty Moonlight:

I recently won a gift certificate to Pink & Main, and I sent this as a thank you; here's the inside, because they did certainly brighten up my day!

Thanks to my friend Lisa, I am entering this over at the JUGS challenge this week, which is "pumpkins"!

I love the rich colors on this card, thanks to AYSI!  I hope you'll play along with our CAS challenge too...the signs of autumn are certainly visible in my neck of the woods!  Be sure to pop over to the Players to see what everyone else created, then share yours with us too!

A few signs of fall around the farm:

The berries are some sort of holly and elderberry; the maple trees are just starting to turn:

Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Be Merry in Pink

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  I have a very merry, very pink Christmas card for you today; it uses the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown sketch as well as the pink theme from the gals at Jingle Belles:

So here we go:

My background is Bubble Bath DSP that was embossed with the Stitched With Whimsy die.  I used some black and white glimmer paper, along with a little retired snowman punch, to create my focal point trio.  They were mounted on stitched squares of Bubble Bath cardstock, and I added a couple of diecut snowflakes for fun!

I stamped a sentiment from the retired Banner Year on the front, as well as on the inside:

A fun, non-traditional Christmas card!  And let me tell you, the temps felt like Christmas yesterday---cold and windy!  This fall has been such an odd one, weather-wise!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

TSOT589 The Squirrel Whisperer

Happy Thursday, peeps! I have another masculine birthday card today and it uses the sketch from Try Stampin on Tuesday as well as their optional theme of monochromatic:

One of our dear friends had to retire early due to illness and took up the habit of sitting on his front porch and feeding peanuts to the local squirrels.  They became so accustomed to him they would come up on the porch and take peanuts from his hand!  His niece dubbed him "The Squirrel Whisperer"!  So I made him a squirrel card with the only squirrel stamp I could find in my stash, from Banner Year:

This is a really basic card, no frills or embellishments.  I used Cinnamon Cider for the squirrels and punched them out with a circle punch.  I also stamped some acorns (as I didn't have any peanut stamps) and added them to the banner:

I did a computer-generated sentiment for the inside:

He always remarks how much he likes receiving my cards and is quite disappointed to receive a store-bought card (and tells me about it) so I hope he'll get a chuckle from this one!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Scottie Birthday

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  My niece has a birthday coming up and she has THREE scottie dogs!  Her house is a madhouse when the doorbell rings! But they are so cute!  I chose to only use one scottie on her birthday card today, it's from Christmas Scottie!  Here we go:

I used the sketch only from In(k)spire Me:

I stamped and fussy-cut my scottie, then diecut a gift from the Spruced Up Outlines dies in both Pool Party and Glimmer Specialty Paper.  In hindsight, I should have used just the plain white Glimmer Paper, but this will have to do!

I gave him a Pool Party bow, added a Pool Party heart and mounted him on a Basic White layer on top of a Pool Party scalloped mat.  The background paper is from Celebrate Everything and the sentiment is from the retired Picture Perfect Birthday.  Here's the inside as well:

It was fun to use a non-traditional color; I usually gravitate towards red when I stamp scotties!  Hope she likes it!  Thanks for popping in today!  And speaking of red, there's a lot of it in my travels lately, along with orange, yellow and green:

Just beautiful!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Jingle Belles Plaid

Hi there, stampers!  I have another quick card for you today for the Jingle Belles plaid Christmas challenge!  I got these papers a while back and forgot I had them!  I used the Stitched Plaid dies to create "trees"...so here we go:

I mounted them on an embossed panel and a Misty Moonlight card; then added some silver glimmer paper stars and a silver-embossed sentiment tag:

A sentiment and another tree on the inside, and it's done:

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

TTTC148 You're Sweet Shaker

Hi everyone!  It's Thursday and time for Team X of the Tic Tac Toe challenge to share their grid for the week:

I'm still having fun with SU's Sweet Talk DSP....this time I made a shaker card with the heart pattern and the Tailor Made Tags die!  Here we go:

I layered the print paper on a diecut Stitched Rectangle of Blushing Bride, then cut a tag to match.  I used a smaller Stitched Rectangle die to cut an opening, then added an acetate window and some strips of Foam Adhesive Sheets along the inside edges.  I cut another tag from Basic White cardstock and stamped a sentiment and envelope from Banner Year and a stamped a Watercolor Shape on top.  I threw in some sequins from my stash, adhered the two layers together and added a Real Red satin ribbon:

I added a retired sentiment from Delightful Dozen on the inside!  This fulfills almost the whole grid, except for the silver square, LOL!

I hope you'll come play along with our grid this week...there's still time to make a loving creation to share!  See you at Tic Tac Toe!
