Club Projects

Hello stampers, happy Tuesday! I didn't have time to stamp yesterday, so I thought I'd share a couple of the projects my stampers made last night at my last "Christmas In" stamp camp:

The above one uses some retired SU papers along with an embossing folder from Tim Holtz, all on a  Call Me Clover card base.  It was embellished with some glimmer paper stars....easy and fun!

This one uses a stamp from Stampendous called Christmas Background.  It was stamped in Cherry Cobbler and sponged with Crumb Cake to give it an aged look.  A little pinecone and evergreen sprig embellished it, along with a Sweet Sorbet ribbon, which looked better in real life than it does here, although it definitely does has a pink tinge to it!

I'll be back tomorrow with two more!  And on a funny note, when we were at the wee little Cookie Cottage, we were asked to put our names in a hat for a drawing.  John had already gone back outside, but the proprietor told me to put his name in also.  So imagine his surprise on Monday morning when she called John and told him he won a dozen springerle cookies!  He didn't even know he entered!  So we'll be getting twelve of those pretty little treats!

Thanks for visiting today, enjoy it and be blessed!

RRCB174 Pastel Angels

Hello, peeps!  It's the first Retro Rubber challenge of 2022, where we give our older stamps some love, and Jane has some really cute prompts for us!  Here's our first one...dig it!

I feel like a ninny because these would be perfect colors for a Valentine's card, but I pulled out a Christmas stamp from 2011 by Stampendous; I had seen my creative friend Lisa use this and I just had to have it for myself!  And here is my pastel card:

Aren't those little angels adorable?  I stamped them on Shimmery White paper with Stazon ink and watercolored them with reinkers of Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Balmy Blue and Blushing Bride:

I added some pastel snowflakes and mounted it on some retired snowy DSP from SU; the sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas (2019).  I am also entering this at the Krafty Chicks Christmas challenge #594 for this week!

SO....what will you stamp with these pretty pastel colors?  Just make sure you use a stamp that's at least one year old, tell us the date of the stamp in your post and then share it with us at Retro Rubber!  Can't wait to see what you create!  Thanks for popping in today!

I made sure my bird feeders were full this past weekend, as it was very cold!  Plus John gave me a bird bath heater for Christmas and I was hoping to see some birds finally taking advantage of it!  Success!! This male bluebird came back several times:

And this Northern mockingbird gave me a look as if to say "Mind your own business!"  I apologize for the fuzzy pictures, I was taking these from inside, through a screen!  But you can still see them pretty clearly!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Vintage Snowy Postcard Christmas

Happy Saturday, peeps!  What a lovely day I had yesterday, no humidity, the pool wasn't crowded and the sun was bright!  I came home and made a very quick Christmas card for the Jingle Belles' Blue Christmas challenge as well as the Festive Friday challenge of vintage:

#festivefridaychallenge, #FF0040, Senior Citizen's Day, Retro cards, Vintage cards

This Stampendous image is so large, it really doesn't allow for much embellishment, but that's okay, because it's so pretty!  I stamped it in Lost Lagoon ink (ret) on Very Vanilla cardstock and diecut it with the largest Stitched Rectangle die:

Before adhering it to a Lost Lagoon card base, I sponged the edges with Sahara Sand ink, and then for a little interest, I stamped the two holly images again on some scraps, colored them with Lost Lagoon ink and a Wink of Stella pen, then fussy-cut them and popped them up:

It's a shame you can't see the shimmer, because it's really pretty!  I added some shimmer to the roof of the house and the snowy foreground as well!  I added a simple sentiment on the inside, and it was done!  Another card for my stash!  Thanks for popping by today!  Be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Paper Players challenge!

A few more birthday cards:

An amazing tropical shaker card from Sally, and a beautiful floral creation from Renita:

And a delightful floral in gorgeous Pool Party from Robyn, and a beautiful bluebell from Bonnie:

It's been fun to revisit these pretty cards!  Thanks, ladies!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

RRCB113 Anything Goes Vintage Christmas

Happy Tuesday!  It's Retro Rubber time, where we give our older stamps some love!  Here's an easy one for you...Anything Goes!

Image may contain: text

I used several older stamps for my vintage Christmas card today...it uses the FMS sketch from last week, which is expired, but I loved it so much I used it again anyway!  So here we go:

I was in the mood for some vintage images, so I pulled out a couple of vintage-style stamps from my stash:  Christmas Background (Stampendous, not sure of date but I've had it a couple of years), and Paisley (2006).  I stamped the collage in Merry Merlot of some scrapbook paper in a warm vanilla hue, and sponged the edges with some Soft Suede ink.  To give a wee bit of added interest, I stamped a fir tree from Flourishes' Forest of Trees set (2012) directly over the collage in Sahara Sand; it's a little hard to see, but I like the subtle effect.

It was then mounted on a Merry Merlot card base that was stamped with the Paisley background stamp, also in Merry Merlot ink.  I stamped some Christmas words from Sweet and Sassy (2009) in White Craft ink and heat set them with white embossing powder, then diecut them with a banner die and layered them on the left side:

Finally, I stamped a sentiment and another tree on the inside:

The name of the sentiment set is Handy Christmas Greetings, from Amy R, and I know I've had it for several years, but I can't find a date....I'll just say it's definitely older than a year!  And since this is definitely vintage, not just the stamps but the images too, I am entering this is the Christmas Card Throwdown challenge for June, where they are looking for shabby/vintage Christmas cards!

Hope you'll play along with our Anything Goes challenge!  Just be sure to use stamps over a year old, and be sure to tell us how old they are!  Can't wait to see your creation in the gallery!

SO...you might remember that Cassidy's dad rescued a little dog that had been abandoned at a truck stop; they named her Ginger.  Since Charlie is out on the road most of the time, his mom usually takes care of the family's dogs, and it's getting a little too much for her, so Cassidy asked Dana if they could "adopt" Ginger and bring her home to be Eden's playmate.  On weekends that Cass goes to her Daddy's, Ginger will go too!

We'll let you know how it all works out!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

CAS250 and JAI389 Krafty Noel

Happy Monday, peeps!  What a great weekend!  It snowed a lovely snow, I got my Christmas tree up (not decorated though), I made cookies, Army won the Army-Navy game by one point (although I felt sad for the Navy kicker who missed), so my West Point nephew and his mom, my sister, were happy......and the Eagles won as well!  I am not a football fan really, but I like it when the teams that my family likes win!  I even squeaked in a tiny bit of crafting time for two challenges:  Just Add Ink and CAS(E) this Sketch:

I started with a thick white cardstock base, some kraft cardstock from last year's catalog, and Tranquil Tide cardstock for my greenery!  So here we go:

I diecut my kraft cardstock with a Lil'Inker stitched rectangle die, and although it's hard to see, I stamped a vintage Christmasy background on it with Crumb Cake ink, then added my greenery, diecut with a Tim Holtz die.  I sponged the Tranquil Tide greenery with white craft ink, then added some chunky cut glitter for "snow":

A Pretty Pink Posh diecut tag was stamped with a sentiment from Joyful Noel by Concord & 9th, then tied up with some Very Vanilla thick baker's twine.  I popped up the kraft piece with dimensionals to make up for the thickness of the twine.  I love this look!

And speaking of pines, the family went out and cut their tree yesterday:

Cassidy found just the right tree (check out the boots) with Mommy and Ganae:

And helped Wayne carry it back to the car:

Eden approved!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

GDP065 and MCC10 Cabin in the Woods

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Halfway through the week!  I was excited to see the color challenge at Global Design Project:

Of course, when I made my card, I used CHERRY COBBLER instead of Real Red....sigh.  I think I have Christmas overload brain!  But I like my card anyway, so I am entering it and that will be that!

I have SO many Christmas stamps, sometimes I actually forget which ones I have!  This is one of them.....it's sort of a seasonal stamp that could be used for Christmas; it's from Inkadinkado, and I stamped it on Crumb Cake in Early Espresso and added some white watercolor pencil as well as white Craft ink in the snowy areas:

The background was stamped with a Stampendous Christmas background stamp in Tip Top Taupe, and I also stamped some pinecone images from an Artistic Outpost stamp set in Crumb Cake, then sponged the edges of everything!  I added some glitter to the snowy areas too:

For my glittery sprig, I diecut some Early Espresso cardstock with a Tim Holtz Greenery die, coated it with Versamark and Heat and Stick powder, heated it up,  then coated it with some Martha Stewart glitter:

Finally, I stamped a sentiment from Sweet & Sassy (Holiday Greetings) in the bottom corner!

I am also entering this in the Merry Christmas Challenge, which is to make a snowy scene!  Thanks for popping in today!

Dana has been doing some part-time waitressing, and one of her customers gave her some money for Cassidy to spend, so she did some shopping at a craft show last weekend.  Of course, a cookie was high on the list, and it is a cute cookie, as far as cookies go:

Having no front teeth does not stop her from eating around it until she got to the most important part:

Yum!

Enjoy your day & be blessed!

WAW209 and IM224

DSCF2799

Happy Thursday, peeps!  The weekend is almost here!  I am sharing a card today that I made as a “thank you” to a customer who ordered several Christmas cards.  I used a digital verse from Word Art Wednesday and the sketch that I LOVE from Inkspire Me; here it is:

And here’s my card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Word Art Wednesday

I printed the verse on a sheet of parchment paper, diecut it and mounted it on a scallop panel of Lost Lagoon:

I thought it was a good verse for the Thanksgiving season!  The papers are all from a 6x6” Simple Stories stack called Harvest Lane; I added some crochet trim and stitched leaves from Lawn Fawn for my embellishments.  Paper Pumpkin provided the sentiment on the inside:

And here is the card she ordered; I printed out some sheet music from Old Design Shop, then stamped the Nativity scene in Stazon ink on top.  I added a gold glimmer star, a stitched mat in Bravo Burgundy and some gold trim.  I love how this turned out!

Thanks for visiting today!

Making oatmeal cookies with Grammy!  Cooking and baking seem to be real highlights for her…of course, she likes to lick the bowl afterwards!  (Some day I’ll figure out a new place in my tiny kitchen to hide my trash and recycle…it seems to be in every photo!)
