re publica conscripsit idemque separatim de legibus
eius, item mihi credo esse faciundum, ut priusquam
ipsam legem recitem, de eius legis laude dicam. Quod
idem et Zaleucum et Charondam fecisse uideo, quom
quidem illi non studii et delectationis sed rei publicae
causa leges ciuitatibus suis scripserint. Quos imitatus,
Plato uidelicet hoc quoque legis putauit esse, persuadere aliquid, non omnia ui ac minis cogere.
