Some cheer for Anthony

Some of you may have seen previous posts for the SplitCoastStampers Tuesday TeaPot party. Our cards may be sent to a recipient in need of cheer.  I have not been a regular participant of late, but this week I wanted to be sure to join in.  The cards go to Anthony, a 16 yer old undergoing his second heart surgery.  Side effects have caused him to lose his voice and have difficulty swallowing.  I have "known" his mother for some time through SCS. We sent cards a couple of years ago, and she said he has kept them in a memory box - I think all cardmakers are happy to know that their cards really do make an impact.   One of Anthony's interests is basketball.  I am pleased to have a chance to use some of the materials left from when our granddaughter played HS basketball! The basket is a Brad Buddy from Hot off the Press.  The sentiment is from QKR Stampede, and that backing strip is duct tape.
Here is a link to the TeaPot party.  You are more than welcome to join us!

HB, Dale

I used this clipart image a while ago, and realized it would be perfect for our friend.  He and I have birthdays within a few days of each other, and we just celebrated a few days ago.  They are snowbirds and headed for their summer place in Colorado. So he already has the card, and he enjoyed it even more than I  expected!  Unless you are Nebraska fans, you probably do not realize that Herbie Husker is a mascot of the football Cornhuskers.  With a nickname like that, and the ear of corn you can see, this must meet the farm theme of the Creative Corner challenge!

Soccer mania

This stamp by YNS is called Corey.  After such excitement over soccer, this should be a good time to use it!  The DP is by Basic Grey, and the sentiment by Paper Smooches.  I colored with chalk pencils.

HB, Adrienne

This will be my last post for a while - lots of fun things going on!
Our granddaughter loves basketball - I have a bit of cs featuring her school, and some other items - including Hot Off the Press brad buddies - but cannot find my basketball images, so I had to use clip art!

Another boy's card

Another of  my cards for a boy (I added a couple of others to my SCS gallery, not here).  It is also another of my seemingly endless supply from my stash, and unmarked, as is too often the case.  I colored with prismas and metallic gel pens.  The image is stamped on unknown textured cs, which resulted in a pattern on the shirt and shorts, as well as the balls - a result I like.  The DP is ChatterBox, the button from my button box, and bakers twine from Paper Pizzazz.  The ribbon is from a number of rolls I got at a yard sale at a great price.
This is a back to school challenge - I think this guy is either getting in some last minute vacation sports, or getting all set for an active recess!  http://paperprettiesblog.blogspot.com/

razorback fan

One of the advantages of creating cards is to be able to do special, personalized cards.  This is for the son-in-law of friends.  I found the logo in clip art,    The lettering is Olivia (CB) and bg - Distressed Stripes.  The sentiment is 7Gypsies Library stamp.

This challenge has to do with the Olympics/sports, so I hope being a #1 fan will qualify.  I have just a hint of the Olympic colors and circles LOL!   http://craftycatzweeklychallenge.blogspot.com/
I used the third column of the TicTacToe - ribbon, distressing, and a button:  http://www.dutchdare-cardchallenges.blogspot.com/
