DT Card for the Crafter's Cafe challenge #203 - use 3 of something

The current challenge at the Crafter's Cafe is to use 3 of something.  I have the 3 circles, of course, but if you look carefully I have 3 punched bones in the corners.  This image is calIed Happy dog - and I   think this doggie is happy about that!  The image comes from one of our sponsors, the QKR Stampede.  Check out the Crafter.s Cafe blog for details.  There are some fun prizes to be won.;
Circles - dies by Spellbinder;  Image - Happy Dog by QKR Stampede;  BG- Cuttlebug Happy Birthday folder, with splattered Walnut ink from my old stash.  I think this birthday folder is the first embossing folder in my stash!

HB, Hanna

Our granddaughter-in-law loves her little dog.  This is not the right breed, but was so cute I had to select it for her card.  The image and sentiment are from Beccy's Place.  I used papers from my stash, and added some shiny gems.

Stitched doggie

I don't sew, but I added some faux stitching to this image (sorry - I did not record the source).  I used the stitches to highlight the patchwork.  If you-  are looking at the sketch - I do have a panel under the oval image.  I used a piece that I have been saving for a long time.  It is beige, and looks a little like the mesh bags used for produce - maybe you can see the little knots.  These items add interest and texture without hiding the DP pattern - and do not make it look too busy.  The strip is Washi tape - as usual, I mounted it on cs - burgundy, this time.  The image is precolored - the blue is inspired by the Classy Cards inspiration.  I fussy cut the ears before using the oval die, and added a stack of punched bones.

An Elegant Dog

This dog, from the Rubber Cafe, looks like he (she?) is posing for a formal portrait!  I scored lines at the top of the card to form a border to balance with the die cut border and Cheery Lynn flowers at the bottom.

For Sue

This week the SplitCoastStampers Teapot Tuesday challenge card goes to Sue.   She is facing a long recovery.  Many of us are making cards featuring dogs, and I decided to add some hearts with Valentine's day fast approaching.  I just realized these challenges have been happening every Tuesday for 7 1/2 years - and I have been hanging around since the beginning, though I have been MIA too often in recent months.

Harry again

It is handy to print more than one copy of digis at a time - since I am mailing the previous card right away, I thought I would use this image (Pink Gem) one more time.  The bg dp is from an animal print collection - this section is just not animal related!  The buttons made a good scan impossible - sorry.

Harry is a bit blue

This will go to a recipient of the SplitCoastStampers TeaPot party this week - a member's co-worker is facing serious health issues and is in need of cheer.  She likes dogs, to this Pink Gem cutie should bring a smile - and I picked up a sheet of jokes while waiting at the doctor's office - I will add some of them to the inside.  If you are interested, any one is welcome to the TeaPot party - there is a weekly recipient - sending cards is optional but always a good thing to do!
The panels are from a KanBan kit; the dark grey textured layer is the cover of an annual report sent to DH; the mat behind Harry is textured handmade paper from Costco; I used a double strip of Washi tape for the horizontal panel.

HB, Ethan

Our grandsons are in their mid 20's, and to me, this is a difficult time period for card making!  However, I am always on target with a dog for Ethan!  He will soon be heading to central Washington to fight forest fires again this summer - Grandma's prayer is for an uneventful season!
Supplies:  image, ribbon, bg DP from my stash; doggie DP from a pad I got at Big Lots; tiny bone punch - $1 bin.

Harry the Dog

I keep trying to replenish my stash!  I will probably add a sentiment later when I know the recipient.  This is Harry the Dog, a Whippersnapper image, colored with Prismas.  The DP is from a pack I found at Big Lots - GCD Studio.  (The words say ruff, ruff, and love my dog.)  I added some of my bone punches - that good supply must be why he is wagging his tail so hard!

Masculine Birthday

I need to add some masculine cards to my stash.  This image by Rubber Cafe is one I like a lot.  The sentiment is the library stamp from 7Gypsies.  Dp is Paper Pizazz, and the twine from PizzazzAplenty.  I used a button die - I struggle to find "embellishments" for the guys!\

Two November birthdays

I have had little time for card making this week, but DGD is having a birthday soon. One reason I selected this stamp is to make her card - she is a sophomore and expects to play HS varsity later this year. Green and gold are the school colors, but I am not sure about the uniform!
The stamp is Your Next Stamp, with a Studio G sentiment. The basketball dp is by Paper House, and the words are on dp by Karen Foster. Coloring with Prismas and Spica pens.

I remembered just in time!  I added a "16" - big day!

This image was a gift from a friend at WishRAK, and is perfect for our grandson - he loves to hunt and fish, and this looks like his dog! I used the Sizzix fall leaf EF - a reminder of the aspens in CO. The sentiment is computer generated, and I bought a bag of plastic bone/buttons at a yard sale.

Masculine with an eyelet

This image by Rubber Cafe works well for masculine cards.  The DP is from my never ending pack of double sided cs from Costco.  Added:  eyelet, twine, button.

Sending a smile

This should send a smile!
That is the theme of the challenge here: http://clearitoutchallenge.blogspot.com/
In addition, I used some common household twine (unusual crafting item) and a bit of a gold gift bag - it did not exactly clear out my stash - actually, hardly made a dent!  But these items have been around a while.
Here is a challenge to use an animal:  http://chocolatecoffeecards.blogspot.com/
A challenge to create a card for someone special- our grandson:  http://delightfulsketches.blogspot.com/
The sketch is here: http://pixieduststudiopixiechallenge.blogspot.com/
The image is a digital from DeeDee - her shop has since closed.  I used brown and beige cs from a new packet - it is Coredinations, which I found at Joanne's - had not noticed it before.  The "dog" dp is from an animal print pack from BigLots. I used a diamond EF, Nesties, and some square brads.

Metal and twine in a blue,, brown and cream sketch

I am still replenishing my stash of Thinking of You cards, and fit in several challenges in the process.

The first requires metal - the brads have been in my goodie drawer for a long time: http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.com/

I used some twine for: http://craftyribbonschallenge.blogspot.com/

The DP has blue, brown, and cream - though I managed to just about cover all of the cream - I hope you can see it inside the brown swirls! -http://www.cinspirations.blogspot.com/

The dog and sentiment are for: http://paperplaytime.blogspot.com/
This is the sketch:http://ribboncarouselchallenge.blogspot.com/

The image is by the Rubber Cafe, and sentiment Whiff of Joy. Ink is SU chocolate chip., and I used DP and CS from my stash. Twine is from Pizzazz Aplenty, and I used brads from my misc. collection! Paw Print ribbon is Ribbon Boutique.
