SCS Falliday Fest - Kelli Jo's snowman

I am quite sure this is the last card I need to do all 30 cards in the SplitcoastStampers Falliday Fest.  Our challenge is to build our own snowman.  This is way out of the box for me!  I used the snowflake embossing folder.  To follow the sketch, I added some curling ribbon - maybe you can imagine icicles or melting snow!  I used circle dies to cut the snowman and his hat.  Gems, washi tape, and an orange carrot nose complete the look.

SCS Falliday Fest - trying Bokeh

This challenge, part of the 2 week long Falliday Fest at SplitCoastStampers, is to use the Bokeh technique - with a twist.  The twist is to use the white highlights only outside the chosen shape.  I colored the entire piece with watered down blue reinker.  I then masked stars, sponging white ink around them for a shimmery light effect.  This photo looks like I could have been a bit heavier with the white, but IRL I like the look.  The image is QKR stampede, and the sentiment is 7Gypsies.

SCS Falliday Fest - a glittery winter scene for Yvette

SCS Faliday Fest - Texture by LMCaree

The Falliday Fest at SplitCoastStampers continues - any one can enter, and there will be prizes.  Deadline is Oct. 30- Falliday-fest-Challenge-.  Lori wants us to show some texture!  The bg is distressed stripes embossing.  I used a piece of Decorative Mesh behind the image.  (I mentioned earlier - that mesh jumped into my card at Dollar Tree!)  It ravels easily, but I hope it will stay intact as it is fastened behind the image.  Punched stars (glitter cs) and metallic ribbon complete the card.  The image is QKR Stampede, colored with water color pencils.  Yes, you have seen this image a lot - I try to use the same image on most of my Christmas cards.

SCS Falliday Fest - Dini's Masking - Christmas

For the background:  I punched stars and used them as a mask.  Next I simply pressed (fairly lightly) the ink pad on to the white cs.  Voila!   A starry background!
I was at the Dollar tree store yesterday, and this roll of Decorative Mesh, another sparkly metallic ribbon, as well as a roll of burlap-like duct tape -just jumped into my card.  The mesh will be a little harder to use than I anticipated as it ravels very easily and will take a bit of effort to attach, but I think I will be able to make good use of it for a special added touch.  The image, which I watercolored, and sentiment are from QKR Stampede.

Recycled Christmas card

Today we want to remember all the victims of 9-ll and pray for all of the families affected by acts of terror that have happened throughout the world.

Over the years I have saved many Christmas cards with plans to recycle them - thanks for the challenge to encourage me to do at least one!  The blue DP is Paper Pizazz, and the yellow is Paper Studio.  The edges are distressed.  Star brads complete the layout.
