Spring showers and flowers

We are in Arizona and could really use some showers!  I know it is much worse in other parts of the country - I hope there is some relief soon.  Our weather map showed the possibility of showers - but they often do not materialize.
Okay - on to this card.  I really like the window box die and flowers (Cheery Lynn), but I struggle to know what to put behind the window!   This is an image by Beccy - I had to remodel the window (removed a bar at the top) to not obstruct her face LOL!  I found this DP in a much used pad by Prima.  I changed the sketch a bit so the design in the corner would not be covered completely.  There are gems on some of the flowers, and also black gems in the corners.  The Mom sticker is by Hot off the Press.  I used chalk pencils to color the image.  I hope you can see she is holding and umbrella (ok, could be a parasol!) to ward off the showers.

Celebrating Mom

This Tilda With Heart is holding a heart to greet her mom!  She is colored with Prismas, and metallic pens for her leggings.   The mats, button die cut, and letters are from eggplant cs.  The swirly ef is Cuttlebug, and the pink dot cs is DCWV - part of a great prize I just received through Hiding in my Craft Room (You will see a lot of this in future posts.)

For Mother in pastel

(I keep hoping some techie will visit this site and help me with the uploading problems - my image looks fine in my computer file, and when I upload here it gets all blotchy - especially the edges, and white spaces.)
The verse is from Our Daily Bread Happy Birthday set.  I added some die cut letters, Cheery Lynn branches, flowers from a SandyLion sticker set.  I sponged the Swiss Dot piece -IRL it is lighter toward the center - a result I like with this sponging.

spring birds

This card is for a friend to give her mother.  I used a digi image I had printed some time ago - there is embossing, DCWV DP, some small die cuts, ribbon, and coloring with markers.

Tailored and Elegant for Mother

My mother has been gone for several years, but I should find a mother to send this to.  This is a favorite image, by Endless Creations.  I used odds and ends of cs.  I embossed the CB Victoria folder.  It is very hard to see, but the black strip has embossed faux stitching, done with a CB border folder.  The scrollwork at the bottom is cut with a CB border die.  I am terrible at piercing, even with a metal template but I gave it a go!  ALso hard to see - I added glitter to the flowers for more sparkly elegance.  Also, the scroll work and the mat for the image are shimmery black cs.

Mother's Day - for a kitty afficianado

Whew!  I have really been running behind this week, but I think I made it to complete some of my favorite challenges.
I used a Penny Black image from Purrfect Day, and a JustRite Happy Everything greeting.  I used pastel chalk crayons, and tried smoothing the color with brush coloring tools.  If any of you have a better solution, I would be glad to hear it.  The DP is from a Big Lots pack, and the shiny ribbon is Texture Bobbin brand.  I added glitter and Recollections rhinestones for more bling.
