Christmas 2018

I am determined to upcycle several of the Christmas cards I have been saving.  Unfortunately, I am also addicted to sketch challenges, and many of the sketches do not work well with the shapes of cards I have.  So when there is one that works, I want to jump at the chance!  This is a sort of spotlight technique - after I cut the oval I decided that I could use the rest of the image for a background - bonus!!!  The card base is actually a double sided piece of cs  The stars are punched, and I added gold cord.

Another for Jan

This is part of a small collection I am making to give to my friend.  I used another favorite combination - teal with a bit of white.  The larger panel is Recollections, and the dots from DCWV.  The verse is from Verve, and the die cut a border die from Couture.  The circles are from Spellbinders.

Sunny card for SCS TeaPot Party for Angela

A few weeks ago Angela, known as ohmypaper on SplitCoastStampers, was in a serios car accident, and is recovering.  We were challenged to bring some sunshine into her life.  I have heard that she is doing better, but still working on getting back to her "old self".
Images - digis from Verve; pices of gold flower stems, gold ribbon, Prismas.

Starting on Christmas 2018

This meets a couple of my coals for this year - make more cards, and remember to upcycle.  This is paet of one of the lovely cards I have received -and that I am reluctant to toss!  I just added an embossed background (Swiss dots) and banner with a computer sentiment.  My interpretation of new beginnings - this is a new beginning for this image from another card - and I will use the verse on the inside.

Recycled Christmas card 9-16-17

I added the snowflake embossing folder - maybe they look like stars?  The sheer gold ribbon and gold metallic cs add an elegant touch.  The background of the recycled image is a muted gold, though it looks black on my screen!  The images are white.

SCS Dare to Get Dirty - Margs'

It does not show well on the screen but the dark raspberry shiny cs is embossed with my Embossalicious birthday folder.  The die cut has no name - it was a freebie with a magazine and I have forgotten which.  The 80 is for my Sister - in -laws birthday.

Psalm 91 ~ Guest Designer card for Imagine that DigiStamp

Psalm 91

This is my second card as a guest designer for Imagine That DigiStamp.  I chose the pre-colored version of the bird on a branch, and used the sympathy sentiment.  These papers were bits from my stash repeated the colors of the image.  I added some die cut leaves and butterflies cut from a bit of cs, and a bit of glittery ink to the branch.  This set has thoughtful verses, and you may choose either the pre-colored or black and white version to print yourself.  You may also print a version that has both the bird and the verse from Psalm 91 in the same panel.
I rounded the corner of the sentiment tag to make it blend better with the image.  I added punched butterflies to fill in what I thought was a bit too much white space!
