This ODB challenge gave me a chance to take advantage of one of the cards I have in my favorite file at Splitcoaststampers - and it is a card by a friend of mine at Wish RAK:

Supplies: some ribbon I have had a LONG time; a Studio G stamp with Verve sentiment; punches, a die cut butterfly, and gems. (The punches are under the gems.)

Thinking of you
The mat is a deep burgundy, and the layers are more pink than purple. The card base and flower centers/pearls are white. I used sticker hearts I got a long time ago - they are SandyLion designs. The swirl is from a Spellbinder die, Both pink payers are embossed, and I added a bit of creamy caramel ink to the script - to add to a shabby chic look. My style? Not sure I have one, but I do like layering, mats, dry embossing and die cuts. The sentiment is part of a clear stamp set - but it is separated from the label, and I do not recall the source. The set includes flower flourishes, 4 sentiments and a narrow strip. Any clues?

Love is...
I saw this sketch at Mojo Monday and knew what I wanted to do, but I am not sure the result is all that I had hoped. I did incorporate a lot of "my" usual style - layering, embossing, die cuts. The birds are from Cheery Lynn (Tiny Things with Wings) and the flourish (which I cut in sections) from Joanna Sheen. They are cut from shimmery cs. The bg is vellum , and the Love panel from Paper Studio. The verse is computer generated.

Lacy Butterfly
I was inspired by the softness, the scallops, and the tiny pink flowers at the ODB inspiration challenge. I used a bit of DP from a mega grab bag, and "divided" it with a border using a Martha Stewart border punch. The sentiment is from ODB's Happy Birthday set and the butterfly is Cheery Lynn. I backed the We R Memory Keepers washi tape with light color cs - the tape is from a large set I got from Costco a while ago. It will last me forever, but it was a good deal and gives me a better selection. I should have added some bling to the butterfly - I can still do that. I will use this for my Visitation team ministry at church. If you have ideas of a simple way to keep track of what card (including inside verse) is sent to whom, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Sparkly Winter White
I used glitter on the pine branches and butterfly - for a sparkly, snowy look. Since we are in AZ, that is about as much snow as I care for!!! The branches are a Cheery Lynn die. The bg is cuttlebug's "You", I have lost track of the source for the butterfly and circle. The sentiment came from a friend.

Thank you
I need several thank you cards - they will be sent to couples who hosted us while we traveled in South Africa. This gives me a chance to use some DP from a Debbie Mumm stack,n and a digi from TLC. I added a bit of burlap and brown cs as a mat.

Black, white and a touch of gold
I enjoy making many kinds of cards - I do not seem to have found "my" style yet! However, one style I do especially like is black and white. I added a bit of gold - ribbon, pearls, and highlights on the image. The image is a wonderful freebie from Beccy's Place. The sentiment is Verve. Ribbon, butterflies and pearls are added.

Lazy Summer
Here is another cute (free) digi from sliekjestamps. I used: CB HB folder, some misc plaid DP, paper tape, sheer ribbon, Prismas, a shell charm, distressed edges. I made tiny whimsical plaid clouds from a Cheery Lynn die that I purchased not long ago from Joan's Gardens.

for their 50th
I am not sure I am happy with this result - I may have to tweak it a bit. I used part of a doily for the half circle, The small circle is DP, with a sentiment stamped on a strip of the dark pink. The border punch is Martha Stewart. I used the pink, lacy look for inspiration as well as 3 clear pearls at the top.

Chocolate Lover
Supplies used:
CS, DP - Kraft, DP - two from a pad from Big Lots; Digi - Mildred (Bugaboo), colored with Prismas; Martha Stewart trellis punch, Petaloo flower with crystal; Dandelion sentiment; chocolate half pearls (Pizzazz Aplent). Inside, it says: Never eat more chocolate than you can lift; I"m not overweight...I'm chocolate enriched (Bugaboo).
Neglected - This Bugaboo image has been in my computer file for a long time, and I have seldom used this kraft cs. All of the other items have been in my stash for a while, but not really neglected!

Blue and green sympathy
I I have not used this stamp recently - for a long time it was my go-to stamp for sympathy and Easter cards. IIt is Cross & Blossoms by Paper Inspirations. Here, I stamped it on subtly patterned paper. I added bits of satin edged ribbon and clear crystals. The stamp, dp (blue and green) and ribbon have been around a long time!

Deuteronomy 33:27
I used this digital image, Labels 1 (Nesties), Victoria embossing folder, Petaloo flowers, Bazzill jewels, and some old ribbon from my stash. I used a chalk pencil to create an edge - if you have suggestions on how to make it look better, I would really like to hear them. Also, I would like to give credit for this digital image - my computer does not always seem to allow me to include the name in the download, and I failed to go back to give credit. Please let me know if you recognize it.

Simple sympathy
I like to have sympathy cards in my stash. Often, friends come to see if I have any available. This sentiment is from the Verve Blessings set - I was so fortunate to have my number drawn in a recent Mojo Monday challenge. Winning justifies my addiction to challenges it seems! I used a scrap of the embossed piece (Swirls) left from my last card, and added a ribbon. The bg is Costco double sided cs.
I just ordered a Tonic guillotine cutter. I have resisted getting that style due to space limitations in the motor home. However, I have tried several other cutters and have been quite frustrated with the short blade life and chopped edges. There were several positive comments on SCS regarding this trimmer, and the reviews on Amazon were pretty positive. It arrived today and so far I am pleased. Well, that is enough commercial!

Blue and Silver
After a summer of relaxing, fishing (for DH), and extreme frustration with internet connections, we are back home - and we will be connected!!! I have missed a lot of challenges, great inspiration, and discussions, so I have catching up to do.
This is a Digi Darla image (it was a freebie several months ago) colored with chalk pencils and Twinkling H2O's, and a sentiment by Recollections. I used the Stylized flower EF (by Cuttlebug). The silver sticker strips are by Anita - the one at the left is actually the strip located between the regular decorative strips, that I dislike wasting. The mat is from a large dollar store silver gift bag - and a bit more silver is the watering can.
