Second HB today

The image is ODB Birthday.  For inspiration I used the card created by Linda, one of the ODB designers who is leaving after this challenge.  All of the DT at ODB are so very talented.  Thank you  And thanks to the design team members at all challenges - every one of you is very talented - and how wonderful of you to share this talent and your time with all of us.  I used some new cs - from a Teresa Collins pad.  I colored with Twinking H20 and Brilliance inks to give some shimmer.

Christmas in Gold and White

This card is layered on a white base.  The gold comes from a large gift bag - I often buy the metallic ones at the Dollar Tree - there is a lot of paper to use!  This one is actually a little too "intense" for my taste - I embossed with the Cuttlebug textile folder, and that tones it down a bit.  I layered some sheer ribbon on the strip.  There are snowflakes at the top and distressed stripes on the bottom, with a computer generated sentiment.  Tip - I created a full page of sentiments with slight variation in wording and shape - so I have a ready choice.  The image is by Stampendous.

HB Adrienne

http://incywincydesigns.blogspot.com/
It is becoming more and more difficult for me to come up with ideas for cards for grandkids - not sure how many years I have been making them but it is at least 10.  This is for our youngest and I especially like to do one for her as she really notices!  She is a HS Senior and this is probably her last season - she will most likely be a starter.  She could probably play in a small college but has her goals set higher!  I used this digi from QKR because she also enjoys visiting us in AZ - and she has a sense of humor!  Most of the DP is from Paper Studio.  Coloring is with Prismas, and green glitter highlights the cactus.  I used a strip of Washi tape and a button to complete the card.

Kitty and mice

Every summer I meet a customer who routinely purchases a dozen or so "cat cards" to give to her friend the cat lover.  I appreciate the sales, but it does keep me on my toes to locate a variety of images!  I recently found new ones at Dearie Dolls - this is a colored image - and they are freebies.  Hooray for the variety, and thank you, Dearie Dolls!  I added glitter to the flowers on the chair, and cut the kitty's head, to make a smaller panel.  The circle and strip are both DP, and the bg is Cuttlebug's You - I inked just a few of the words before embossing - a kind of spotlighting technique, I guess.   The ink does not seem to show well on the screen - "kind", "loving" and "stupendous" are the ones with a bit of dark pink ink.  The flowers are Petaloo, with gems added, and the ribbon is a sparkly pink.

Vintage Birthday

This is my interpretation of the Tim Holz style.  I used pattern paper (Costco) which I sponged with chalk  to give a more vintage look.  I also sponged the edge of the circle (A Day for Daisies image),  The circles are by Spellbinders, and the leaves and sentiment Sizzix.  The pastel flowers are done with metallic markers.

Sarah's Wedding

We have a wedding in the family in a few days.  Traditionally, I try to incorporate aspects of the invitation as I make the card.  This was more challenging, as Sarah is a bit untraditional!  The lace, brown ribbon, initials, and textured look of the bg as well as the colors are similar to the invitation.  I am not sure how it looks on your screen - mine does not really show the dark cream look of the bk.  I used the LifeStyle weaving EF for that.  Ironically, the G is for both last names!  The sentiment is Great Impressions.    The image came from a Wish RAK member so I do not know the source.  I selected it because she was such an accomplished horsewoman in her teens.  The card is 5x7.
