NOTE: The black bg is not a part of the card- it is for contrast only. The actual card is the white arch shape.
I have been mentally thinking of this card ever since I got these arches dies (Spellbinders). I do need to practice some more! I folded the cs, then carefully positioned the die so the left fold would not be cut - the cut starts at the beginning of the arch on the left. I embossed with the sizzix brick folder, to give the idea of a stone wall of a church. I also used the same folder to emboss the smallest arch, to form the basis for the stained glass. I colored with Sharpies. First I simply colored a yellow cross - deliberately creating a bit of an uneven shape. I randomly colored the shapes from the embossing folder, leaving a touch of space for the black pen. (I had thought about paper piecing but decided that was too labor intensiv for me!) I would appreciate comments and suggestions.) I think this is kind of "bottom heavy" but could not figure out what would work right to add to the top! The dies (blessings and branches) are Cheery Lynn. This is to use for an Easter card.

Using gears
The Darice Steam Punk embossing ( a new item for me) has been inked with Walnut stain, using a make up sponge. The die cut circles are a recycled piece - the corrugated heavy paper was between two glass custard cups I got at Dollar Tree. I saved them as I knew I would find a way to use them. I also sponged the edges. Other supplies: Cuttlebug Thank You from Olivia alpha die set; plastic clips; recycled bit of ribbon - not sure where it came from! The over all look is Tim Holtz inspired. I wanted to have a masculine card - it is a bit dark, and I used the black just for contrast on the photo.

High Hopes Guest design
This is the card I created as the guest designer for High Hopes. This stamp is called Snoozin' Sam - a perfect image for a number of friends LOL! I used Prismas and gel pens to color. The backing is from the adventure pad by My Mind's Eye. I finished with a bit of Washi tape and twine.

Citrus colors
Time for a change from all the reds and pinks! This is a piece of DP (DaisyD's) that I have had for quite a while, I used lime cs, ribbon and Washi tape, and pale lemon for stamping. The image is from the fairly old SU set Garden Collage (a favorite of mine). I made kind of a wash with water color pencils and an aqua pen to highlight the flower and butterfly.

Pink butterflies
NOTE: the black bg is not a part of the card, but to provide contrast for the photo.
New: I found a larger birthday embossing folder - and here I just used a bit of it! (Embossalicious, through Crafter's Companion, purchased at JoAnn's. I am including this information because I have wanted a folder I could use for landscape and portrait style - would also work for up to 6x6 squares). Also new - butterfly folder by Darice.
Other: ODB image from Faith set; chalk pencils, Spellbinder Majestic Elements oval dies, half pearls, ribbon.
