No stamping for MMTPT232

I have missed a lot of SplitCoastStampers Teapot Tuesday challenges, but certainly wanted to join last week.  Anita has been supplying cards for her chemo group to use - but Anita herself is not always feeling up to making more cards.  The Teapotters are helping her out by sending an extra card or two - mostly thank you and birthday cards.  I made this one, and will enclose a few others from my RAK stash.  If you would like to know more, here is the link.
I used this pretty floral image from a "store bought" card I received.  Supplies:  washi tape, Spellbinder Labels die, Cuttlebug sentiment from Olivia set - probably the first CB set I ever bought!

For Barb

This goes to a friend who is facing a long recovery from a broken hip.  If you have seen recent posts you know I have had too many cards like this to send!  You will also notice I get in a routine using similar items - often they are still on my desk and just handy to grab!  The stencil is one of a set I purchased years ago at a local store (long since gone).  The owner cut larger sheets of a type of very thin plastic into 3x6 pieces.  There are small circles, larger circles, tiny stars, hexagons and a couple of others.  I tend to forget about them, but they are handy to use.  IRL the color of the chalk is a better match than it appears on the screen.  I added sequins, Washi tape, and the Cheery Lynn Blessings die cut.  The TLC pre colored image has been in my folder for a while.

Guest DT for DS4J "Dropping in"

It is my honor to be the guest designer for the mid-month inspiration post at Digi Stamps 4 Joy.  The challenge is Anything Goes - with the option of bright colors.  I selected this image - "dropping in" - so I could use bright colors for the parachute. The details are here.  I wanted to make a card for our granddaughter.  She is a member of Wings of Blue at the US Air Force Academy.  At last count she had some 450 jumps.  Of course, her parachute is much more subdued!
The bright stars DP is Recollections.  I chose the darker bg paper to look like a night sky - but the details do not show up on the photo!  It is embossed with my new cloud embossing folder.  Dotted ribbon, red gems, and the die cut greeting (Cuttlebug) complete the look.

Speedy Recovery, Dennis

This is for Dennis, a deacon at our church, who is recovering from surgery.
Image - pre-colored Dearie Doll; misc. DP from my stash, sequins; clip art school bell.
(There is an inside joke for the bell.  My hubby has had very limited mobility for a year and a half due to severe back pain.  He sometimes needs some assistance, and I may have trouble hearing him.  He can use one of my school bells to call me.  Dennis gives us a great deal of grief about this!!!  So we offered to lend one to him.)
ETA:  Dennis has had a setback and returned to the hospital.  Please say a prayer for his recovery, if you are so inclined.

Polka Dots and Red

I subbed the Labels4 die for a heart, and double cut both the Thanks and the top mat - I like that way of separating colors for contrast.   Once again I used my favorite tool, the die cutting machine, for both embossing and cutting. The black, white and red is another of my favorite combos.
Cuttlebug Thanks; Spellbinder Labels; debossed WeR Memory Keepers folder; red, white, polka dot cs and misc. ribbon.

Remembering Gary's father

Unfortunately, I needed a quick sympathy card to get in the mail today.
This is one of my favorite ODB images!  I colored with chalk pencils to achieve a soft look.  The embossing folder is by Darice.  A bit of chalk sponged on the sentiment adds highlights to the texture. The cs I used is Recollections shimmery silver - I really like the result when it is embossed, and it is great for stamping images such as this one.

Pastel birthday

Whew!  I actually did a Mojo Monday challenge on Monday - and early, at that!
Supplies:  Tattered Lace floral panel die;  stamp by All Night Media; gel pens; Embossalicious HB folder (6x6); washi tape; Petaloo flower, gem, CheeryLynn branch die.  Note:  I originally placed the floral panel directly on the HB panel, but it made it look too busy, so I backed it with a plain pink panel.  I also backed the washi tape with white cs.

Shimmer and butterflies

The HB background (Cuttlebug) is on silver shimmer cs - it looks more like metallic here than it really is.  This stamp by ODB is one I use a lot - I do  not really have just one "go to" stamp.  I tried using a variety of colors for the butterflies - I now realize I prefer a subtler result!  What do you think?  I used a Darice butterfly embossing folder for the smaller panel, and a Cuttlebug border die.  The flower is Petaloo, and the leaves are from a Sizzix die.  The mat is a medium purple.

Young at heart

We are rvers (at this point, summers only) - and we can relate to this!  Once again I am using one of the elements from the Art Impressions Pop ups sets - they have stamps with these images but these are pre-printed, pre colored punch outs - complete with sentiments and accessories.

Recycled Christmas

Each year I plan to use cards received in previous years as a recycling project - probably to give to a nursing home, etc.  And each year I put it off.  I did try one today - maybe I will be inspired to start in January!  The "spotlight".
Recipe:  Nestie with embossed edge sponged in Platinum ink; sheer silver ribbon (used for strips on sketch); snowflake brad with added glitter; computer sentiment.

Cream and Aubergine

I nearly forgot I have quite a few sheets of DP left in a stack called "Faith", by Paper Studio.  The colors will work well with this Aubergine cs - I have a good supply of that as .  The stamp is by Stampendous.  I distressed the edges - the white does not show well here but it provides contrast and dimension.  From my stash:  the dp, the geometric EF, Cheery Lynn pine branch die, and the set of Ribbon Buckle dies by Spellbinder.
