Skittle Manis

Prošlog petka smo za temu imali skittle manikir. Ovo je nešto što volim da radim i imala sam odličnu ideju te sam odmah izvukla svoje China Glaze holo lakove i krenula da ih mažem. Onda sam se setila da sam istu sjajnu ideju imala i pre nekoliko godina te sam izvukla druge lakove i mogu reći da sam ovom drugom verzijom daleko zadovoljnija. Sigurna sam da i sami možete videti zašto.

Last week's thematic mani theme was skittle mani. This is something I like to do and I had a great idea so I took my China Glaze holo polishes out and started painting my nails. Then I remembered I had that same idea years ago so I picked other polishes and I had to say I am far happier with this other version. I am sure you can see why.

Ne znam zašto ovaj članak nisam objavila kada sam već uradila manikire i spremila slike, ali grešku ispravljam sada. Ne bih ja bila ja da ne unapredim krem lak. Uvek sam volela sedefaste i šljokičave lakove, a sa raširenom pojavom duohrom, multihrom, holo i ostalih finiša mislim da sam postala veoma razmažena i krem lakovi mi više nisu dovoljni sami po sebi. Zato ih koristim skoro isključivo kao osnovu za crtanje ili pečatiranje ili moram preko njih staviti neki toper. Pošto mi stoji stotinak neisprobanih lakova, uzela sam jedan od neisprobanih topera u mojoj omiljenoj kombinaciji boja da namažem preko Catrice koji sam namazala u petak.

I wouldn't be me if I hadn't upgraded a creme polish. I have always loved shimmery and glittery polishes, and with duochrome, multichrome, holo and other finishes being more accessible, I think I got very spoiled and creme polishes are no longer enough on their own. That is why I use them almost exclusively in nail art, stamping or as a base for a topper. And since I have about a hundred of untried polishes, I took one of the untried toppers in my favourite colour combo to use over the Catrice I applied on Friday.

Born Pretty Store seems to have truly decided to make good linear holo polishes. The one I am showing you today was love at first stroke. It costs $20, which is too much for 10 ml of polish, but it is currently discounted and you can get it at half the price.

Matching Manicures - Gradient

Po ko zna koji put radimo gradijent u sklopu usklađenih manikira, ali ne bunim se. Ovo je tehnika koju veoma volim i rado koristim i kada nam nije tema, a današnja izvedba mislim da mi je omiljena do sada. Nadam se da će se i vama svideti.

We've had gradient as a theme for Matching Manicures for who knows how many times, but I'm not complaining. This is a technique I am quite fond of and I resort to it gladly. The one I did today has to be my current favourite. I hope you'll like it as well.

Po treći put za temu usklađenog manikira imamo crvenu boju. Iako mi je crvena jedna od najdražih boja i prikladnih lakova mi ne manjka, s obzirom na to da smo već dva puta radile crvene manikire malo je teže smisliti atraktivan manikir kakav nije već prikazan. Nadam se da će vam se svideti.

This is the third time we have colour red as theme for our matching manis. Even though red is one of my favourite colours and I don't lack appropriate polishes, I found it a bit difficult to come up with an attractive mani that we haven't done before considering that we've already done this theme twice before. I hope you'll like my take on it.

Još jedan manikir čija se tema ponavlja je na redu ove nedelje. Inspiraciju tražimo na Pinterestu, a plašim se da sam ja malo preterala i skoro u potpunosti iskopirala manikir koji mi je privukao pažnju.

We have another repeat for a theme this week. We're looking for inspiration on Pinterest, and I am afraid I overdid it and nearly completely copied the mani that had caught my eye.

Već neko vreme sam bila u potrazi za pločicom sa dobrim izborom slika plamena, a ova pločica mi je došla kao naručena. Ne samo što ima plamenove, nego ima i nekoliko feniksa, što znači da sam mogla da na bolji način uradim manikir inspirisan natprirodnim koji smo radili pre nekoliko meseci, a kojim nisam bila zadovoljna.

I've been looking for a stamping plate with good selection of flame images for some time now, and this plate was just what I had in mind. Not only does it have flames, but it also has some phoenix designs, which means that I could remake Inspired by Supernatural Matching Manicure we had done several months ago, that I was not pleased with.

From the moment it first showed up, BP-L049 image plate had caught my eye and I just had to own it. I have already mentioned that I study Turkish language and literature, so a stamping plate with middle eastern designs was a natural choice for me.

Today we're matching our manis to our outfits. I am not in the mood to wear black or red toady (my go to colours), and I am going to GamesCon in a simple combination of purple knitted shirt and blue jeans. That's why my nails are in purple-blue, with textile pattern.
