May 2021 Workout Rotation - What I Did

March 2020 - Monthly Rotation

Image
March 2020  I had fun with last month's rotation of FIRM strength and Amy Bento Cardio.  I was able to get in Essentrics' new workout as well.  I did not end up doing the iFIT walking workouts (decided I needed a day of rest) but I did do the Cardio Coach workouts which I really enjoyed. This month I am doing treadmill workouts and Suzanne Bowen's BarreAmped workouts. I may or may not try to get in Tracie Long's two new ones.

The NordicTrack Commercial X11i Review Part 2 - No True On-Board Workouts - Deceptive Advertising by NordicTrack

Image
The NordicTrack Commercial X11i Review Part 2 - story continues.... So now that I have a working treadmill, I began checking out all the features, making sure everything works and does what was advertised. I actually started this before but since I did not know if the control module controls anything but the belt, I waited to do a full check after we got the belt working. If you go to the NordicTrack website, it will tell you that the treadmill comes with 44 On-Board Workout Programs. The reviews I read said it came with 44 Built-In Programs, but for the life of me, I could not find out where these workouts were at on the treadmill console. I scoured the User Manual. It does not mention at all how to access the built-in programs. I went out to both myfitnesshelp.com (NordicTrack support site) and Ifit.com's support page and did a search on "on-board workouts" and nothing came back telling me how to find them. Surely I am not the only one who has asked this quest...

The NordicTrack Commercial X11i Review Part 1 - My Brand New Treadmill Arrived and It Did Not Work!!!!!!

Image
NordicTrack Commercial X11i This is going to be a three-part review.  While I have had this treadmill for a month now, I have only been able to use it since Saturday and that is because it arrived broken. Yep!!! You heard me right. My $2000 new treadmill arrived and it did not work. I ordered the treadmill on January 1.  The treadmill arrived on January 17.  My husband put the treadmill together January 19 and when we turned it on, the belt did not move. It was very simple for my husband to put together, but before calling Nordictrack, we made sure everything was connected properly and it was.  Called NordicTrack and the first thing you hear when they pick up is how there is a "higher call volume than usual, and wait times will be long" They were not lying. In this process, I have had to call them four times and the least amount of time I waited on the phone was 41 minutes. When you are holding all of this time, they constantly tell you to go out to myfitn...

Introduction to my three part review of the NordicTrack Commercial X11i

Image
This is an introduction to what is going to be a three-part review and/or synopsis of my experience buying and using my new treadmill. This is the fourth treadmill that I have purchased.  Prior to this one, I had a manual treadmill that I got in the late 90s but I forget which brand.  In the early 2000s, I bought a Proform treadmill.  In 2011, I bought another Proform and now I have the NordicTrack X11i. I will post Part 1 and Part 2 today.  And then in about a month, I will post Part 3.   I broke it up into three parts because I wanted to share my experience with the purchase process and it was getting quite long.  Part 3 will come in about a month because I have only used the treadmill twice even though I have had it for about a month and I want to use it more before I delve more into what I like about it and what I don't like as far as actually using the treadmill goes. For all of you who do read my reviews, thanks😊 .  I know ...

Challenge 2 has you cranking up your incline or resistance for two hill climbs.  There is a 30 second rest between hill climbs. This challenge is 7 minutes and 56 seconds. Cardio Coach Volume 8 - Thoughts

Image
Cardio Coach Volume 8 is an MP3 downloaded interval workout that you can use - I guess - with any piece of cardio equipment. I use the Cardio Coach series with my Treadmill. The Coach is Sean O'Malley and he guides you through the workout using resistance and speed challenges. Volume 8 is 67 minutes long but that includes a stretch segment. If you do just the treadmill portion, the workout clocks in just under 59 minutes. To get the best out of the workout, you need a heart rate monitor that can give your heart rate max percentages so that you will know what zone or level you are working out at. The zones are: Blue - 55 - 65% Green - 65 - 75% Orange - 75 - 85% Red - 85 - 95% Sean is telling you what zone you should be in throughout the workout. Volume 8 breaks down as follows : Warm up - 4:37 (Starting at Level 1 and working towards Level 2) Challenge 1 - 6:43 (3 minutes starting at Level 2 working towards Level 3, Level 3 Hill Climb for 2 minutes, followed by a level 4 Hill...

Image
The Pro-Form 600 LT Treadmill is HSN and Pro-Form 2011 model treadmill. Each year HSN brings out a new Pro-Form model to sale. On the HSN website the treadmill is called Pro-Form Step Up Personal Trainer Treadmill. The price of this treadmill is $699.95 and the Shipping & Handling is free. I have had this treadmill since May. Assembly is required. It took me and another about an hour, maybe a little less to put it together. Sunday Morning Run - August 22, 2010

Well there was no run, not outdoors anyway. It was raining. I really need to start paying more attention to the weather because I was not dress to run in the rain. And I didn't realize it was raining until I opened the door to head out. Normally I would have just grabbed my poncho, but it was a muggy warm rain and I didn't want to get stuck carrying the poncho if it got too hot. So I troop down to the basement and got on my treadmill. I tend to walk more than run on my treadmill so it took me 39 minutes to do my 3.1 miles. Not a great outing.

Cardio Coach Volume 1 - Review

Image
Well, I wanted something different for use with my treadmill. I had been using the IFIT programs or the programs that came with my treadmill. Cardio Coach was recommended to me by some of my fitness friends. Cardio Coach was also having a 40% off sell during the holidays so I thought it would be a good time to try it. Cardio Coach Volume 1 is approximate a 36 minute workout. Sean, the coach for Cardio Coach has a very nice voice. He leads you through the workout and tells you when to crank it up and when to take it down a notch. What I like about him though was the fact that he was not constantly talking. For instance, when you were doing a steady state section, he would let you be. I especially like the music. It was good. I was under debate as to which version I would purchase, the original or the instrumental. I can easily see myself going back for the instrumental version of this workout - maybe when another sale is offered. 3 1/2 out of 5 stars
