10 Minute Solution Tighten & Tone Pilates - Thoughts

10 Minute Solutions Tighten & Tone Pilates is lead by Lara Hudson. The five 10 minutes segments are: Tightened & Tone core Defined Arms & Shoulders Trim & Slim Lower Body Total Body Toner Long & Lean Stretch This workout uses a a resistance band.  The resistance band comes with the DVD. I found this workout challenging.  Typically throughout all the segments, Lara has you do two sets.  Often adding variation in the second set to make it a little different. Working with the band is what made the workout challenging.  The most difficult part for me was when Lara had you place the band on the sole of the foot.  - keeping the band on the sole without it rolling up was an issue but usually in this position you were pushing the leg and arm in opposite direction which created a lot of tension. 10 Minute Solution Pilates for Beginners. There are five 10-Minute segments workouts on the is DVD.  And I did each 10 Minute segment as standalone workout or as add on to my morning workouts. The segments are: Core Basics Lower Body Basics Upper Body Basics Total Body Combo Long and Limber Stretch Even though this workout states that it is basic and for the most part it is, there were around two exercises that I found challenging.  Lara Hudson, the instructor does take time to set up each move. She emphasises proper breathing techniques for pilates.  With each move that Lara teaches, she gives you slight modifications to make the move more challenging.  There are not a lot of reps.  The most reps you will do for any exercise is eight. Equipment required - mat. This workout was okay. I thought Lara did a nice job a keeping pilates at a basics level. 10 Minute Solution Yoga - Review

10 Minute Solution Yoga is lead by Lara Hudson. When I did the workout, I did three of the segments back to back and I did the last two segments as add-ons to other workouts. The workout segments are: Yoga Basics Yoga For Buns & Thighs Yoga For Abs Yoga Burn Yoga For Flexibility & Relaxation Yoga Basics starts out with a breathing series and then Lara teaches you the Sun Salutation.  Lara's Sun Salutation consist of doing the mountain pose, forward fold, high plank to low plank, upward facing dog,downward facing dog then forward fold, into prayer pose and back into mountain pose.  Lara also demonstrated the Warrior 1 pose. 3 stars Yoga For the Buns & Thighs consisted of doing pretty much the same series in Yoga Basics.  Lara demonstrated the chair pose before moving into the Sun Salutations series.  Lara added on to the Sun Salutation by adding a back leg reach into several warrior poses. 10 Minutes Solution Rapid Results Pilates - Review

This 10 Minute Solution Rapid Results workout is lead by Lara Hudson. I like Lara. I find her cuing easy to follow and her demeanor is very relaxing. The workout features five 10 minute pilates sections: Super Toned Buns and Thighs - 4 Stars Arm and Shoulder Shaper - 5 Stars Waist Slimmer - 4 Stars Total Body Blast - 3 Stars Slim and Sleek Stretch - 3 stars I found this workout to be a bit easier to execute than the original 10 Minute Solution Pilates workouts that also stars Lara Hudson. This workout feature traditional and very basic pilate exercises. There is nice flow to the workout. Lara moves seamlessly from one exercise to the next. The music in this workout can be found in any other workout. It wasn't bad but it didn't standout either. Overall I found this to be a very solid workout. 3 1/2 out of 5 stars.

I like. I like. I like. 10 Minutes Solution Pilates stars Lara Hudson. The five 10 minutes workouts in this DVD are: Pilates for the Abs - 5 Stars Pilates for the Buns & Thighs - 5 Stars Sculpting Pilates - 4 Stars (Works Upper Body and uses light weight) Pilates Burn - 3 Stars Pilates for Flexibility - 3 Stars This is definitely an above average workouts. I felt the majority of the pilates moves doable with a slight challenge. This is a good workout for the beginner. Lara's instruction is very clear and easy to follow. A couple of times she first ask you to watch and then join her on the next rep. My favorite sections were the Abs and Buns & Thigh sections. I just really like the way these two sections flowed. The other sections were okay and the music was mostly used as background music; really a non-entity. Overally 4 out of 5 stars
