A "Congrats!" Layout by Gerry van Gent

Hello Sizzix peeps!

Happy Sunday to all of you ....
Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day with your loved ones!

Today I prepared another layout for you using New Sizzix dies and a 

"touch" of old ones ....a perfect combination :-)
This photo of my son was taken last Summer on his 11th birthday -
a day certainly worth remembering :-) and treasuring on the wall.

To give more dimension and "glam" to the letters from my title I 

added "Dimensional Magic".  To be sure the letters won't  wrinkle and

to make them flat I die cut each letter three times.

 Then I adhered each letter on top of each other - it makes them now stable.

Subsequently I added the three dimensional accent.

N.B. I used the exclamation mark as a "body" for the dragonfly. 

 It took 3 hours for the letters to dry!

But once dry the result is simply amazing. 

As a final touch I distressed the letters with ink. 

 The Bookplate was die cut from corrugated cardboard and dark brown pattern paper.

When I adhered the pattern paper on top of the corrugated cardboard I distressed the

pattern paper with sanding paper. As a result you get "white" spots - 

these white spots I painted with blue paint.

I did almost the same with the die cut pattern paper matting the photo.

First I die cut the paper by using one of the NEW Mixed Media dies.

Then I painted the edges with gesso and once drie I painted with blue paint.

I used this flower shape to decorate my embellishments.

Perfect Moment

Hi All!

First of all, I wish you all a Merry Christmas! I hope that you are enjoying fun and festivities with family and friends.

Today I would like to show a layout about my perfect moment – summer, great weather, my family near me and good mood. What can be better?

The Washer Border I cut in many pieces and spread over the layout. Also I used the Washer Border as stencil with white acrylic paint.

I used doily to layer the flowers and to make my layout more openwork.

I cut butterfly using Mini Butterflies Set. I used white embossing powder and stamp to make resist-effect on the butterfly.

Всех кто отмечает сегодня Рождество, я хочу поздравить и пожелать всего только самого хорошего! Надеюсь вы сегодня со своей семьей и друзьями, радуетесь и празднуете.

А я хочу показать страничку об одном идеальном моменте - лето, отличный отель, хорошая погода, рядом семья и у меня хорошее настроение. Что может быть лучше?

Для создания этой странички я использовала бордюр - Washer Border - который я порезала на небольшие полоски, и использовала для создания фона. Так же этот бордюр я использовала в качестве трафарета с белой акриловой краской.

Бабочку я вырезала с помощью набора Mini Butterflies. На этой бабочке я сделала узор с помощью штампа и белой пудры для эмбоссинга. После чего побрызгала на нее спреем и узор проявился.

Ну и для большей ажурности я вырубила салфеточку с помощью набора ножей Doily & Doily Border #2.

Gift Tag

Hi all! 

Today I would like to show you a gift tag.

Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die - Washer Border (657826)

Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die - Card Edges #2 (657526)

1. Cut a tag from cardstock. Cut washer border from any cardstock. Use this border as a stencil with green spray. Then use yellow spray. 

2. Cut Card Edges and glue them onto the tag. Also glue decorative tape, laces, grid, resist canvas, flowers and etc. 

3. Use spray to make your tag organic whole. I used green, yellow and blue sprays. Take acrylic paints and smeared finger some of your elements. Your tag is ready.

Сегодня я хочу показать, как сделать не сложный, но интересный тег на подарок.

1. Вырежьте тег из картона. Затем вырежьте ножом Washer Border бордюр и используйте его как трафарет с зеленым спреем. Уберите бордюр и побрызгайте тег желтым спреем.

2. Приклейте различные элементы, такие как цветы, декоративный скотч, сетка, жемчужинки и т.д. Я так же вырезала ножом Card Edges #2 бордюрчики, и некоторые приклеила для более интересных форм.

3. Побрызгайте сверху спреями. Я брызгала желтым, зеленым и голубым. Когда спрей высох я взяла акриловую краску, и пальцем прошлась по некоторым элементам краской.  Тег готов.

For the Damask border (Damask & Scallop Borders), which was die-cut twice,

I used white cardstock. The "doily" part was carefully cut from the

lattice one and used as layers on my project.

In this way, I gave three different looks of the Damask Border.

Damask & Scallop Borders

The Scallop Border was die-cut also twice - this time I used

different pattern papers. I layered them on top of each other.

I cut the leaves from the decorative strip and used them

separately to decorate the flowers.

The top part of the frame (Frames, Fancy Rectangle) was 

cut and placed separately behind the lattice layer.

Om het  Damask & Scallop Borders twee keer te stansen heb ik 

witte cardstock gebruikt. Het "doily" stuk heb ik voorzichtig uitgeknipt uit 

het raster en daarna heb ik ze als laagjes voor mijn pagina gebruikt.

Op deze manier heb ik drie verschillende uitzichten van het Damask & Scallop Borders laten zien.

De schelp rand is ook twee keer gestanst - deze keer heb ik patroon papier gebruikt.

De twee laagjes heb ik op elkaar geplaatst en vervolgens geplakt.

Ik heb de blaadjes apart geknipt en vervolgens gebruikt

om de bloemen te versieren.

Het bovenste stuk van het lijstje (Frames, Fancy Rectangle) is geknipt 

en daarna achter de rooster laagje geplakt.
