Back from ProzArt 2013!

Hi again friends!
Just as I promised I'm back with photo relation from our Scrapbooking Art Retreat in Poland - ProzArt 2013. This international scrapbooking event took place ina little town near Poznan - and one of the main goals of this extra long weekend was not only to meet people, take classes and create - but also take a deep breath and relax... and we succeed! This was one of the most amazing events of my life - and I'm very thankful to Sizzix for great support and sponsoring Prozart - it made our Art Retreat even more special!
But I'm here to share photos... just take a look a this bunch of lovely, talented, creative ladies from Poland, Finland, UK, Israel, Norway, Ireland and Romania :)

Here is what what we did during our creative weekend...
First of all -  we had a lot of time for creating and a room full of wonderful, inspiring products we could use - mostly thanks to our great sponsors (including Sizzix of course!).

"Sizzix corner" was very popular during our evening crops and creative challenges...

We had challenges, games and prizes for the winners, of course!

And finally a photo session which gave us photos to use during 3 full-time classes taught by world-recognized designers: Karola Witczak, Kasia Krzyminska and me:)

In the end, there was always extra time for admiring the projects and thinking about some more creative fun!

What can I say? We all had great time and were sorry the event finished so fast. There was so much creative energy, wonderful personalities, new friendships and warm, supportive atmosphere it could last for a week longer :) It is not a surprise we are already planning ProzArt 2014, is it? :)

Sending good energy and warm hugs

Mini baskets at 'Passion for Crafting'

Happy Wednesday everyone,

Last weekend Finnish hand crafters got together in annual ‘Passion for Crafting’ event in downtown Helsinki. I was really looking forward to this event as I was expecting to see many familiar faces, chat with my scrapbooking friends and do some nice shopping. In addition, I was hosting a Sizzix workshop; a stop-and-go type of thing, in which we made mini baskets of chipboard. Yes, the weekend was filled with inspiration, good spirit and lots of fun!

Scoring chipboard and making really nice looking folds is not a simple task. But with Sizzix ScoreBoards dies making sturdy baskets, boxes and holders could not be any easier: The ScoreBoards dies not just cut the images very easily but also make nice scoring lines into the chipboard. After simple assembly and some decoration you finish your projects in no time!

Look for more inspiration on ScoreBoards dies here.

This mini basket was made using Candy Cup Sizzix ScoreBoards Die. Here’s a list of materials we used in my workshop:

- Big Shot Machine (655268)
- Sizzix ScoreBoards Die - Candy Cup (657724)
- White/cream chipboard or mat board
- Single colour cardstock for the inside
- Stamps, stamping inks (Distress)
- Two-sided tape

Using the Candy Cup die we cut the basket from chipboard. Before folding the basket corners we decorated the outside with small stamps.

Assembly of the basket was super easy (instructions can be read here).

For the basket handle we cut a thin strip of leftover chipboard. To avoid breaking the strip we bent it a bit between fingers before adhering with two-sided tape.

The last step was to cut four pieces of cardstock for the inside of the basket. I had used the die cut image to prepare a pattern which was then used for tracing the shape on cardstock. Those four pieces were put into the basket and adhered with two-sided tape.

Finished!

Have a nice and sunny week,

5th Scrapbooking Convention in Poland - with a help of Sizzix!

Hi there!
Today I'm writing you on Sunday....all because of a 5th Polish Scrapbooking Convention in Warsaw, which took place yesterday, on 30th June 2012. This biggest Polish scrapbooking event gathered about 30 online craft and scrapbooking shops and hundreds of visitors who could take part in classes taught by mixmedia artists, journalers and cardmakers, make and takes, mini-courses, contests, drawings and big lottery. Sizzix UK was an important part of the event too, sponsoring prizes for lottery, make-and-take and mixedmedia-scrapbooking class which was taught by me in the morning! Thank you so much !

I've made a short photo-relation for you to show what was happening on friday and on the day of the event... it is just a quick peek on the event, but I hope you will enjoy it anyway!

Friday, packing and kitting time. All my living room is covered by beautiful Prima flowers and embellishments, some nice findings, cardboard and papers which soon will be turned into kits for my class "Tea for 2" - mixedmedia layout. My brave Big shot works hard all evening!

And here are the kits, packed and ready to go! Aren't they pretty?

The class started at 9.00 am - I was very lucky to have a wonderful group of talented students from all Poland. We were making layouts based on Prima papers and embellishments together with Prima Stamps and LaBlanche Stamps and some spraying with Ranger products.

Sizzix Big Shot machine was a great help again - we were cutting out extra elements for our layouts !

And here is the photo of the group, made just after the class - happy faces and the most beautiful layouts!

The event was really full of people - they were shopping, taking part in contests, and winning on te lottery to! Sizzix sponsored the main prize for the lottery - Sizzix Big Shot starter kit. The same kit was given as a prize in random drawing among customers of the biggest Sizzix retailer - Scrapki.pl shop.

And here is the Make-and-take sponsored by Sizzix and 7 Dots Studio. We were cutting out and embellishing beautiful Tim Holtz envelopes. First, there was a demonstration of die-cutting and presenting different types of the dies...

... and then we had great time cutting, gluing, inking and embellishing! We had great time together and a lot of fun!

Here are some of the beautiful envelopes that was made during the Make-and-take:

Again - I'd like to give huge thanks  from the organization staff to Sizzix.uk for sponsoring and all the great support we received! Thank you for being with us!

Tired but happy - sending warmest hugs from sunny Warsaw!
xoxo
