Gift Bag

Hello there,
it is saturday and I am here again! For several weeks I had this nice SIZZIX BigZ - Tree w/flower, heart & leaves at my desk. Today I finally had the time to work something with it.
I created a birthday gift bag for my girlfriend.
The tree suits perfectly to the bag.

I used different colored cardstocks for the leaves and cut it out with my Big Shot Plus. The white tree trunk fits perfectly to the gray cardboard, I like it and I hope you too.
A very simple and fast gift wrapping!

I wish you a lovely weekend!

Gift bags

Hi everyone,
today I would like to show you some giftbags for pretty little things. I like to decorate the presents for my lovely girlfriends and think, they would be even happier if the wrapping would be something special.

I used one of my favorite dies: The SIZZIX Movers & Shapers XL Die Bag w/Flap #659197 and the SIZZIX Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Happiness Phrases #660804.

First I cut out the Bag with Flap with my Big Shot and looked for nice embellishments like brads, ribbons and add some nice flowers and a feather for decoration.
I used double-sided adhesive tape, some gluedots and brads.
The Happiness Phrases are beautiful for a ‘wordwindow‘ inside the box or also for a decoration outside.

I hope you will enjoy and have a lovely weekend!
Annika

Lovely bag for birthday

Hi Sizzix friends!

Today I show you what I have prepared as birthday party favours. I’ve used one of the dies of Where women cook. To decorate the bag I’ve also used the Craft Asylum dies.

The bag with flag die is very useful for creating beautiful bags for sweets. It’s a nice way to surprise your friends on your birthday and of course for a wedding.

I decided to die-cut the bag with this heart using the Happy Home die of Craft Asylum to Sizzix. I've added a vellum paper behind the heart shape inside the box. I have used different colours of sparkly papers to match the colour of the ribbon.

On the back side I have used the heart die-cutting where I’ve stamped and embossed the years I celebrate.

Here is a collage with the steps:

I’ve used the magnetic platform, it is very helpful for preventing die movement.

To finish the bag, I have drawn dotted lines before to assembly. Now, all is ready to put the sweets inside the bag !!!

I have closed the bags with colourful bows to surprise my friends!!!

He utilizado los siguientes productos Sizzix:

Espero que os haya gustado esta cajita bolsa. ¡Gracias por la visita!

¡Os deseo un feliz y creativo viernes!

Cute gift bags using 'Christmas Trims #1 and #2.

Hi there friends of Sizzix!

I hope all is going well with your special plans and Christmas preparations.

For today I made a couple of decorated gift bags.
I guess we are all going to need a lot of those in the next few days :-)

I used a couple of small ready made kraft bags and decorated them with pretty patterned papers and flowers from Norwegian manufacturer Papirdesign.

I am very fond of thes cute Christmas Trims #1 and #2  sets by Sizzix designer Debi Potter.
I think this little snowman is super cute.
The set comes with a sweet little bird and a tree as well that are perfect for making gift tags.

So you see, as long as you have the right dies there is a lot that you can do even with limited time.
No need to fret even if you  have not been able to finish everything yet. (I am sure you are not alone.) Good Luck!

A Very Merry Christmas from me to you!!

I used:
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 9PK - Winter Borders & Rosette
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 7PK - Ovals
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 7PK - Circles, Scallop
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 5PK - Christmas Trims #2
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 4PK - Christmas Trims

Winter is Coming... - Winter Gift Bag - with Thinlits!

Hi, it's my turn to take over the blog again!
As people say, Winter is Coming...

Although I'm not a huge fan of preparing for Christmas so early or creating in "traditional Christmas colours" I'm ready to take a challenge and create something in a bit Winter mood... Ready?
So, having Winter on my mind - let me start with delicate, faded colours - cold greens, blues, snowflake cut-outs (great Sizzix Thinlits - Christmas (659010)), big Prima flower and metal embellishments (ok, I know I'm addicted!) to finish with a bit of veil, some crystals, vintage buttons and pins and a piece of natural canvas. I was really having great time constructing this multi-layered composition on the top of this little paper gift bag!

All the papers I've used are from my new A4 Vintage Vanity Journaling Pad from Prima and all the metal elements are "Mechanicals" - my trinkets and caps from Prima. To get extra dimension I used some 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

And here are the links to the Sizzix Dies I used for this project - with white cardstock and Prima for cutting out the elements:
- Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 6PK - Christmas (659010)
- Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die - Medallions (658339)

I hope you are keeping yourself warm in this cold season - and find some time for creativity!
See you soon!

So here we go then with my project!

Easter is coming up fast, and the stores are full of overly packaged chocolate eggs that look great with all that bright cardboard and shiny foil, but once they're opened they're quite disappointing. In our house the actual chocolate eggs seem to get leftover and forgotten about, so I try to make things more interesting and use little handmade bags stuffed with favourite sweets and little eggs, and maybe a tiny toy to leave in hiding places around the garden for the annual Easter egg hunt my children and their cousins have.

1

I've called them 2 minute treat bags, and admittedly 2 minutes is probably pushing it a little bit, they take more like 5 or 10 minutes each, but they're still fast and you can whip up a whole easter egg hunt's worth in very little time.

You need Sizzix Bigz Die Birds 3 (number 657685)

I used layer cake squares for my bags (layer cakes are pre-cut 10" squares that you can buy in a set), and scraps of fabric for the bird appliques. Make a couple at once, using one bird shape for one bag, and the other bird shape for the second bag.

For 2 bags you need;

4 layer cake squares (or 4 10" squares of fabric - use pinking shears for a zigzag edge to prevent fraying)
1.5 metres of ribbon
6" square of scrap piece of fabric
6" square of fusible web
2 buttons
embroidery floss/cotton and a needle (to sew on the buttons)

Firstly, following the manufacturers directions for the fusible web, apply fusible web to the reverse of the scrap piece of fabric and cut the bird shapes using die 657685.

Lay one of the 2 different birds on a layer cake or 10" fabric square, in the middle but towards the bottom of the square.

Use one of the small circles cut from the die as an eye, and press the applique with an iron to fuse (because these are fast treat bags you don't need to sew the appliques on, the fusible web will hold just perfectly. If you were making something that was to be washed or have heavy use, use a blanket, zig zag or straight stitch to fix into place).

Sew a small button onto the 'eye' with embroidery floss or cotton thread.

bird1

Take the ribbon and cut into 2 lengths, set one aside for use on the second bag
Fold the ribbon in half, and pin onto the bag front approximately 3" from the top. Note that the folded end is just overlapping the raw edge of the side of the bag.

bird2

Take a second layer cake square/10" square and lay right sides together on top of the bag front.

bird3

Make sure the ribbon is poking out the top of the bag, and pin and sew using a straight stitch and 1/2" seam allowance round the 2 sides and the bottom of the bag. Don't sew the top - it won't be much of a bag without the top edge open!

Turn right ways out and poke the corners out well so they're nice and pointy

bird4

And repeat the steps above for the second bag using the other bird shape.

When you're done, stuff with small treats and tie the tops closed with the ribbon. These little bags are also perfect for birthday party bags, or for stocking stuffers at Christmas.
