1 die - 3 gift packages

Hello Sizzix Friends!
When I want to wrap some gift up for my friends I love realizing several packages in different style but using the same colours or tools.
Today I show you 3 different gift packages realized with the same die and the same cotton ribbon.

You need:
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles, Scallop (657552)

There's nothing complicated, you do not need any tutorials, only some tips:

-FLORAL PACKAGE
Fix the cotton ribbon and the baker's twine with two pieces of double-sided sticky tape.
Cover the junction with a scallop circle (for the cotton ribbon) and with a sticker (for the baker's twine).
The package back will appear well-finished.

-CARDBOARD BAG
As the package is so easy you have to make a perfect bow.

-COCKADE PACKAGE
Fix the cotton ribbon using a piece of double-sided sticky tape and then the cockade with a sticky pad.
Customize the package with your friend's capital letter to get a unique gift package.

Thank you for reading and enjoy your sunday!

Buongiorno amici creativi!

Vi do solo qualche suggerimento:

-PACCHETTO FLOREALE

Buona domenica

Foxy Lady!

I am a big fan of the late, great Jimi Hendrix and I am particularly fond of the song Foxy Lady which I once played in a band 'back in the day!'

The song was used to good effect in the movie Wayne's World in a scene which never fails to make my wife and I laugh. With that in mind I thought I'd create a card in her honour.

I have made a few animal cards using the hearts dies alone and I couldn't come up with a convincing fox until I turned my attention to my beloved Framelits Circle dies. My circles are made up from two sets as well as a couple from the Big Shot starter kit so I've got about 14 different sizes to choose from, don't worry, you won't need that many today!

I'm using a rusty orange bazzill card and some plain ivory/cream card to make my fox and to make it a little easier for the instructions I will refer to the circles dies in sizes from 1 to 10. One being the smallest and ten the largest just to give you a better idea

I drew two lines perpendicular to one another on a square of the orange card and placed a circle die (4) as shown before cutting. This will be reversed and used as the foxes face.

Next, I used a larger circle die (8) and cut away each side of the foxes face as indicated by the white dashed lines below.
Once the orange face was trimmed to size I used the same (4) circle die to cut an ivory circle and attached the face over the top.

To Make the ears I die-cut an orange (7) and ivory (4) circle before placing the same dies back onto the die-cuts thereby cutting two leaf shapes which I matted together before cutting in half using my scissors. Keep the rest of the orange circle as you can use it for the body later.

At this point I thought it best to reach for one of my scalloped Framelits (2) and I die-cut a scalloped circle from ivory card before attaching it to a square of Orange card. I placed my Circle die (4) onto the card as shown and die-cut the circle. Next, I placed the same die onto the circle and cut as shown to create the tail. Now I have all my bits I can start putting them together. I attached the ears behind the head before adding three black adhesive pearls to the face for the eyes and nose.

And here she is! I added a rectangle of patterned paper at the back and created the text using a trusty old Dymo. In truth there are several ways of composing the body/head/tail combo, I just like the graphic simplicity of this one

Baby Love!

Seasons and themes come and go in the creative universe, one day you are decorating a hat with spring flowers and before you know it your putting the finishing touches to your Christmas cards!

The one constant throughout the year is babies! Here at Sizzix central we are welcoming back Helen from her maternity leave and at the same time we will be waving goodbye to Hannah as she starts her very own.

Sizzix is always here to offer a helping hand and this week we are giving you the opportunity to download a fabulous range of baby papers for free (love that word!) all you need to do to find out more is click on this link.http://www.sizzix.co.uk/new-baby-free-papers-signup

We don't really have a current range of specific baby dies so I have been forced to improvise once more, which can only mean my good friends Framelits circles and Scalloped circles sets.

I started with a circle die and a slightly larger scalloped circle die before die-cutting a blue and a pink spotty circle from the free papers. Next, I die cut two shades of yellow card using the scalloped circle before matting them together with the circles. I used a craft knife to cut away a segment from the blue spotty circle and I used a smaller circle die to cut an aperture in the pink spotty circle before decorating both with suitable ribbon.

I cut two rectangles of white card (11 x 16 cm) and attached rectangles of striped paper before rounding off the corners with a punch. Next, I cut two rectangles of the patterned paper before trimming one end into a chevron. I trimmed the 'Baby Girl' border motif from the embellishments paper before cutting the name 'UNA' from the alphabet supplied using a craft knife.

That's all the work done now comes the fun bit which is putting it all together of course!

As you can see I allowed the 'Baby Girl' border over hang the ends of the rectangle before trimming as shown. Next, I attached the two banners before mounting the assembled bib using adhesive foam pads. The letters which were cut out earlier were attached to white card before cutting around each letter to leave a slight border. The letters where then attached to the card using the foam pads.

You are probably wondering what happened to the other die-cut shape, well, it became the pram on the boys card below with a little help from a couple of threaded buttons.

So simple yet so effective! have fun!

A Summer page in December.

Hi there.
Today I have a page for you that has nothing what so ever to do with Winter. :-)
I wanted to make a Summer page,...so I did. :-)

Here are a couple of close ups:
In this shot you see the Bigz alphabet die Block Talk. I cut out the letters from thin chipboard and I love the way they look. I dabbed them with some creamy brown chalk ink as well.

And here I used the Circle Scallop die:

Papers are from the Polish manufacturer Lemoncraft and chipboard word from Blue Fern Studios.

This is what I used :
Sizzix Big Shot Machine Only (Powder Blue & Teal)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 7PK - Circles, Scallop
Sizzix Bigz XL Alphabet Die - Block Talk Lowercase

Hej hej!

Sizzix Big Shot Machine Only (Powder Blue & Teal)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 7PK - Circles, Scallop
Sizzix Bigz XL Alphabet Die - Block Talk Lowercase
