"Captured Moments" Card by Gerry van Gent

Hello Sizzix friends!

It's Sunday and I am back with another project I created for you.
For today's post I prepared a card using a few Sizzix dies.

Captured Momentssiz
657900 Sizzix Big Shot Machine
658508 Sizzix Sizzlits Die Set Roses Flower Set
658221 Sizzix Originals Die Curly Gate
658551 Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die
658711 Sizzix Sizzlits Dec. Strip Die Ironwork Gate

Once I die cut the stems with leaves from the Roses Flower Set I used them to decorate
the flower clusters. Before adhering them I used a white pen and drew round the edges.
N.B. The stem & leaves on the right side of the card were die cut twice and
adhered partially on top of each other.

From the Ironwork Gate I used only a bit as decoration.
2

The Curly Gate was die cut twice - once using white cardstock and
second time using some corrugated cardboard.
I used the corrugated cardboard die-cut as a shadow.

I love so much how the Mini Filmstrip turned out - I call it the "dancing" Filmstrip :-)
I glued the filmstrip fristly only in the beginning and the end.
Then I partially  adhered parts of the filmstrip to give this "dancing" feeling.
As a final touch I added the buckle.

Quick gift decoration with Janna Werner.

Hello everyone, this is Janna with a quick and sweet gift decoration that fits nearly any occasion.

supply list:
655268 Sizzix Big Shot machine
655098 Sizzix Accessory - Extended Spacer Platform
654558 Sizzx Accessory - Decorative Strip Cutting Pad
658613 Sizzix Framelits Die Set - Wrappers, Circle
657691 Sizzix Bigz Die - Heart, Stem & Leaves
cardstock: American Crafts, Stampin´ Up
ribbon, stamp, brad, patterned paper: Stampin´ Up
ink: Tsukineko
rhinestone: Kaisercraft
glas: Ikea

If you´d like to give a small present to someone, but don´t have a lot of time to prepare an elaborately decorated gift, this decoration might be the right fit. I used the Sizzix Framelits Die Set - Wrappers, Circle with a white cardstock and a patterned paper. I adhered the patterned paper in the back of the white cardstock so it shows a little bit through. I used the Sizzix Bigz Die - Heart, Stem & Leaves to create the heart shape, stamped onto it and punched holes around it. Adhering the twine onto the heart was the most time consuming part - the thicker the thread, the longer it takes. If you use thick thread, make sure to not punch the holes too close to the edge as the paper might break.

I used dimensional foam dots to glue the heart to the wrapper, then I added a rhinestone as a highlight and ribbon on the top part of the glas. The final step was to attach the brad on top of the knot, this might be a bit tricky, but looks really nice. All in all this decoration might take 25-35 minutes.

Have a great and crafty day, everyone!
Janna

Materialliste:
655268 Sizzix Big Shot machine
655098 Sizzix Accessory - Extended Spacer Platform
654558 Sizzx Accessory - Decorative Strip Cutting Pad
658613 Sizzix Framelits Die Set - Wrappers, Circle
657691 Sizzix Bigz Die - Heart, Stem & Leaves
Cardstock: American Crafts, Stampin´ Up
Band, Stempel, Klammer, Patterned Paper: Stampin´ Up
Tinte: Tsukineko
Glitzerstein: Kaisercraft
Glas: Ikea
