"I was 16, I blinked and I was 73". Zadie Smith quoted this in a lovely interview on the youtube "Louisiana channel"; she was talking about the concept of time in her writing. Watch it - it's a joy.  And, by the way, I know the Louisiana, I went there to see an installation of Olafur Eliasson on the spur of the moment. Doing something spontaneous like this is so fun and liberating - even though I ended up knocking myself out.
