WE'RE ADDICTED TO DAYQUIL -Compilation

Great comp.with some bands you may have never heard. My fave here is The Crumbs, with a few very early numbers, including a cover of The Eat's stellar hit,"Communist Radio".I also really like the Totallies, with "Something Girl" and "Ann #9".The rest is also fine,A great comp on Lantzcentrl Records out of MN.Pop-punk to hardcore.

STIFF POLE RECORDS TRIBUTE-Attack From Both Sides , Welcome To Florida , Gotohells , Gimcrack/The Candy Snatchers

This post concerns the recent passing of Rick Konwinski, founder of Stiff Pole Records. There was also a recent memorial show, wherein all proceeds collected went to Rick's family, and featured some of the bands,on this posting.
First up we have the "Attack From Both Sides" single which has 2 FL bands and 2 CA bands on St. Pete's own Stiff Pole label. No Fraud,Face To Face(Still sounds like Dag Nasty ,to these ears, and a whole hell of a lot better than what passes for "emo" nowadays)Rhythm Collision, and Psycho Tribe.

Welcome To Florida, (Now Get The Fuck Out,...Asshole),has The Crumbs and Against All Authority from Far Out Records,on the east coast, and from the west coast of sunny FLA,we have Gotohells, and Pink Lincolns, all bashing out previously released tunes,a nice little comp, between 2 labels

Gimcrack/The Candy Snatchers split is a punk rockin' good time.Good listening for early morning work ritual

Gotohells make it look easy, just rock-a punk-abilly,the way they make it down here,in the deep south.

PART-TIME CRIPPLE-backyard guitar

A recent find, this old black man,who plays a punk -style blues acoustic guitar, from West Memphis.Found this tape abandoned in an airport locker. His real name is ,"Blind "Stanky" Frankie","(the Toothless Wonder)". He does have one tooth in his head ,tho. So,he does a Ramones cover,a Crumbs cover, and three originals about,Wal-mart,Steve Mcqueen, and, horoscopes of people at work that suck. There is some more tape, but I have to repair it.Lots more good stuff to come.True outsider music.

THE CRUMBS

This is a little comp. I put together, due to the lack of CRUMBS stuff on the web, really hard to find. Some of this came from various early comps.,Hot Curly Weenie,We're Addicted to Dayquil,A Slice Of Lemon, and Nuclear Winter.Stuff from the 1957 sessions in addition to,All Tangled Up 10",and I Fell In Love With An Alien Girl 7".Lots of cover art ,lyric sheets, pics and posters in zip file. One of my favorite bands of all time, rising from the ashes of another of my faves,Chickenhead,(get their 7" elsewhere on this blog, awesome).I hope these guys ain't mad at me ,I love 'em,and want to share them with the world.Sexboy almost played with the Crumbs a few times, but sadly, both deals fell thru.Miami rocks, the Cameo Theatre rules, and the Crumbs are the shit.Includes their early era stab at The Eat's"Communist Radio".Simply exquisite.G O D
