Based on the Dumb Audio Dynamite song,"2012" (soon to be immortalized on the split label 7" single ,with 15 bands all doing the same song ,thru Wheelchair Full Of Sluggisha Records!!) This is a mexican gang member styled acoustic number ,with a half of a beard and moustache ,and a tattooed teardrop! The Mayan calendar says we will all die on Dec.21,2012 ,but before that ,punch a Mayan in the face!!

THE ALLSTONIANS - Goodnight Daniel b/w Allston,Mass/Grey Afternoon

Third wave ska band from Allston,Mass. ,that owes much to the Specials and the Skatelites. I know they put out 3 lp's ,but this single is a conundrum. Not listed in any of their discographies (in fact no singles are listed at all!) , this must be a rare piece. Got it at a place called Java Town ,a small record shop/band space ,that catered to the kids of Ft. Myers ,for a limited part of time. Kinda sleepy ,and nowhere near as good as the aforementioned bands!

This is a single that came with a magazine,and has lots of strange music.Side A ,is East,and The Lee Ranaldo,William Hooker,Zeena Parkins,track is on the right path to weirdness.W.O.O.,is also kinda samply and strange.The B side is West,and Mike Keneally,busts out some kinda bluesy rave-up.The last song from Wayne Horvitz,is light,loungy,and very keyboardy.Sounds like an out-take from a Soft Cell album.Go figure.

The second release on Burrito Records was this fine comp.following up on Destroy Records comp.,"We Can't Help It If We're From Florida,from 1983.This is from 1992,and has some winners on it.Slap Of Reality offers up what sounds like it could be a Dag Nasty out-take.Roach Motel,and Chickenhead make appearances,as well as 5 other bands.Maggot Sandwich has 2 songs,one is 10 seconds long,the other is five seconds long.and a short one ends it all with Milk and Cookies.Put this in the time capsule,it's a piece of punk rock history!
