ONE FELL SWOOP - Live! At The Draft House ,Downtown Ft.Myers ,Florida 2/26/1992

I found a lost live recording in the vault! This is a really good one! Our last gig ever ,at the Draft House ,Joel ,our defacto drummer ,had a broken arm ,so he was relegated to keys and also did vocals on a few numbers.Shane Carwile was beating the skins ,Chipmonk and I were on guitars ,and Billy Drake plays guitar on a number with Sean Burch on vocals! The last track is the very first time FUCK (the terror rock band with Mad Asshole-bass vox,Big Black Cock -guitar ,and Shaggy Dick -drums) ever played together ,with a totally improv number ,"You".They later recorded several sessions together,and toured Europe. But back to OFS! Different versions of all their set list ,all their usual covers ,and some improv instrumentals. New covers we never played before include ,Wire's "12XU" ,KISS "Rock N' Roll All Night" and Cat Machine "Queen Turd Of Shit Hill"!And the usual covers of The Fall ,The Flamin' Groovies ,The Beat Happening,Syd Barrett,Pink Floyd,the Stooges ,Misfits,and Black Flag. Chris's guitar never sounded better ,and with Shane on drums ,we were pretty tight! Plese leave comments ,and let me know what you think of this great recording! Thanks! FUCK-rehearsal for european tour

This is, Mad Asshole,Big Black Cock,and Shaggy Dick,doing a quick run-thru on the set list,before boarding a plane,to begin the European leg of their world tour,back in 1992-93.Terrorist rock,heavy stuff,the ski mask is our defense,against the harsh outside world.Lots of covers of:Sonic Youth,GG Allin,the Ramones,the Simpletones,Toegazer,and Black Flag.as well as a healthy dose of Fuck's own original songs.Recorded at Morrisound Studios,in Tampa,after which we headed for our plane at Tampa Airport.

man,i never realized how hard it is to find some lisa carver on the web!i found the first lp(drugs are nice)and some costes and another earlier project from lisa(psycodrama),but this,probably her most coherent album,is to be found nowhere but here!spooky,haunting,and beautiful,much like lisa herself.great songs of despair and depression.fuck,flowers of darkness,and asseater all covered songs from this album,found on the suckdog tribute,"generation xl" ,found elsewhere on this blog.one of her shining moments,i commend thee!if you never heard this don't be put off by the name,some great stuff that folks should be hearing.

Terrorist rock of the highest order,these guys only performed in ski masks while brandishing weapons.Mad Asshole on bass and vocals,Big Black Cock on guitar,and Shaggy Dick on drums,this stuff was recorded in the twilight time,at Club Black Nerd.All improv ,1-2-3-go! style,and it works like a charm,last track is a bonus ,live at the Draft House at One Fell Swoop's last show,just 1-2-3-go and we started a band.Covers of Rik L Rik,Black Flag,GG Allin,Angry Samoans,Sonic Youth,Simpletones,Ramones.Think Drunks With Guns meets Flipper and they have a pot of tea and listen to the first 7 Black Sabbath albums,it's that good.More to come,sadly no live vids or audio,only got one gig,due to name,announced on FM radio by Naughty Nikki,as the band so nasty we can't say their name on the air.She showed up and we delayed the show cuz we wouldn't play till she left.She asked me,"when are you gonna play"? ,to which I replied,"with myself,tonite"!A kid in the audience stood in front of me as I sang and bassed and in between songs I asked him if he liked K-Rock.he said yes and I whipped out a seemingly real pistol and pointed it at his face,I swear the guy looked like he had a heart attack,all in good fun.I dressed in docs,ski mask,gold lame' briefs and that's all.Still have rehearsal tape of said gig,Cape Coral demos,and more,check this out and kill!
