Fresh from his split with The Blood Red Oscars ,here's Dead Ken Frilly ,getting all psychedelic on us! Some of this is fuzzed out guitar ,psych-outs ,other stuff is spacey ,moogy ,weirdness.Good trippin' ass stuff from the new noise scene in Seattle. Experimental and unique ,as are all his releases.
No truth in the title! Well ,it is a new release ,but of an old ,unreleased session.Lots of shitcore singing ,yelling and even some rudimentary tard-rap! There is some music here ,but it is mostly dumb doo-wopping ,young jits ,gettin' the shitcan movin'!Really funny shit ,I listened to it at work the other day ,and almost lost it! Another example of the fine noisecore scene ,going down in Seattle , former home of grunge.
The band is Andean noise-folkcore. The longest track here clocks in at 00:31 seconds.Most of the pieces start out with music that sounds like something the guys on the tape cover photos would be playing , then there are blasts of ragged noise echoed throughout the rest of the number. Dylan & John ,from Florida & North Carolina ,respectively ,each do a 10 minute or so, piece of "music". Nice noisy stuff ,to get your blood (or fists) pumping. HG plays a feedback-laden blur of overmodulated shitcore. Kaagoo is mellow ,comparatively ,running thru a digital delay ,and espousing sentiments for your ears only! Recorded Nov./Dec. 2011 ,on Lady Anthrophagus Unincorporated ,in a ltd edition of 30 .Two great one-man-bands ,that sound great together on this split. My wish is to do splits with each of these guys and ICSSH ,and Frank Goshit ,and all these other new noise/shitcore dudes! Music that makes you think........
The very first offering from Jamegumb. The second release (Pederasty) ,is already posted on this blog somewhere's! This is one ,over 40 minutes,track ,full of feedback ,synth doodles,primal screaming ,and incessant drones. Sure to clear any room of your choice ,and you'll need what the album title suggests ,if you listen too closely. Good for backround ambience ,but equally great at full blast ,as you careen thru the streets in your tin can!There's a new noise scene in Grunge-land ,and it's being led by folks like Jamegumb ,Skindust , Teenage Mustache ,and other less visible bands. This is music to shit to!
A demo of Katter's one-girl-shitcore-band ,Norse Shit Band. Recorded 10/29/2011(in the car during SPNF4!!!) ,and released in a ltd. edition of 15 (!!). Her boyfriend ,Dylan ,he of the bands Hell Garbage ,Bloodponies,Gainmas ,and more ,has obviously rubbed off on her ! This is shit core with flutes and cellophane! Sounds like someone squeezing the Charmin while grunting/groaning on a whistle/flute, and beating on stuff with a stick! Really cool to hear a female in the shitcore genre.Maybe this will inspire more young ladies to do the same! Can't wait to hear more than just this one 2 minute and 25 second track ,it's a real tease ,making you long to hear more! Aaaarrrrggghhh!!!
One long,untitled shitcore noise track(or maybe a whole bunch of short ones ,all smushed together!) from HG ,and 9 tardcore ditties from ICSSH ,including covers of Warren Zevon , The Animals ,and The Grateful Gus(!!??!!) ,along with the end theme from the cartoon ,Courage the Cowardly Dog. Just fantastic stuff from both artists , I believe ICSSH uses some ukelele on this release. Eric and Dylan ,congrats on this fine split recording ,I commend you on your work ,and believe everyone should hear the new kids with the new sounds!This will be in the top 20 releases this year ,in my book! Only 30 copies pressed! Good luck on getting one!
More shit-core noise from Dylan ,(also of the pensive acoustic Bloodponies), this time joined by Katter ,on percussion and some keys. Recorded 8/7 - 8/9 /2011 ,and boasting "thousands of trax!no titles!yay!". Their slogan is "Fuck Music!!!" ,but I don't know if it means music you have sex to ,or the actual middle-finger salute in the face of music itself! All the songs are rolled up into one 41 and-a-half minute track.Thinking man's music ,clears the mind ,and opens it again. In the words of the immortal Danny Bays ,"Real Men Listen To Cassettes!" Released on Dylan's own Lady Anthropophagus Unincoporated imprint.
We've seen ,and heard ,John from Kaagootaabaa ,grow over the succesion of tapes he's been recording since last year. On this all-new ,2 disc set (with a whopping 85 cuts!) ,I was reminded several times of the Royal Trux double-LP masterwork ,"Twin Infinitives" ,and I must say , that this Kaagootaabaa release is the best yet. Recorded over Nov-Dec 2011 ,it sounds as if doing that split with Skindust a while back ,rubbed off on John a little.Pitting pensive ,moody acoustic guitar pieces ,against brutal and sometimes harsh noise pieces,and mixing in some power electronics sounding shit,along with inane vocalizing , is a winning combination on this recording. Split into 2 discs ,the first is, "Songs Of Love And Dance" , is back and forth every other song switching from mellow guitar instumentals ,to ear-blasting slabs of mindless noise. With an obligatory GG Allin cover song. Disc 2 ,"Songs Of Fun" ,include more of the hilarious song titlings ,as the first disc did, and features Dr. Bad Touch on keys ,on one number. Yes, John's come a long way in a short amount of time. Look for Kaagootaabaa on upcoming splits with like-minded artists. A whole lot of Kaagoo ,to take in all at once ,maybe too much fore some,but well worth it! This is the masterpiece John will have to live up to ,and follow-up with something even wilder!(if that's at all possible , I don't see how!)

Really great noise to relax to ,or crank up at work ,and watch those around you flee for the nearest exit! Working out at the gym to this ,will make you bigger! Turn down the sound on your tv ,and use this as an alternate soundtrack! Trippin' balls like a motherfucker!
Just in time for the season! Seattle's own avant-tarde ,noisecore boys ,are here with somethin' fresh for your yuletide! A weird alternate-universe type of xmas album is what you'll be getting here.There is a short(00:12 ) Aerosmith cover,and no traditional Christmas songs in sight. Cream Cracker is Dylan on guitar ,and Mick on vocals ,except when they switch roles on a couple of tracks. 8 Short and funny songs, bedroom punk bridging on tardcore, is what I calls it! Hell Garbage is Dylan with his solo noise, armed this round ,with just a drum machine and his sweet satanic vocals. 159 songs,all untitled! And this is also the earliest known recording of Hell Garbage ,from summer 2010. Dylan sent in a wealth of his material ,so I will be posting it here,periodically. The heaviest stuff yet from Spaceship Andy & Frank Silverberg (Skindust) ,in Seattle,WA ,as well as extreme killing from John (Kaagootaabaa) in North Carolina! If weirdo noise is your game , these are your boys! Another fine product from the Sluggisha line of recordings. John also made a video (see below) for track # 23 ,"Give Me The Phone". Another compilation of Horrordactyl ,the U.K. sensation ,this time doing all his own material ,and including a brand new ,recently recorded number ,"Samhain 2011". There is also Annie ,who may or may not be the spawn of Justin(Horrordactyl) ,singing on one track ,and playing drums on another track. There's tons more of this stuff ,with no end in sight ,as of yet. A melange of industrial,pop,noise,metal,punk,weirdness ,that really can't compare to any other band.I'll be posting lots more of Justin's bands ,including the one above this post ,Chihuahua Zycantah ! He will also be sending in some tracks for the upcoming Cat Machine tribute disc ,and Sluggisha's Xmastravaganza III ,can't hardly wait to hear those ones! His Butthole Surfers covers comp (on this blog!) got over 100 downloads so far ,and his 3 part "Plays Everybody's Songs" covers comp. got over 30 downloads apiece!
