WHORESHACK - Whoreshack 2 , But Not Too Whoreshack

This is the second recording from the instrumental trio. Although on this round ,from tracks 5 onwards , has special guest guitarist ,Steve Reed ! Kinda like the Ventures , if they were raised on punk and metal music. The only vocals here are imitations of Arnold Horshack , plus 3 covers of , Flipper , The Stooges , and Fear ! And a bunch of idle chit-chat at the last track. And an acapella rendering of the theme song from the Welcome Back Kotter TV show. Recorded live at the Bakery , 3/16/1993. The next post of this band ,will be their first album ,since we worked backwards in succesion. Then after that ,there will be a special posting of their appearance at the coffee house ,with Big Bong Theory ,and Conveyor.

SHIT BREATH AND THE TURD SAMPLERS

This is drunken classic rock styled,wastoid punk.Most of the tape is spent singing to and ridiculing a guy named Dave,who none of us knew,who was passed out drunk on the couch in Club Black Nerd.Lots of songs are covered,semi-covered,and there are originals as well.The finale is a 15 minute or so medley of original songs,and classic punk and rock tunes.Kinda like the band that played at a school dance in 1985,after drinking all the everclear laced punch.Very funny,as well as rockin'.direct from a 4-track master,thru a y-plug. TURD THERMOS-juvenile jerk-offs

It began as a tale of school days.The little kids had to line up their lunchboxes outside their classroom door ,along the wall in the hallway.I found a humongus turd floating in the bowl,took it out,found a thermos full of milk (in the hallway lunchbox parade),and jammed the turd into the thermos of milk.Wish I had a picture of the kid's face when he opened his milk at lunch!Me,Vance,Billy,and Mike,at the bakery.Vocals thru a voice modulator,to sound like a little kid.A cover of ,"Jimmy Had A Nickel",from an old Little Rascals short.Songs of Super Mario,big brothers,vengeance on dad,no homework,20,000 school lunches,knife poopy,sour milk,skateboarding,and more.Pretty dumb tardcore,Old Skull ,bite this! WHORESHACK-the zipper

this is the 6th album from the mostly instrumental band,whoreshack.me and billy on guitars,mike smith on drums.this outing,the zipper,explores the sights and sounds of the carnival.there are some great instros here,including a small group of anal cunt-like beatblasts of sound,in the middle.always recorded in an empty bakery,where the walls and roof stretched for a mile,vibing the acoustics.a few tapes have vance on them(he played drums at the only live show),and steve reed played guitar once.this is a document of midnight madness,enjoy!and don't forget,funnel cakes are grease and dough!

SUPERCREEP

this is tardcore by sheer virtue of acid addled brain damage.richard martin on vox,brian reed drums,dave on bass,dug boone guitar,and steve reed guitar.they all play everything and switch up on vocals sometimes.i also hear keys and harmonica at points.most of this sounds like the recording style of the original old black bluesmen,and some lyrics and tunes have that downtrodden bluesy feel.richard is quite a character.some of his vocals are reminiscent of g.g.allin or sam kinison.and according to the song ,"richard's lament","he looks like sam kinison ,on a bad day,without his make-up on".features the worst covers you'll ever hear of u2's"sunday bloody sunday",and ac/dc's"highway to hell".funnier than hell!the longest ,and final track"we're orcs!",is uncharacteristic of the rest of the tape,and should be a college rock hit!there are some instrumental jams sprinkled in,and these guys thank the grateful dead and phish and hendrix in their liner notes.kinda like a tardcore mix of those artists.broken into 2 files ,as it was long.punks who became deadheads,this is punk!vive le' tardcore!

PUTRID TEETH-self titled debut

This is the tape that started the whole "turdcore" scene,which got it's start in the"tardcore"genre.mostly N.Y.Poop and Pooperman,then Poopdeck Pappy joined in.81 tracks of pure filth,driven by an axis of GG Allin,Sockeye,and the Mentors.the original track that spawned the band is here from live in WGOD studios,"Poopshoe"the song we've done on every tape,and was covered by "Buzz Workshop".this tape also spawned like-minded bands in MD. just from kids ordering the tape.mainly Chris Haraway and his band"Adolf Olliver Nipple"which will be featured as the next post.these kids kinda borrowed our whole sound(even down to N.Y.Poop's vocal stylings) to start their tardcore band.Putrid Teeth shared something in common with "The Eat" in that we had band members in NY and FL,but the sound is totally different.juvenile stuff that high school and frat boys would cum over,this is the beginning of a new world. art by Steve Reed.......G O D

CANDY BUTCHERS

...and here they are,america's newest hit-makers with that happenin' tall dwarves sound,the candy butchers!...,or so goes the intro to one of their songs,in tandem with a neil young cover and a velvet underground cover,that almost covers the spectrum of their sound,kinda folky-country-psych,with humor and fun.chipmunk and joel rizzo are the phenomenal duo who produced this recording,and it rocks rather well according to the description in the old sluggisha catalog"duo of drug-laced dudes,in a smelly bedroom,cranking out poppy/psych/rock/punk numbers,and sounding cool".i can't think of another duo that wields this exact sound,but if there is ,these guys rule the roost.there are other"candy butchers"out there (as a band name)but this is the only real CANDY BUTCHERS.cover art by steve reed,samples by me.you gotta have this!
