About a decade ago, I looked at a Cadillac from mid-70s and I was shocked to see all the things we took for granted back then - no seat belts, pokey, hard buttons sticking out to impale passengers, hard surfaces, a steering wheel that would split sternums, etc.

How did anyone survive?
