Stewart sets record for fewest laughs.

Only a person with a heart of stone couldn't enjoy the Jon Stewart's dilemma on the Anthony Weiner story.  As he points out, on the one hand, it's comedy gold; on the other, Weiner is Stewart's friend and a progressive Democrat.

Edgy or safe? 

Stewart generally plays it safe before an audience that expresses only the occasional chuckle.  Stewart finally settles on excoriating the media for not doing enough investigative reporting before breaking the story.
