But that's only because the Jesuits made the judge do it.

Court arrests and fines attorney for making anti-Catholic slurs in court papers:

Less than a month after a Minnesota attorney filed a court document laden with anti-Catholic slurs, the judge who bore the brunt of her comments has ordered her arrested.

Referring to Judge Nancy Dreher, who is not a Catholic, as a “popess” and “a secret Catholic Knight Witch Hunter,” attorney Nancy Isaacson’s filing had stated that “we may as well flush her papal bull order down the toilet.”

“The Catholic Church has millions of Jesuits working undercover around the country to fulfill the Church's agenda,” the memo continued. “They give orders, pull the strings, and their puppets like Nancy Dreher jump like zombies.”

Citing “unsupported and outrageous allegations of bigotry, deceit, conspiracy and scandalous statements against this court,” Judge Dreher ordered Isaacson arrested on contempt-of-court charges after she failed to appear on January 4 to explain her document.

Dreher fined Isaacson $5,000 and also fined Rebekah Nutt--Isaacson’s attorney--$5,000.

Describing the judge and other court employees as “dirty Catholics,” Nutt had said in an earlier court filing that “across the country the court systems and particularly the Bankruptcy Court in Minnesota are composed of a bunch of ignoramus, bigoted Catholic beasts that carry the sword of the church.”

“Catholic deeds throughout the history have been bloody and murderous,” added Nutt’s memorandum.

Those Jesuits, is there nothing they can't do?

Famous journalist Seymour Hersh explains to audience in Quatar that American military is controlled by the Vatican.

According to Foreign Policy:

In a speech billed as a discussion of the Bush and Obama eras, New Yorker journalist Seymour Hersh delivered a rambling, conspiracy-laden diatribe here Monday expressing his disappointment with President Barack Obama and his dissatisfaction with the direction of U.S. foreign policy.

"Just when we needed an angry black man," he began, his arm perched jauntily on the podium, "we didn't get one."

It quickly went downhill from there.

Hersh, whose exposés of gross abuses by members of the U.S. military in Vietnam and Iraq have earned him worldwide fame and high journalistic honors, said he was writing a book on what he called the "Cheney-Bush years" and saw little difference between that period and the Obama administration.
And:

He then alleged that Gen. Stanley McChrystal, who headed JSOC before briefly becoming the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, and his successor, Vice Adm. William McRaven, as well as many within JSOC, "are all members of, or at least supporters of, Knights of Malta."

Hersh may have been referring to the Sovereign Order of Malta, a Roman Catholic organization commited to "defence of the Faith and assistance to the poor and the suffering," according to its website.

"Many of them are members of Opus Dei," Hersh continued. "They do see what they're doing -- and this is not an atypical attitude among some military -- it's a crusade, literally. They see themselves as the protectors of the Christians. They're protecting them from the Muslims [as in] the 13th century. And this is their function."

"They have little insignias, these coins they pass among each other, which are crusader coins," he continued. "They have insignia that reflect the whole notion that this is a culture war. … Right now, there’s a tremendous, tremendous amount of anti-Muslim feeling in the military community.”"
The disturbing thing is that a number of commenters to the Foreign Policy post seem willing to swallow Hersh's crazy "the Knights of Malta control the American military" story.
Crazy story today; conventional wisdom tomorrow.

This is either a tribute to the slogan "Question Authority"....

...or it's a major entry into the "tin foil hat" contest.

Catholic apologist Robert Sungenis hosts a conference on the "Science of Geocentricism."

For some reason, geocentrism is an important part of Sungenis' apologetics ministry.

Like Young Earth Creationism, and Creationism in general, one has to wonder "WTF?"  How is it useful to make the truth of faith depend on a scientific theory formulated during the Bronze Age?

Here is Mark Shea's take on the conference, which contains some links to Sungenis' reasoning on geocentrism.

Or perhaps it was just a crappy movie that people didn't want to pay to see?

Particularly when the buried punch-line was that Christian believers should pay their hard-earned money to be insulted about their deeply-held religious beliefs.

Actor blames Catholic Church for lack of Golden Compass sequels.

Actor Sam Elliot has blamed the Catholic Church for stopping sequels from being made to the Golden Compass movie based on the first book of Philip Pullman’s atheistic trilogy His Dark Materials. The film, starring Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig and Eva Green, grossed more than $380 million worldwide after its Christmas 2007 release, but took in only $85 million in the U.S. According to the Internet Movie Database, the film had a budget of $180 million.

The 65-year-old Elliot, who played a Texan “aeronaut” in the film, charged that a Catholic-led campaign against the movie stopped its sequels from being made.

“The Catholic Church happened to The Golden Compass, as far as I'm concerned,” Elliot remarked to the Evening Standard.

He said the movie did “incredible” at the box office but the Catholic Church “lambasted” the filmmakers and “scared off” New Line Cinema executives.

The movie itself is about a young heroine named Lyra who fights against an evil organization called the Magisterium, which many people see as a reference to the Catholic Church's body of teachings of the same name. The anti-religious message was reportedly toned down compared to the book.
Sorry to see that the actor was Sam Elliott, whose characterization of taciturn westerners I've always liked, but this is a real dive into crackpottery, since everyone knows that if the Catholic Church had opposed the movie that would have been "box office gold."

In fact, the real scandal was that "[t]he U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Office for Film & Broadcasting had initially published a positive review of the movie, which was later pulled."

The atheist, anti-Catholic author Phillip Pullman chimes in:

"Pullman, the author of the book on which the Golden Compass was based, said that the likelihood of the film trilogy being completed is decreasing.

He said that Catholics’ efforts against the film “must have played a part” in the trilogy being shelved, the Telegraph reports.

Pullman has denied his series is anti-Catholic, claiming it is a warning about what religion can do “when it gets its hands on the levers of power.”
All uses of terms like "magisterium" and "pope" and the deployment of Catholic imagery in the book and film being pure coincidence.
The Vatican...is there nothing it can't do?

Creepy or Hoax or Both?

Does "this man" play a role in your dreams?

HISTORY

In January 2006 in New York, the patient of a well-known psychiatrist draws the face of a man that has been repeatedly appearing in her dreams. In more than one occasion that man has given her advice on her private life. The woman swears she has never met the man in her life.

That portrait lies forgotten on the psychiatrist's desk for a few days until one day another patient recognizes that face and says that the man has often visited him in his dreams. He also claims he has never seen that man in his waking life.

The psychiatrist decides to send the portrait to some of his colleagues that have patients with recurrent dreams. Within a few months, four patients recognize the man as a frequent presence in their own dreams. All the patients refer to him as THIS MAN.

From January 2006 until today, at least 2000 people have claimed they have seen this man in their dreams, in many cities all over the world: Los Angeles, Berlin, Sao Paulo, Tehran, Beijing, Rome, Barcelona, Stockholm, Paris, New Dehli, Moskow etc.
It's probably a total hoax according to IO-9:

This website is actually the creation of a sociologist and marketer named Andrea Natella. He runs a company called Guerriglia Marketing which stages "subversive hoaxes" and creates weird art projects that are mostly about pornography, politics, and advertising.

I think ThisMan.org has to be Natella's greatest masterwork. It doesn't smack of artsy pseudo-intellectual "politics" like a lot of his other art does. It's just cheesy and a little bit scary. There really is something uncanny about the pictures of the man and the fake stories from people who claim to have met him. Sweet dreams!
Happy Halloween.

And they faked the Moon landing as well

The Jesuits control the Pentagon!!!!!

I like the part about how Oliver Cromwell was a "sleeper agent" for the Jesuits. Apparently, the secret Jesuit plan was to exterminate the Catholic population of Ireland and replace it with Calvinists, which would then advance the Catholic agenda for world domination.....how????

People are funny.
