So very typical of the Left.
It doesn't even occur to this leftist columnist that she's stealing someone else's property and engaging in suppression of speech as long as she can rebrand her crime as "fairness."
//That's Betta Stothart — a writer and publicist living in Falmouth, Maine — describing — in The Washington Post — what she and "a bunch of moms" were thinking as they were "grousing about" the proliferation of "Donald Trump signs along our version of Main Street." She says:
We felt assaulted by the number of signs. The idea of "cleansing" our streets seemed like the fastest way to restore balance and alleviate our election stress — at least, that night it did.
The escapade was not premeditated: We simply jumped into my Jetta wagon, drove down to the strip and got to work. In all, it took less than 20 minutes.
That is premeditated, lady. You discussed it in a group, and you had to get in the car — I call bullshit on "jumped" — and drive to another location, and you engaged in an activity that took 20 minutes.
We grabbed about 40 signs and threw them in the hatchback. I hadn’t really thought about what I would do with the signs; I just wanted them gone. At the time, we believed we were doing the right thing. There were so many Trump signs up and down our main drag — it was destroying all sense of equilibrium in our community.
Equilibrium!
Anyway, they got caught by the police. Is that any surprise? They were doing something that took 20 minutes! //

The IRS and the FBI have been weaponized as part of the leftist political machine.
Why else would the FBI be playing the game of making Friday Night Document Dumps like a hack politician accused of corruption?
Maybe to protect Hillary from the fact that everyone knew what she was doing?

Obama's Third-Term.
Obama and Hillary's instinctive reaction to an attack on America was to forthrightly blame....
...Americans.
Specifically, American free speech.
We were told - falsely - that the free speech of an obscure Youtube video maker had killed Americans in Libya. The implied message was "be careful not to say bad things about Islam because Americans are at risk."
Stockholm Syndrome as National Policy.
Those who can remember back to 2007 can remember that Dissent Is The Highest Form of Patriotism and It is Evil to Question Patriotism.
But look at Hillary play the "Free Speech is Dangerous" card before her media enablers:
//“Hi!” Bloomberg’s Jennifer Epstein said to Hillary Clinton yesterday, when the Democratic candidate took questions from the press in White Plains, N.Y. Mediaite reports Epstein then asked this question:
“Are you concerned that this weekend’s attacks or potential incidents in the coming weeks might be an attempt by ISIS or ISIS sympathizers, or really any other group, maybe the Russians, to influence the presidential race in some way, and presumably try to drive votes to Donald Trump, who is, as you’ve said before, widely seen as perhaps being somebody who they would be more willing to—or see as an easier person to be against?”
Mrs. Clinton dodged the nutty Russian-conspiracy theory, but her answer still exerted upward pressure on eyebrows:
Well, Jennifer, I don’t want to speculate, but here’s what we know. . . . We know that a lot of the rhetoric we’ve heard from Donald Trump has been seized on by terrorists, in particular ISIS. . . .
They want to use that to recruit more fighters to their cause by turning it into a religious conflict. That’s why I’ve been very clear; we’re going after the bad guys and we’re going to get them, but we’re not going to go after an entire religion and give ISIS exactly what it’s wanting in order for them to enhance their position.
Secondly, we know that Donald Trump’s comments have been used online for recruitment of terrorists. We’ve heard that from former CIA Director Michael Hayden, who made it a very clear point when he said Donald Trump is being used as a recruiting sergeant for the terrorists. We also know from the former head of our Counterterrorism Center, Matt Olsen, that the kinds of rhetoric and language that Mr. Trump has used is giving aid and comfort to our adversaries.
Politico observes that “aid and comfort to our adversaries” is “the constitutional definition of treason.” That’s not quite accurate; the Constitution uses the word “enemies,” which is more specific than "adversaries” (Vladimir Putin’s Russia, for example, is an adversary but not an enemy). But in this particular case, the distinction lacks a difference, since she’s referring to ISIS, which is undoubtedly an enemy.//

Hillary Email Problem Gets Worse.
Waiting for the "Let's just Move On" argument.
"Once again Hillary’s been caught lying about her criminal mishandling of classified national security information. Recall that Ms. Clinton swears none of the emails which passed through her off-the-record email server system was ever marked classified.

Uh oh. Au contraire, madam, once again you are exposed as a liar.
Fox News gets the credit. In an exclusive report published June 11, Fox News revealed that one of Ms. Clinton’s emails had a “portion marking” that identified the specific information contained in the “portion” as being classified. That means the information was sensitive and was legally protected.
The information had the lowest level of classification, Confidential. It discussed a phone call with the president of Malawi, Joyce Banda. Fox News included an information-rich screen shot of the email."

Elitist discovers that regular Americans are remarkably like real human beings.
The search for racism among grassroots conservatives in America continues.
//Kaddie Abdul, "an IT data engineer working in Silicon Valley," decided to drive four hours to a Trump rally in Nevada to show how racist "those people" are. She wore her Muslim garb, held her Koran, and waited for someone to attack her. No one did. A few people gave her an odd look, but nary a nibble.
Darn it.
Apparently the Guardian in Britain had paid for her gasoline, so she had to write something, so she wrote: "I went to a Trump rally in my hijab. His supporters aren't just racist caricatures."
Actually, she meant "just aren't racist caricatures."//

How dare she commit this wanton display of journalism?!?!?!?!
Hillary gets asked about "enabling" Bill's sex crimes:
//On Wednesday's New Day, CNN's Alisyn Camerota surprisingly broached the issue of Bill Clinton's sordid sexual past during her interview of Hillary Clinton — something that the Big Three morning newscasts skirted doing in their Wednesday interviews of the Democratic presidential candidate. Camerota noted how Donald Trump raised the "allegations from your husband's past," and pointed out that "he's going further, actually, than that. He's making it about you. He's saying that you are an enabler of bad behavior and of sexual assault." She asked, "What's your response to Donald Trump?"
When Mrs. Clinton replied, "I have no response," the anchor pressed the former secretary of state on the issue: "But when someone accuses you of being an enabler of sexual assault, don't you need to respond to it...particularly since this is an issue that you wanted to talk about on the campaign trail — campus sexual assault — you say that survivors need to be believed, and they need to be heard. So when he's accusing you of doing something that is the antithesis of what you want to talk about, don't you need to address it?" //

When the chips are down Donald Trump plays the anti-Catholic card...
...against a Southern Baptist.
I say that America should welcome its first Canadian Catholic president to show its tolerance and inclusiveness.
//Here’s the key transcript:
DICKERSON: When you say about Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), “Not too many evangelicals come out of Cuba,” what does that mean?
TRUMP: Well, it just means that Cuba generally speaking is a Catholic country. And you don’t equate evangelicals with Cuba. I don’t. I mean, I think of evangelicals, and i have, I guess I am. You know, I’m Presbyterian. I’m Protestant. But I don’t see it coming out of Cuba.
DICKERSON: But you’re not questioning whether – I mean, as far as you know, he could be more devout than you are.
TRUMP: It’s possible. Certainly it’s possible. I’m not questioning it. And I say it in a somewhat smiling manner. But there’s a little truth to it.
What strikes me first about this is that Trump feels the need to attack Ted Cruz’s Christianity as fake. Trump wants you to think that Cruz is a secret Catholic, only pretending to be a Baptist (SBC) in order to get votes in Iowa//

Our fragile civil rights.
This is insane.
//While certain Republican presidential candidates have drawn the ire of reporters and evoked comparisons to the Holocaust for daring to discuss a national registry for Muslims, approximately one out of four Democrats support forcing Jews and Christians to register with the government.
A recent YouGov poll asked 1,000 individuals if they would support a national registry requiring members of various groups to provide the government with their home addresses.
The poll found 27 percent of self-identified Democrats either “strongly support” (18 percent) or “somewhat support“ (9 percent) a national registry for Jews.
Democratic support for a national registry for Jews is nine percent higher than the support among Republicans (18 percent) and 12 percent higher than the support among Independents (15 percent).
The poll also found 27 percent of self-identified Democrats either “strongly support” (17 percent) or “somewhat support” (10 percent) a national registry for Christians.
Democrat support for a national registry for Christians is six percent higher than support among Republicans (21 percent) and 9 percent higher than support among Independents (18 percent).
On the topic of registering Muslims, Democrats were nearly split on their support for a national registry.
The poll found 41 percent of Democrats support a national registry for Muslims (25 percent “strongly support,” 16 percent “somewhat support”) while 47 percent oppose the registry (40 percent “strongly oppose,” 7 percent “somewhat oppose”).
The YouGov poll was conducted on the Web from Nov. 20-23. The margin of error is ±4.2 percent.//

The historically literate call this "The Marius Rule"....
...and we remember it was Marius's violation of the unwritten rule about not holding the consulship more than once that invited in Sulla and Caesar and destroyed the Roman Republic.
///This is much like Obama’s strategy of governance, in which he has ignored many of the unwritten rules of American politics, trampling on custom and tradition. And mostly gotten away with it, leaving politicians (mostly GOP politicians) as mystified as Dem pundits are by Trump. You can get away with a lot, if you don’t care what people who don’t like you think, only if they can stop you. Whether it’s a good formula for the country over the longer term, of course, is a separate question entirely.//

The internet is a game changer.
Previously, the media could change the rules every four or eight years and then act dumb about what it was doing.
Now, proving media bias is a google search away.
//If you watched the video until the end, you also witnessed Anderson Cooper dismiss this bombshell as non-news.
Think about what happened there…
CNN proved Obama lied about his adult relationship with an unrepentant domestic terrorist. And what was the result? Nothing. Nada. Crickets. CNN dropped the issue immediately. And none of the rest of the DC Media dared pick it up. What would have been an election game-changer had Obama been a Republican, was swept under the rug.
Obama lied about his relationship with a TERRORIST.
CNN caught him lying.
Obama lied about his ADULT relationship with a TERRORIST.
CNN buried it.
Today, however, CNN is pulling out all the stops to brand Ben Carson as a liar because they can’t corroborate a few nothingburger events that happened more than 50 years ago when Carson was between the ages of 7 and 14.
Of course this is an act of racism of CNN’s part.
The left-wing black presidential candidate who thinks “correctly” gets a total and complete pass for lying about his adult relationship with a domestic terrorist.
On the other hand, the conservative black presidential candidate whose “mind ain’t right” is being hunted down by a half-dozen of CNN’s investigative reporters who think it means something because they can’t find anyone who remembers a few fights from 50 to 57 years ago.
Going back to slavery, Jim Crow and segregation, Democrats — and CNN is staffed almost exclusively by Democrats — have been socialized into a culture that demands the destruction of every free-thinking black person who threatens their power.
White hoods, fire hoses, cross burnings, and German Shepherds have merely been replaced with what Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas (who has been relentlessly demonized by the DC Media for three decades) called “the high-tech lynching of an uppity black man.”//

What is NOT an example of "The War on Women"?
Answer: When Planned Parenthood attack a viable Republic female candidate for straying off the gender reservation.
Stay classy, PP.
//Planned Parenthood paid some of its supporters who threw condoms at GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina and at her supporters during an Iowa Hawkeye tailgate on Saturday.
The payments were briefly mentioned in a story by the New York Times. “On Saturday, women wearing pink, some of whom were paid by Planned Parenthood, protested Mrs. Fiorina at a campaign appearance in Iowa, throwing condoms and chanting, ‘Women are watching, and we vote,'” reported the New York Times.//

The racism and sexism that the left discloses when it can ...
...such as against Republicans - is nothing less than pathological.
//Just when I thought I'd seen the worst, it got even more offensive. Earlier that day, independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, of Vermont, had entered the presidential race. So, Halperin said: "I want to give you the opportunity to directly welcome your colleague Sen. Sanders to the race, and I'd like you to do it, if you would, en español."
What nerve, treating a U.S. senator like a trained seal! Who does this guy think he is, trying to evaluate how well a Hispanic speaks Spanish? And what does that have to do with being authentic anyway?
You know who, by their own admission, don't speak espanol well? Housing Secretary Julian Castro and his twin brother, Rep. Joaquin Castro, D-Texas, both friends of mine. You could bet Halperin would never put those questions to the Castros because, as Democrats, they're assumed to be closer to the masses than Cruz is.
I kept thinking to myself: "What if, instead of watching a Washington insider who is also an MSNBC contributor, I was watching Fox News' Bill O'Reilly demand that one of the Castros say a few words in Spanish so O'Reilly could determine if he is legitimately Hispanic?"
The left would go apoplectic. They'd call O'Reilly a racist, and they'd be right. In this case, the Hispanic advocacy groups didn't say anything.
Cruz responded: "You know, I'm going to stick to English, but I appreciate the invitation, señor."
I will also stick to English, Señor Halperin. You crossed the line. This was bad journalism, bad form, and bad manners.//
