Retiring 2019-2021 In Colors Blog Hop

We said hello, now we say goodbye to the 2019-2021 InColors:  Rococo Rose, Purple Posy, Pretty Peacock, Terracotta Tile & Seaside Spray, what was your favourite? I was super excited to see Purple Posy, but then with the issues with the ink, I would have to say my new favourite became Seaside Spray. Don't get me wrong, I still love the Purple Posy Cardstock, it's such a lovely subtle shade and coordinates beautifully with Highland Heather & Gorgeous Grape. And as far as pinks go, Rococo Rose was a great variation in the "pink palette", with a bit of an antique feel about it. Next would come Pretty Peacock, a tad bold and dark for me, but still a lovely tone - when I did ink up with it I was always happy, just not a "go to" for me. Lastly, Terracotta Tile - I'm just not an "orange" kinda girl. I would see gorgeous creations using it, but my creativity just never opened up to love this colour as a "go to" Now it's time for yo...

Goodbye Buffalo Check

In the up coming weeks I will be sharing with you creations using some of my favourite stamp sets that have been announced as retiring to make way for the new Annual catalogue coming on May 4th 2021. Today I've used Terracotta Tile with stamping of  Buffalo Check , with a phrase from Fancy Phrases , with die cuts from Nested Stitched Dies, embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder .... all retiring. I also incorporated a sentiment die from Flowering Vine Dies and cluster of gorgeous flowers from the True Love DSP. Orange tones are not my thing, I much more prefer Pinks, but I'm more than happy with the finished Card. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product - Last Chance items are while stocks last, so don't miss out . Quick Magnolia Lane Memories & More card

Try as I did, I couldn't find my mojo to create this afternoon, so I let the Magnolia Lane Memories & More card pack do the work for me, and I couldn't be happier with the result! The Memories & More card pack is full of beautiful designs, include some cards already with sentiments, as well as vellum sheets, and stickers to add to your projects - I can see a scrapbook page coming together with cards from this pack in the future. Once I chose the image for my card, all that was left to do what create a card base, and add a sentiment - I used a scrap that I had cut with Rectangle Stitched framelits and the sentiment from the Stitched all Around set, I layered one of the magnolia stickers under the sentiment panel (so easy, no fussy cutting)  and lastly a twine bow and some sequin  embellishment, then I realised mojo had returned! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips thi...

Share What You Love Simple Z-Fold card

Welcome to this month's Stampers Showcase Blog hop featuring FUN & FANCY FOLD themed projects, this is going to be such a fun hop!  I do love a fun fold, it's a great way to add a WOW factor to your cards, I've created a simple Z-Fold card, and it shows of the gorgeous (retiring) Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. My card is a metric take of the 6" x 6" card, I adjusted the measurements to fit a standard A4 cardstock by starting halving the width of the full sheet and going from there. Once I had the base elements, I layered each panel with a piece of DSP, here's a view of the fold from above. The Specialty DSP brought the card to life with a little shimmer here and there. For the focal point of the card front I used the Love What You Do stamp set (carrying over, yay), embossing the sentiment with clear embossing powder to give it a little shine. The new Stitched Nested Labels were perfect for a contrasting sh...
