Ink it! Stamp it! Christmas

Welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing projects inspired by our Christmas.  I am in love with the Snowflake Sentiments bundle , today I have a "2d" card with a colour combination of Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Island Indigo. I added some bling with silver glimmer paper for the swirls and snowflake die cuts, and "spritzed" a little Island Indigo and Pool Part to break up the Whisper White background. I used sponge daubers to create the ombre effect, starting with the lightest and working up to the darkest on the snowflakes and sentiment - I adore this effect! I hope you have enjoyed seeing another variation of a snowflake card, like I said... I LOVE this bundle! Thank you so much for joining us today. We hope you'll join us again next month to see projects featuring items from the upcoming Occasions Catalogue (launching January 3rd). I'm Sue Vine and to keep hopping around see the list below to see who is...

Snowflake Sentiments z-Fold card | Video Tutorial

I want to say a BIG thank you to all the lovely comments and emails I received for my  original card  made with the  Snowflakes Sentiments bundle , I am quite humbled to say the least! I had so many questions and requests about how to make the I decided to make another for you and create a video tutorial. I've used my "signature" colour as the base for this card, and adjusted the measurements slightly so that I could fit the Season's Greetings sentiment for this project. I used a colour combination of Powder Pink, Berry Burst, Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party with Silver Glimmer paper for this card - I just love this combination, (but I am partial to pink ), it's so pretty! I work in metric measurements, but have also tried my best to convert to imperial inches for you too - the principal for cutting and aligning the die cuts is the same regardless. Here's the tutorial of making this card - enjoy! Thanks for vis...

ESAD Holiday Catalogue Fancy Folds & 3D Projects

Welcome to the ESAD Holiday Catalogue Fancy Folds & 3D project Blog Hop. We're so excited to share our creations with you and we're certain that you will find great tips and inspiration from all our creations. The full lineup below will help you move along the hop, so grab a cuppa and enjoy! I've created a project using one of my favourite fun folds - a "z-fold", using the Snowflakes Sentiments Bundle The thinlits give the card lots to detail, and did take a bit of time to put together, but hey if I'm honest I overthink the the placement of the swirls and snowflake sentiments like 3 - 4 times before I stick them down, hahaha!, but I must say every minute was worth it, I am really happy with the finished card. Perfect Plum made the perfect companion for Soft Sky and Marina Mist and I also designed the height of the card so that when it folds flat it will fit in a normal C6 envelope Thanks so much for stopping by. I hop...

Ink it! Stamp it! Ghosting Technique

Welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing projects using some of our favourite Techniques. The full line up below will guide you through all the projects and we'd love to hear from you on what your favourite technique is?  Today I am showcasing the "Ghosting Technique", what's that you say? In a nut shell you create the illusion  of a  lighter shadow behind  a main colour focal point by  stamping with white craft ink first and then with colour over the top, slightly offset. I LOVE the effect this technique creates! I started by using Crumb Cake card stock and stamping my design with white craft ink - make sure your ink pad is nice and juicy so you get extra good coverage with your white ink stamping, here's what my card front looked like: Wait for the ink to completely dry, it does take longer than the other inks, but don't rush it - I took the opportunity to stamp some extra cards, you can never ...
