Say it with Stars... Happy Birthday

I've had a crafty orientated day today in between weekend household chores, after delivering catalogues, and in between multiple loads of washing & cooking I played with part of my So Many Stars bundle..... being the Stitched Stars dies (23 in the set, spoiilt for choice, woot!) These dies were perfect for the Global Design Project theme this week: I started by stamping my birthday sentiment, then placed 3 of the star dies (the 3 smaller detailed stars) in position and ran through the Big Shot, then re-positioned and worked by way along the edge of the card, cutting 7 in total - perfect for a rainbow of colour. I used 2 of the stitched stars to cut the colours, then placed them behind the card front and popped up on dimensionals, lastly mounting the card front on a Thick Whisper White card base, and there you have it, a fun Children's birthday card! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more i...

Beautiful Bird Ballad

Wow! where has the week gone, how can it be Thursday already? Following on from the weekend creation session with my daughter, here is the card. I've used some of the gorgeous Bird Ballad DSP for my background - to dress it up a little I used the scallop edge die from the Be Mine die set. I stamped my image then die cut with an oval stitched framelit and coloured with Stampin Blends, then layered on a scalloped oval and to make it pop added a  plain black oval before adding a cute polka dot bow for bling.  The sentiment and inner phrase is from the Special Celebrations stamp set, I really like the mixture of fonts for this birthday occasion. I carried the scalloped edge and floral theme to the inside of the card too, and mask and stamped the leaves, and added the small one freehand - super impressed with my freehand efforts, even if I must say so myself! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more
