Hearts Come Home with Bokeh Dots

It's cold, wet and miserable in Adelaide today, the perfect time to sit in your craft room and create! I headed over to the Paper Craft Crew this morning to kick start my mojo on a chilly morning, here's this weeks Sketch Challenge PCC302 : I've been wanting to play with my Bokeh Dots stamp set for weeks now, I combined it with one of my favourite Christmas sets Hearts Come Home to create todays project: I used a sponge dauber to apply Balmy Blue onto the star stamp in Bokeh Dots, being careful not to sponge right to the edge of the stamp so that the colour blend subtly into the card front, then stamped the silhouette images over the stars. I silver embossed and fussy cut the sentiment, and added Silver and Pool Party Bakers Twine for a little touch of bling - a quick and easy card to create! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more projects using Designer Series paper this month. If you l...

Hearts Come Home with Northern Lights Candle

Hello everybody, I hope it's not too wet & cold you you (I'm ready for winter to go away), and you are having an amazing day! I'm back today with the monthly Enjoy the Little Things in Life Video hop! Our theme this month is all about "3D projects" and I can't wait to see what the rest of the team has to share with us today. I decided to create something I have been wanting to do for a long time - decorate a candle using a stamp set. I decided to create a Northern Lights Christmas Candle, I hope you like it. I wasn't too sure if the decision to use a blue candle would work, but I liked the scent of the candle and was willing to give it a try, and I couldn't be happier with the end result! I think it will make a lovely gift, but I love it so much I may just keep it as a decoration in my craftroom! The inspiration for the candle came from the Northern Lights Christmas cards I made last year, you may remember them? ...

Christmas Sweaters | WWYS145

Welcome to this weeks with What Will You Stamp? This week the set we are sharing creations using the Christmas Sweaters stamp set Most Australia cities enjoy a warm to hot Christmas season, so we don't see many "gaudy" sweaters, but it was still fun to get in the spirit and create this card, helped by the fact that we have just had a cool and rainy weekend in Adelaide (yep, I was back in my track pants and ugg boots on Sunday after it was hot and humid 37 on Tuesday!!!) Here's my creation: One of my bucket list items is a "White Christmas", so with that in mind I choose the snowflake sweater and coloured with my new Stampin' Blends using Pool Party and the light Bermuda Bay. I kept with my theme and added texture to the background with the Softly Falling embossing folder. The sentiment from Hearts Come Home fits perfectly with this set too! The last touch was to add a little bling with Silver Thread, I also added a str...
