Stampin' Dreams Halloween Blog Hop

Halloween isn't a real bit thing in my neighborhood, but I usually do something with my daughter for her to take to school for treats. In the past I have even baked items, but with the year of 2020 I'm going for pre-sealed sweeties for this years treats. I found that Freddo Frogs fit perfectly into the Little Treat Box Dies, so all that was need was to add a Halloween theme to the treat box and they would be done! Well, I couldn't leave it at just that, my mind was working overtime (I tend to get creative in the evenings, before I knew it, it was 11pm), I made a couple of variations with the spider theme - the Metallic Mesh Ribbon looks great as cob webs! Now the details, the purple treat holder is the stock standard treat box made with the die, all I did was stamp the sentiment and spiders, then put it together - its really kewl, as you don't need to use any adhesive. There are little slots the fold into each other and hold it together all by itself, fold the sides up ...

It was a dark and stormy night.....with Blogging Friends

Hello and welcome to this months Blogging Friends Hop, our theme this month..... "It was a dark and stormy night......." It was raining when I was creating this project, I was in for a dark and stormy night, but what to create? I needed to think past a blankie with a warm bevvie and wanting to curl up on the couch - of course I think of Halloween, even though we don't celebrate it like in America (I do wish we did though, it looks absolutely amazing when everyone gets into it). I started by creating my own background with the images form Banner Year, I knew I wanted to add BOO, so then I cut 3 "coffins" in Basic Grey using a Hippo and Friends die, but they didn't look quite right - so I embossed them with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder, that's more like it, things were taking shape. I decided to cut BOO with the Playful Alphabet dies in both Basic Black and Blackberry Bliss, off setting to create a shadow effect.  After stamping the sentiment I add...

Happy Halloween! My daughter and I got crafty last night and whipped up these treats for her class in next to no time - she designed the whole package with Spooky Cat , I'm so proud of her! We had so much fun packaging these up and creating, I had her doing maths counting the sweets and bags and she didn't even realise... hahaha Apart form the punched cat (she is kitty obsessed) her favourite thing is the  "Eat at your own Risk" warning on the back of the pack, he can't stop laughing when she reads it! Spooky Cat | WWYS137

Welcome to this weeks with What Will You Stamp? This week the set we are showcasing Spooky Cat! I decided to make a step card, I haven't done this fun fold for some time now - just in case you are wondering, I didn't forget my cat's face, he is looking at the moon. I reversed the folds so that the middle panel is set into the back of the card so that I could make a fun 3D image by adding die cut branches from the Seasonal layers Thinlets Dies , here's a different angle so you can see the branches. The branches are attached to a little rectangle that folds flat when the card is closed, one at the back of the rectangle and the other at the front, creating different layers in the silhouette. This is such a fun set, and it also has a matching punch - so if you are a cat love is is a MUST!  Bundle  the stamp set and punch and save 10%, and there is also coordinating Spooky Night DSP !    Check out all the great projects from the De...
