All about Spring flowers with Stampin Friends

Welcome to the April 2018 Stampin Friends Blog Hop, this month the theme is all about Spring - here in Australia we are heading into winter, so for me it's a chance to remember all those beautiful blooms before the leaves start dropping and so does the temperature. So feeling a little sad, I decided to pull out the Blooms and Wishes set - why sad, it is retiring, so I thought I would get it inky again to show you what a wonderful set it is to have in your collection, here is what I created. If you haven't heard, there is also a colour revamp, lots of new colours and some old favourites returning - as I am saying goodbye to Blooms and Wishes I decided to create with 4 of the retiring core colours - Soft Sky, Pink Pirouette, Perfect Plum, Rose Red and Wild Wasabi. I stamped the flowers on Watercolour paper, then using an Aqua Painter washed in the Soft Sky background, I stamped the sentiment on Vellum and heat embossed in Silver - I do love the shimmer from ...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Holly Stene

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Holly Stene. I have been a long time follower of Holly, just love creations.... so chosing a project to CASE - Copy and Selectively Edit wasn't easy! I decided on the below card, I was drawn to the colours and just love stitched shape in the layout. I chose the Blooms & Wishes stamp set for my Holly inspired cards: I started by stamping my design in Fresh Fig, Cherry Cobbler and Blushing Bride and adding the leaves in Pear Pizzazz.  The feature for these cards came together really quickly, I altered the colour of the arrangement between the Cherry Cobbler and Fresh Fig, keeping the Blushing Bride as a constant through out all the stamping. To help the feature pop I added  spritzing in Fresh Fig and Blushing Bride to the card base. I couldn't decide what ribbon to use, so I decided on both Fresh Fig and Old Olive, matching the cardstock to the ribbon for the card base. Then I mixed...

Sparkling Falling Flowers

Sparkles, bling and pastels, what more could a girl ask for, talk about my favourite things! I am over the moon with these themes from the Global Design Project and Colour Inkspiration Here is my project - it is safe to say enter my crafting room at your own risk if you don't want any traces of glitter following you out of there! Glitter, glitter everywhere..... I made my version of glitter paper today! I started with a strip of Irresistibly floral Designer Series Specialty paper , using post it notes I covered the stripes and sponged the Inkspiration Challenge colours - LOVE this specialty paper, it is fantastic how you just sponge your colours on and you are left with a beautiful pattern - this product is retiring, stocks are getting low, so get it now before it is gone for ever I wasn't done there, next a coat of Versamark and then on with Heat & Stick powder followed by Dazzling Diamonds - BLING! I also inked with versamark when sta...

Delicate Details for Blooms & Wishes

Why do weekends always go so quick! Before I knew it I realised it was mid afternoon on Sunday and I haven't done any where near as much crafting as I had hoped, so I've made this quick card for 2 challenges I wanted to participate in this weekend        After almost of week off crafting due to injuring my back I was itching to make a card for CI05 - I absolutely adore the colours, they are so me! So that I wasn't sitting for too long (I've been told movement is the key for my recovery) I decided to #loveitchopit with the Falling in Love DSP as this paper features the colours of the Colour Inkspiration challenge. I've used this weeks GDP sketch challenge for the layout of the card, I dressed up the satin ribbon by stamping Delicate Details and adding Dazzling Diamonds over the Sahara Sand Ink, I repeated with the sentiment. I made this  similar style card a few weeks ago using this lovely DSP and Delicate Details  Thanks for ...

Monocromatic Mint Macaron | #GDP076

I'm playing along at the Global Design Project today, this week the challenge is 'CASE the Designer', no other than the amazing Kylie Bertucci. I took my inspiration from Kylie's layout, then when looking over my desk deciding which stamp set o choose I spotted my pack of Succulent Garden DSP......now if you are familiar with Kylie you will know all about #loveitchopit. I selected the Mint Macaron design from the DSP - I will so miss this colour.  I couldn't decide between the Whisper White background or Mint Macaron, so decided on making both!  For a little added effect I stamped some "lace" using the Sale-A-Bration Deleicate Details set - this set is yours to choose as your FREEBIE when you spend $90 AUD during Sale-A-Bration, how cool is that! Here is a close up: My sentiment is from Blooms & Wishes , and cut with an oval using the  Stitched framelits  and a touch of  Linen thread   compliments  the stamped lace be...
