Lovely Floral Banners for You

Welcome to this months International Blog Highlights, are theme for our creations is "Sorry". We've all done it unintentionally, but there just are times that we say or do something wrong and then need to apologise or we are sad for someone and want to let them know. A card is the  perfect way to do so and has so much power to heal the hurt that may be caused. My creation today uses the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder , I deliberately kept it "understated" and used pastel colours. I water washed the details of the embossing with  Powder Pink and Mint Macaron, such a beautiful colour combination,  I didn't have a "sorry" sentiment in my collection, so instead created my own version of sorry using the Banners For You set, and layered on top of the floral images with dimensionals. To fill a couple of gaps I used die cuts from Foliage Frame framelits Thanks for visiting today, I hope you

Tropical Chic on a winters day

What do you do on a weekend that is cold, wet and windy? Craft of course! The weather the past few days has been miserable, teasing me with moments of sunshine, only to be raining a few minutes later, and the wind, brrrrrr just chilly. My plan was to have a creation day today, armed with a hot cuppa I went into my craftroom and .... nothing, so I went looking for inspiration, and found it at Freshly Made Sketches . Wishing for warmer days I picked up the  Tropical Chic Bundle , I think this is going to be a "go to" set for me, I adore the flowers and the foliage, and the framelits have many options - die cutting the outline of a stamped image, or cutting foliage from coloured card stock.  Here's my FMS inspired creation using this gorgeous bundle: I've altered the design a little by flipping the sketch from portrait to landscape, I also embossed the background like some of the Design Team, love the depth this gave my project.

Banners for You | #WWYS122

Welcome to this weeks challenge at What Will You Stamp? This week the set we are showcasing Banners for You (page 32 of the Annual Catalogue) Using banners is a great way to make your sentiment pop on your card, and as the Banners for You is photopolymer it is easy to line up your sentiment inside a banner, and set also co-ordinates with the Bunch of Banner framelit dies, so these amazing banners can be easily cut and added to your projects. Here is what I have created this week: There are heaps of sentiments to choose from this set, and each co-ordinates with one of the 4 banners, you can also mix and match depending on your creation. I cut a second banner in Melon Mambo and layered under the stamped banner, and added a twine bow (I can't get enough of these lately) I used the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create my background in Lemon Lime Twist (my daughters favourite colour).  This TIEF gives amazing depth to the embo

Celebrate with Ink it! Stamp it!

I'm so excited to be part of the first Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing "Celebration" themed projects, I'm sure you will be inspired by what we have to show you. My project was made as a special request, it took quite some time, but the end product is so worth it! The theme requested for this Birthday box was "Bling" and Turquoise - I had lots of fun with glittler!  I used lots of products completing this Birthday Box, I got quite carried away!  The Birthday Blast Stamp set and Star Blast thinlets worked a treat, and Birthday Bright had the perfect Celebrate sentiment. The Number of Years set is fabulous to personalise birthdays and anniversaries too. I couldn't believe how mammoth this was to create, but when you think about it, the inside of the box alone is 8 card fronts! I adore how the shading came out on the Balloons. Here's a close up of the stars in the centre piece I made litt

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Billie Moan

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Billie Moan from Tennessee, you may be familiar with her blog Rambling Rose Studio . Billies' creations are just gorgeous, so choosing a project to CASE - Copy and Selectively Edit wasn't an easy task! I love layers and Billie's water colouring is stunning, however I decided on this card:  I was taken by the simplicity and challenged myself to make CAS card - I have an issue with knowing when to stop! Here is my finished project I swapped things around a bit, I die cut an mounted my sentiment, and stamped the images directly onto the card. My flowers are from the Flower Patch set (sadly on the retiring list), and I used the Banners for You Bundle for the sentiment. I just had to add a "Billie Bow", click here to see how this amazing bow is created and also a great tip on thread storage - I used gold metallic thread, a little fiddly but what a great effect!
