Pocket Text Pages Oriental Book

My WIP is finished for now, but can easily be added to at a later date if needed.

No real changes to the inside pages.

Apart from the addition of another charm.

And holes punched in the pages.

And red ribbon added through the holes.

To act as a binding.

Another image added to this page.

And the back page where you can just see the ribbons are tied.

Each of the pages has a top pocket with a tag in.

A view from the top.

And to show it stands up and reveal the tied ribbon at the front which can be expanded if I decide to add more pages at a later date.

I haven't shown the tags as you've already seen them all before.

A WIP - oriental text book pages

Machine stitched two sheets of text book paper together.

Machine stitched two of the sets of paper together to form a pouch.

Painted the pages in various shades of blue.

Edged each set of pages in gold.

Added random stamping to each page using black stazon.

Decorated the pages with anything Oriental, Asian, Japanese and Indian related.

Added charms and german scrap.

Back page (I think anyway).

Will be back when I've done a bit more.

Tag Swap - Stamping

Hilda is hosting a tag swap over on Lotstodo and I asked to be a 'maybe' due to time and she replied, yes but I know you'll have them done by tomorrow, so that was a challenge if ever I've heard one. So here they are, all 5 tags with a stamping theme. The green one (left) has diamond glaze over the butterflies and a few of the bold words. The next is a collage of images using different tones of purples, the middle one a stamp with the middle stamped again, left white and raised with foam pads and placed on top of the original. The next is a mixture of a few warming colours, yellow, orange, brown inked together on the stamp and german scrap added at the top and the one on the right is a distressed ink background (blue!!) with water thrown over and dried with a heat gun to give a watermark effect, then stamped over the top with the PBS image. Ribbon and fibres added to finish.

Playing Catch Up

This is my version of T!m's day 6 tag. I had to improvise and draw the tree myself, I think it could have done with being a tad bigger!!!! Oh and I didn't have any of the white flufy stuff either so I used white dabber paint

This is my version of day 5's tag. Didn't have any round fragments so have used the square ones instead and the images are from CI. My pine needles are a feather stamp from Paperarsty!!!!

And finally day 2 as I found a greeting stamp that I'd forgotten I had. Didn't have any mustard seed embossing powder though so had to use tea dye and it hasn't quite worked the same. Also didn't have the metal flowers and corners, and the mixing of the perfect pearls and flicking was easier said than done!!!!!

Lotstodo Week 31 - Recycled

The canvas's for all the above are made from a cardboard box. I tore pieces of the top layer to reveal the corrugated underneath and covered them with gesso. To the top 2 I added black acrylic paint and some stamping using black stazon and the to the bottom one I used gold acrylic paint and stamped some flourishes and lines in gold brilliance ink. The images are from Lisa's Altered Art. Recycled bits on the top one include the arrow which is part of a coke can, the wire for the hanger and the lace is from an old piece of net curtain. The bottom 2 just have an old hinge on the top to hang them from!!! German scrap, rub ons, gems, ribbon, were all added. Some dies were cut including the letters using the cuttlebug, some pieces were then embossed like the copper wings and the silver arrow.

They were made for Maz, Polly and Sue. Maz and Sue have lent me loads of stuff over the last few weeks, mainly to assist me with my wedding album and both Sue and Polly keep showering me with items to alter for a challenge, so I just wanted to say 'thank you' to them all.

Jigsaw Piece

I've had this jigsaw piece hanging around for a while but haven't really known what to do with it due to the shape, as in, there are lots of holes cut out of it and not much space to work on. But then I came across a lovely little image on Junes blog which she'd used from a digital challenge. I don't know how to do digi-art so I just printed him and cut him out. He's the little guy on the right. And as they say, the rest was history!!!!

Apologies for the location of the photo but it was the only place I could hang it and get some light on it!!!
