Having gone back to my Somerset Studio mag and reading the instructions, as opposed to just looking at the pictures, this one has turned out much better!!!!

Lotstodo Challenge - Inchies

For this weeks Lotstodo challenge I set the theme of inchies, then wondered what I was going to do?!#/%? Anyway I decided to stamp 6 x 1" squares of black card with swirls and versamark ink. I then embossed them using different colours and stuck them to a cube. This is the finished result. Haven't quite decided what to do with it yet!!!

Distressed Embossing

I've been playing with my new fancy corners, cuttlebug embossing folders. The image was embossed at random over a piece of card and then swpied over with a distressed ink pad. This obviously picked up the raised pieces, and I did the same on the reverse (bottom picture). I then added a few more colours and scrunched the card up, flattened it back out again and swiped the ink pad across again, this time the colours picked up on some of the creases too. I used a piece of 'cut n dry' and my stipple brush to get in all the little gaps. It's my mums birthday in May and she loves flowers, so I may incorporate this top piece into a card for her

Thanks to Sue at Paper Paradise for the technique info and also to Glenda Waterworth of Elusive Images & Graphicus for sharing on her blog (post dated 02 March)

This one was done exactly the same way, but I didn't use as many different colours. Due to the wetness of the ink, it tore in places, I quite like the effects.
