Triple Pocket Holders

Had another dabble with some magazine papers and used scraps of card, paper, lace, ribbon and washi tape to decorate them.

Tags & Atcs

Had a play with some backgrounds today and made these tags. I coloured the images with my zig pens which I haven't used for a while.

A couple more with Lynn Perrella Paperartsy stamps and a compass stencil I bought ages ago but hadn't used until now.

And finally a couple of Atc's. I cut the Teesha Moore boy with the hair image in half and used one for each atc.

Boho Jane

Using the fabulous ARTZONE stencils designed by Deb Wainwright I created this piece. The background has been coloured with magenta, orange and yellow Decoart premium acrylics which I applied with a babywipe. I used carbon black through the Boho Jane stencil, which is from the first release. I coloured in using twisted crayola crayons and added buttons and fibres to embellish.

All the stencils (and more) can be found in Debs online shop here. If you get chance, please pay a visit. They retail at £5.75 and are excellent value. They are made from a very robust material and because of this they are very to use and also easy to clean. They are also very versatile as they can be used either way.

Another Couple of Cards

It's my mums birthday on the same day as my BIL's, so I went with the same card template. I know it's not my normal thing, but she loves flowers!

The background on this panel is a ghost print from a gelli plate print using a Prima stencil.

And I needed a quick and easy thank you card for my sister. Again I used part of a gelli print and used paint to add the marks.

Entering them into the PaperArtsy challenge again for this week.

Tag Playtime

Well as it was chucking it down all morning, I decided to do something I've not done for a long time, play with some tags!

The backgrounds are mainly Crayola Twist Stiks but they don't blend very well and need 'help', so gesso was applied to the tags first which helps them move across the page better.

Close up - stamping with inks and chalky paints.

And pretty much the same thing for this one, just stamped until I got the look I wanted. I added some white pen work to this one.

Atc's using LP & Teesha Techniques

This is a pre-scheduled post as I am at Stevenage craft show at present and most of the recipients will have already had their atcs. So using the techniques we played with on the James weekend I made some atcs and a holder to put them in for everyone who went on the workshop.

So I created a border using bits brought home from James's weekend. I was lucky enough to pick up some glossy mags from the local charity shop, so created the faces.

Border and image outlined in black pen and white dots added with white posca pen.

You can see them better on this one, on the red background.

For these I cut out loads and loads of faces, it took me absolutely ages, then stuck them all on individually!!!

I then gave them a wash using Golden transparent high flow paints.

This is the one with the dioxazine purple hue.

And this one has the quniacrindone azo gold.

And the third one is a Lynne Perrella technique of putting down loads of different coloured squares, again this took ages and then to glue each one individually, 35 on each one!

The dots are hole punched shapes and the fibers are from stands of wool.

And the final set, backgrounds painted with Dylusions as I wanted them bright. Again using leftovers from the weekend, I chose 5 images that had been stamped onto fabric.

And was umming and arrring, but finally took the plunge and decided to sew them on. As you can see, I need more lessons on the corners - lol.

The word is just stuck on with glue.

This is quite a thick material, but still worked out okay with the sewing.

I think this was Chris's chosen stamp which I kept borrowing!

And finally, this was my chosen stamp.

Then I set to and made some little book style holders. Each one holds 4 atc's.

This is the two outside pages with a couple of atc's in.

And the inside pages of the holder.

Close up of the single outside page.

And a close up of one of the inside pages.

Stood up looking at the inside pages.

And stood up outside pages.

I then decided to put them in a box using gelli plate prints. The boxes were made using the envelope punch board. As I was putting a fastening on the box I needed to know who's was who's so put their names on the front and a little image.

A Stitch in Time

No actual sewing on this key ring, but has a sewing theme to fit in with this weeks challenge over at Artful Times, so I hope it counts!

Wooden spool used as the body, PA word stamp, altered fabric stamped onto a piece of fabric and adhered round the middle of the reel. Sewing pattern stamped onto shrink plastic, shrunk and edged in gold leaf.

Safety pin and zipper embellishments added along with the woolen fibers.
