Orc Shaman Conversion #2 Finished on Budget.

Why paint up a metal GW model for an orc shamen, when you can have more fun building one out of plastic pieces and a typical rank and file plastic orc boy and your bits box.

Of course not everyone can do the green stuff work, so that does make it a bit harder, but as seen with the first and with this secound one it can be done and give you something very unique looking.

The staff as you can tell by the glyph was once an orc boy spear, I added an overlay of GS and did the wood grain sculpting. Topped it off with a bit from the beastmen or skaven, can't remember which.

As you can see I gave him a pouch full of bones and other trinkets.

I think the tatter of bottom of the robe could have been better, an I maybe should have removed a tooth or two, but I am happy with the conversion.

A new Wizard of Chaos

Once and awhile you find a miniature, that you just do not want to change, because it screams something. Well this Tre Manor Red Box Games' mini is one of those.

I just picked this up. It is a tad bit on the small side being only 25 mm, but I think putting it up on a rock of apoxie sculp will with that. This will definitely be one of my chaos sorcerers for my Warriors of Chaos army.

Chaotic Sorcerery...not making the cut

Originally this guy was going to be my chaos sorcerer. Once and while you have this vision of what your conversions are going to be, and they turn out to be something entirely different. That's what happened with this guy. I initially liked the conversion, painted it and came to the conclusion that it just didn't work.

It came off very stale and boring in my opinion. So the model has been cut from the lineup.

Don't worry it has found a new home already. Like many of my conversions that I don't use, they normally end up for sale at some point. Although most I realize they are not working before I spend the effort painting. This one though I wanted to turnout, and it just didn't work. So that said, new sorcerers are coming soon. Nurgle....Tzeentch....Oh My. Just hope 8th edition doesn't completely blow chunks and trashes my plans for chaos.

So there you have it...

And oh by the way....Orc building is underway....big massive units....with much animosity.
