These are some kit bashes that I put together. I believe the horses are from Perry Miniatures, the rider bodies are Conquest Games Normans, and the heads are Gripping Beast Saxons and a GW Bretonian.
Really cool miniatures to paint.
It's been awhile since I have painted horses, they are always a challenge for me.
I think I got the eyes right. The one below is the rider with the GW head.
I really like the pose of this guy.
So there you go some Saxons.....more to follow.

SAGA's King Alfred....
I enjoy the Saxon tales from Bernard Cornwell. A while back I picked up this Gripping Beast Alfred model before I picked up the Saxon Miniatures models.
Least to say I'm kind of disappointed by the model. Its not a great sculpt, its better than the Hereward miniature, but still not very good.
I think Gripping Beast is missing the mark on many of their HQ models.

A SAGA Warlord...
I finished up painting this miniature. I'm not really sure who manufactured this mini to begin with. The casting took a bit of work to smooth out. I think the paint scheme turned out okay.
Its kind of a neat pose. The casting on the cape is a bit rough, but it does kind of look a bit tattered.
I don't plan on keeping this miniature. It will likely go up on auction on Ebay soon.

Saga Warlord
I'm cleaning out the bits box, can't remember where I got this miniature from, but I thought it would be cool to paint it up as a SAGA hq model on a GW 40 mm base.
Tree stump is resin piece that I had laying around.
Rocks are fake apoxie sculpt pieces with HO scale rail road ballast.
