Avatar's of War Painted - The Bleep! You Dwarf Berserker

This is like the second time I have painted an Avatar's of War Dwarf.  He is a spunky little guy flipping the bird.
Fun miniature to paint.  I don't think photo taking is very good on him, but its about the best my ancient digital camera can do until I get a newer one.
Another angle of him flippin' the bird.  This guy will be going up for sale likely next month on eBay.
That's it for now.....more to follow as always.

Finished Painting Red Box Games Dwarf

This is another cool miniature.  I like the looks of the sculpt.  Its one the older Tre Manor/Red Box sculpts which were generally around a 25 mm scale.

Really a lot of fun painting this miniature.  I painted it the same time I was painting the Reaper one.  The differences in them are quite huge, but both have a lot of fine detail in them.
Same scheme with my reds on the cape.
Like the Reaper Miniature, I don't plan to keep this miniature either.  It is for sale, if you are interested click the link:

Finished Painting Reaper Miniatures Dwarf

I believe this is a Werner Klonke sculpt....
Definitely a fun miniature to paint.  I think it turned out pretty cool, as I struggle with my left eye still.
I was pretty happy with the skin tones and leather on this.  The reds follow my typical red scheme.
Interesting little beer mug on the shield.  I guess dwarves like to drink.  I'm not going to keep this miniature so if you are interested it is up for sale, follow the link:

A new Midget Mutant Gor

My newest teenage Mutant Midget Gor.  Another kit bash, using a whole variety of bits.
His unique profile.  I look forward to painting these little midget gors.  I think they add some strange character to my chaos army adding the mutant to the barbarians.
Now back to turning some wrenches on the kart, fixing some things.

Some more additions to the Mutant Marauders

No racing tonight, got rained out on Wednesday night, race again on Sunday. So tonight we have beastman/bestigor with a weapon swap.  Another model that will be part of the mutant marauders.
Here you see the chaos warrior weapon swap.  Just something very simple.
And below are a couple of the Avatars of War dwarves that I also plan to use in the Marauder unit.
Again some simple weapon swaps and chaos shields along with a few chaos chains.  Straight forward stuff.

Avatars of War - Dwarf Berserker Finished

Now I'm normally not a dwarf lover.  I generally dislike all elves and dwarves, but the Avatars of War dwarves I do like.  They are very nice looking miniatures, and heavily muscled.
I started painting this miniature a couple of years ago.  I experimented greatly with the fleshtones, actually using a purple paint wash for everything in the shadows.
The purple definitely added a nice cool tone in the shadows of the miniature.
In hindsight, I should have used a different color for the cloth, too close to the goblin.
I think the red hair worked out pretty good.  The bronze metallics got a good weathering, that is about 5 shades of different colors highlighted with a gold.
The eyes are painted, but they are so deeply set in the head.
I like how the goblin head came out.  Love the green.  There you have it.  Entered it in the Adepticon Paint contest, but I knew that if everyone showed up it would not even come close to placing.

Blorc Nob Dwarf! Sounds like I'm cussing....

Last night I started a new project as I build a unit of Black Orcs to team with Grimgor at the head. Here is one of them. I’m using one of the 40k Nob heads, that gives him a particular vicious look. Added a “Wicked/evil” glyph riveted to his gut plate. There’ll be a number of dead empire, bretonians, and other humans through the unit.

And I did a bit more work on the TNA Nob. Thought about the whole flaming heads glyph and thought it would be cool to incorporate that on the ork head. These pictures show him on the ultra cool resin base created by Dragonforge. This is my first time of working with his bases and they are very good. And for a bit more detail, what better than a decapitated Tau. Hate those little bastards.

And for something different, I normally do not often show WIP’s of things that I paint. This Avatars of War dwarf is something I started a month ago and stopped. One day I will get back to model and finish it. Anyone that knows me knows that I really don’t like dwarves and I especially hate elves, so its really hard for me to get motivated to paint something like this. That may be why that goblin head actually turned out pretty cool. So far. For a dwarf this is a very cool sculpt, very smooth.

Next time probably some more Black Orcs and maybe some more on Bret Favre.
