Blood Rage Shield-Maiden Viking

I have a couple of these from the CMON Blood Rage game.  They are in part based of off some Adrian Smith designs.
This is a pretty cool miniature.
The one disappointing thing on the model is shield though.
Not exactly sure what I will be doing with this model.

Painted Blood Rage Viking

For being a relatively cheap plastic game piece, I'm rather surprised how well it paints up.
Yea this mini once had a massive spear, but that was so badly warped and I could not get it to straighten out.  So plastic is your friend and convert it right.....not so fast.
My normal plastic glue would not weld this, obviously a different type of plastic.
So pin and superglue the axe head.
I think its a cool mini and plan on painting the other versions of it in different paint schemes.
As always more to follow.

Blood Rage Vikings....How do they stack up?

Quite well actually.  I'm always skeptical about board game plastic pieces, but these are quite good.  Adrian Smith's art hooked me, then I saw the sculpts and were quite impressed.  The Spear that this model held was way over the top fantasy and quite honestly reinforced the one thing I was skeptical about.
So I cut it off and replaced it.  Besides axes are just cool.  But I bet you are wondering how does this figure look compared to some of the common wargames figures.  Below, from left to right, you see a Gripping Beast metal, Blood Rage, Foundry Metal, Gripping Beast Plastic.
Next a size comparison with an Avatars of War evil miniature.
Pretty cool, figure.  Will definitely be something that I use somehow.
