Medusa!

A new one for me is painting a Medusa.  This the second time I have painted a Reaper Bones model, and it will likely be the last time as well.  Not really a fan of that material, price is cheap and that is not always a good thing.

I've been looking for some decent Medusa models, this is not one of them.  The model just not good, neither is the sculpt.  I think my paintwork made it look slightly better.
I am eventually going to be doing some Greeks and this will be one of the models that I'm going to use with all of that down the road.
The above pic, shows one of those horrible mold lines that you cannot remove with a scalpel like normal plastic models.  And I did not feel like going in and fixing it with green stuff.
Quite honestly this model will likely never leave my game room.
Speaking of that game room, once I get the bathroom work done, that may be the next major project.
The above is probably the best angle of this pitiful creature.  If you know of some good medusa's please let me know in the comments.  Until next time, get out, and get things done.

Gigantic Evil Worm

So I have had this miniature for years sitting on my desk.  Its a Reaper Bones miniature.  The first one that I have painted.

I'm definitely not a fan of the Bones miniatures.  I really do not care for the material.  It is a cool mini though. The color scheme was more or less a haphazard affair of colors that I was just painting on some other miniatures.  I had absolutely no plan on how this would turn out.
It will make a good fantasy terrain piece for me.  I do plan to actually keep it in my collection.  As always more to follow.

BERTOK the Barbarian!!!! Converted and Painted

This is a Reaper Miniatures model.  He is a big boy.  I converted the model slightly with some bits.
It was going to be part of the Mutant Marauders, but that project is long dead.
I do like the looks of him and the musculature is awesome to paint.
The shield is one of those GW bits....

Painted Barbarian Axemen!!

Here are a couple more of the Reaper Miniatures barbarians that I have painted up.  Both are axe men.  This one I actually converted the axe as I did not like the original weapon.
Definitely a fun miniature to paint, lots of cool packs and armor.  Its a Tre Manor sculpt.  I do like his work.

This next one is a bit bigger in stature than the other.  He does have a wicked axe.  The face is a bit wonky.
He is similar in look.  On the furs I went with just some simple grays at first, then was like I need to have a wash of browns to break that up.
The leathers on both, I am just using the simple Reaper Master Series Oiled Leather Triad.

Painted Undead Hunter from Reaper

I finished up another hunter of the undead.  This is a cool miniature.  A lot of neat detail on him.
The miniature has some sort of GW inspired things going on with it.
Love the armor on it, its well sculpted and has good relief to make it easy to paint.
Those poor faces in the back.
I gave the litany look to those ribbons.

Gorak the Ravager!!!

Another awesome Reaper Miniature.
This is Gorak the ravager.  Another barbarian model that I originally was going to use with the mutant marauders as well, like the last one.
Look at the size of that axe.  If I would have had this in the chaos army, I would have dremeled that symbol off the axe and added a huge chaos symbol.  But with that project now dead, I just left it.
Simple leather and fur.
Again the muscles on this  miniature are pretty awesome. Definitely can see the Tre Manor sculpting.
As always more to follow....

Barbarian time by Crom!

Originally this barbarian was to be part of the mutant marauders long ago.  Its a metal Reaper Miniature that I converted with a shield and chaos sword and some armor plates.
I've probably had this miniature for 15 years or better.  I love great looking sculpts that have a lot of relief and undercut in them.  So this thing painted up very well.
 The musculature is wonderful.

The face and hair on this mini is kind of a let down as the rest of it is quite awesome.
Well that is it for now.  More to follow.

Another RPG Reaper Miniature Painted

I have no idea how many years that I have had this miniature sitting in a box to be painted.   It is an undead hunter from Reaper Miniatures.
I always loved the cape and hood sculpting on this miniature.  And it paints up very well.
I used my typical red and leather color scheme.  It's fun scheme that I was painting a series of miniatures with, I think a big batch Romans at the time.

That's it for now.  Its done.  This miniature will be going up for sale on Ebay.

Another Reaper Miniatures Paladin

This is another Paladin that I painted up.  Its a pretty awesome miniature from Reaper.
 It paints up pretty easily.
I love the flow of the hair especially.
You can see how that hair is layered.
The blue tabard is something I needed to help with the color contrast.
That's it for now....more to follow.

Painted!! Shaedra the Paladin

This is another of those interesting Reaper Miniatures.  Fun to paint.

 Like the little hand-crossbow thing.
Yea another blonde.  I think my reds and leathers turned out pretty good.
The back of this mini just flows so well.

There you have it, good fun....as always more to follow.
