Bray-Shaman Painted .... Bet you did not see that coming

Wow.  Its been a while since I gave my beastmen any love.  Honestly this miniature, I have had partially painted for years, like probably a decade.  Found it in a box, I just got around to finishing it up.

I have been toying with the idea of playing some Frostgrave and / or some Dragon Rampant.  So this is a model that would be needed with those Beasties that I already have.
Not sure why I put the scroll on the mini.  The skulls turned our okay.
The reds are my typical palette that has changed slightly over the years as far as the paints I use, but has not really changed in color.  Nowadays, I'm mostly using the Reaper Master Series Blood Red triad.

I hope I based him right.  I was going off of memory when I did it.
There you have it a new Beastman.  Get up, Get out, Get after it.

CHAOS!.....Time for a Minotaur

Seriously love the pose and detail of this Minotaur.  And the thing is absolutely huge.
There is detail covering this model, everywhere.
So, yea its been awhile since I have done anything beastmen related, but I still enjoy them.
That axe is massive and so cool.
And more to follow.

Shearing some goats from the Chaos Beastmen

Some more thinning.  No, I'm not getting rid of all of them.  I'm keeping many and some of the more fragile stuff that I would hate to ship.  This is the second group that I plan on letting go of.
This group has some more of the subtle conversions and then the added armor as well.  If you are interested in purchasing them click the following to Ebay:  Click this Link to Ebay Auction
I took a bunch of the inspiration for the armor from Roman period and also from the artwork.

This banner head is just really cool looking.  Fun to paint as well.
Some of the cooler ungors that I have done, especially the guy with the big bone.

Thinning the Chaos Beastmen Herd

These are some of my original Old Skool Beastmen.  Love these guys, but I just don't use them much for anything anymore.  So thinning out the herd and selling a couple of groups of them.  Not one of them is the same as the other, with tons of conversion work done to them.

So much like the Warhounds they are up for sale on ebay.  If you are interested follow the link:  Click this to the Ebay Auction
When I did these up they were very stylized.  Lots of bits of armor added to them.  Lots of subtle arm conversions.
The paint was all the so-called Non-metallic Metal or NMM, one of the dumb terms that miniature painters use to justify a paint style.
Good paint is good paint in my opinion, you don't need some stupid terminology to justify a style.
More to follow....

Unleashing more Chaos Hounds

These are the OOP GW Chaos Warhounds that I built and painted for my Beastmen army.  I'm back after 4 straight weekends of kart racing.  These are quite old, but have held up well over the years after a lot of games.  I have decided thin out my collection of miniatures a bit with the fall of Warhammer as we use to know it.

So that means these two units are up for sale on ebay.   The one above is at the following link:  Ebay Auction Link - Click Here
Here are some close up shots of the minis.  I remembered not liking these as I built them, but as I painted them they were quite cool looking.
I think the torn flesh is pretty cool looking.

Below is the howling unit.  This one is also up for sale, click the following link if you are interested in it:  Click this Link to Ebay Auction

I don't really remember what colors I used for the bodies, but I do think it worked quite well and accented the fur.

There you have it.....some more models that will likely be parting from my collection.  As always much more to follow as I continue with the Dark Ages and venture back to Rome as well.

Old Stuff Wednesday: Adepticon Team Army

Circa 2006 - A team-up army with my buddy Mike Butcher.  This was from Adepticon, our first team up playing in their Warhammer Fantasy Team tournament.
It featured my Beastmen and his evil Dryad trees.
I don't remember what we called the army, I think I wrote the fluff.  Mike built the longest display base on the planet.  I think it was part surf board.

His trees were quite evil looking.

Not sure what happened to his tree army, probably sold to someone, but the conversions standard amazing.

The centerpiece of the display was the Khorne monolith, that warped the trees into something evil.

Old Stuff Wednesday - November: Beastman Chariot #2

Back to my old Beastmen Army from 2003, the second of two chariots.  Don't remember everything about this one, but I did convert the gor rider with the great sword, and the driver is one of the old metal beastmen.

I painted the bestigor in red face paint, because at the time I was marking things with Khorne.  For the first chariot I had used the old metal beastman chariot, for this one I used the old plastic orc chariot.
The great sword was something that I had built out of plasti-card.

The shoulder pads from the plastic chaos marauder box, which gave the model a bit heavier bestigor look.

 Until next month.......
