Video: HISHE Guardians of the Galaxy 2

How It Should Have Ended created their animated interpretation of how Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 should have ended. It features character art and animation work by Daniel Baxter with background artwork by Otis Frampton.
Since it hit theaters we started building this episode. Some HISHE’s take longer than others and this one was one of those longer ones. One because there are so many characters in this movie we had to actually cut out some of our ideas. And Two we were in an extremely busy time over here with babies being born, going to conventions, and then moving HISHE into a new home. But it’s finally here! So please enjoy! This episode was a blast to work on. I’m sorry it couldn’t be 20 minutes long with 5 bonus credits scenes.

ASMR, The Internet Subculture Of “Sounds That Feel Good,” Is Going Mainstream

Blackfish is a YouTube content creator that loves to make stuff. Their most popular videos are of their weapons that they make from cardboard. Blackfish makes them all fully functional, so they all reload and fire like their real counterparts. On Thursday, Blackfish released a video of their newest template: a mini sniper rifle.

Continuous belt printers are pretty big news. Hironori Kondo took the time to break down the pros and cons in simple language. It turns out there’s more to it than simply having a bed that goes forever.

The JavaZone community-driven conference based in Oslo, Norway created this winning video that seamlessly blends the worlds of programming and Game of Thrones. Running against a series of other amazing videos that garnered 100,000 votes altogether, the dramatic, pun-filled video, titled "Game of Codes," shut down the competition with its stunning re-imagination of the HBO hit TV series.

Short Film: Starship Spaceship

A good guy on the run must join a Starship of not-so good guys to continue his fight against the oppressive powers of the galaxy.  After funding a Kickstarter in 2014 to produce a rough screener, its finally complete!
"In a galaxy overseen by an umbrella government known as The Vansecta, our characters live aboard a constantly moving spaceship looking for work, legal or illegal. Until a mysterious man named James Luke becomes a part of their crew altering how they all function together, as he is seemingly following his own agenda.

The series will follow the crews path through the galaxy and the people within The Vansecta maneuvering to control more and more. You will see the different cultures of the planets in this galaxy, as well as the intertwining of the religious, spiritual, corporate, government and underworld societies. As well as badass explosions and cool shit like that... BOOM."

Video: The Ensemblers

Dissolve licenses stock videos and photos. To promote its service the company sometimes combines some of the videos in its library into a cohesive clip. Its latest stock video mashup is a parody of superhero ensemble movies and uses cheesy puns to bind the whole thing together.
"How many characters does it take to tell a great story? If the latest trend in big-budget ensemble casting is an indication, the answer might be: all of them. Roll the trailer!"

Star Wars Gaming Tribute by Rob Duenas

Merchandising has been a huge part of release of The Force Awakens, so much so, artists are beginning to mock of the commercialization surrounding the franchise.  Here's a great example.

Mash-Up: Force Awakens / Frozen

It doesn’t have to be a Death Star, Kylo  :C

"It doesn’t have to be a Death Star, Kylo  :C "

Tumblr user Katarzyna Witerscheim has woken up to the fact that Kylo Ren from The Force Awakens is basically just Elsa from Frozen.  They both throw tantrums.  Neither has control of their power.  And, they're both dealing with a whole lot of inner turmoil.

Tren Fraszka even wrote some extended lyrics for "Do You Want To Build A Death Star?"  Check it out below, along with more mash-ups.

Video: BigHead Hunger Games

With so many parody videos out there that just seem to fall flat, it's rare to find one that's actually funny. Welp, Zoran Gvojic has captured lightning in a bottle with his "Bighead" take on poking at Hollywood films. While this film was my first glimpse into Zoran's bighead empire, if you get a kick out of it, then fly over to his JURASSIC PARK parody, his YouTube Channel, and Facebook page!

Video: Back To The Future In 2015

As the Internet has been reminded over and over, 2015 is the year that Marty McFly and Doc Brown travel to in the popular 80’s sci-fi movie, Back To The Future II. Back then, 2015 seemed so futuristic and far away, but in this new animated parody from College Humor, Doc and Marty, from Back to the Future Part II, travel from 1985 to 2015 and discover the future that actually exists today.  Flying cars, mini-nuclear reactors, and robots seemed just a couple years away, but 2015 hasn’t panned out that way.
