Today for our weekly Acts of TACKOS we did a windshield drop off. First we made a little note to leave with our gift ("Hope you have a great day! Enjoy a FIIZ drink on us! Luv TACKOS"). We went to FIIZ (a local soda/cookie shop), bought 3 gift cards, put them in an envelope with our notes and went across the parking lot to Smiths. The kids picked 3 random lucky vehicles. Skyler, Carson and Trey ran off to put the envelopes under the windshield wiper of the cars and then ran back to the car. We then parked in a spot where we could see all 3 vehicles and waited. And waited. And waited. We finally decided that we had to leave even though we didn't get to see anyone's reactions which we were all bummed about. Luckily we had seen one of the drivers when they got out of the car and literally the minute we started driving away the kids spotted the said driver coming out of Smiths. So we swung around, parked and got to watch as she got to her car, packed up her groceries, loaded her kiddo and then got into her own seat. The coolest part was we got to watch as she sat down, looked up, saw the "junk mail" in her windshield wiper. She looked visibly annoyed as she climbed out to get the "junk mail" out of her windshield wiper. And then we got to watch her face completely transform to a smile. She then started looking around as if trying to find the culprit. It was SUPER fun. Another cool thing is that while we were watching her the couple from another one of our vehicles showed up so we got to watch them too! They were surprised and kept looking around as well. Again, super fun. And the last cool part...as we were leaving we watched as car number 1 drove right over to FIIZ and got in the drive through line!
This was a really fun TACKOS project. The kids really got into it and really enjoyed watching for the car drivers!
